hi guys,something odd happened to my phone.it suddenly didnt recognize the sd card.i suspect that maybe the sd card is broken coz this is the 2nd time it happened.i cant test my sd card right now to see if it is working coz i dont have a card reader with me.tried soft resetting the phone and still the storage card does not show up.can you help me?thanks

yup its dead alright,tried using a friends nokia mmc card and it worked!its a kingston 256mbSD card.any card you can recommend coz it's the 2nd time it did that.is it recommended that i take out the memory card from the phone and replace it only when i need to view/save something in it?thanks again :shock:

iam using 2gb kingsten sd card on my himalaya for abt 2 months ,suddenly yesterday my ppc says to read storagecard u have to format it to become readable ,i formated it and it works fine but after few hours its not shown on memory,but when i inserted my old 256mb card its shown ok.sorry for my english anybody plz help whats wrong

Its the memory card......
I had the same problem. Sometimes the card shows, sometimes it doesnt.......
One day, it just didt want to display at all......
It was also a Kingston 2GB (One of those adapted ones from MiniSD)
I bought a new one, works fine!
(Oh yes, the kingston cards apparenlty have a 5 year warrantee, if you have the slip!)
its becasue your card is corrupted..try to format it in your pc and hope it will work.else......
My Storage Card (2GB A-Data) started to act funny when I set the camera to store photos on Storage Card. It was if files were disapearing from it and even it seemed as if there is no Storage Card inserted at all. Once I set the camera to use main storage again and soft reset it all became allright again.

install WM5torage on your ppc which will make you use your ppc as a cardreader..or you can try Resco explorer or i think Total commander

first install WM5torage on your PPC..then run the application and Activate it,,after that connect ur ppc via usb and a new driver will be found in your pc...after a little while a new drive will appear i.e your MMC..right click and format

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!
U are welcome my friend...the problem could have been caused by a virus or any software..maybe u ejected the card when it was in middle of something..this might have corrupted its sector..any way im glad i could help
I have just flashed my rom to the new wm 6.5 by phamquang.
my memory card doesnt seem to get detected sometimes...
i have to keep removing it and puttin it back in...
after that it works for a while, and then goes back undetected...
is there a problem or have i completely corrupted my mc? ...
if corrupted, can i use a new 16gb micro sd on this ?

I have a G1 which I got from US.. I am staying in Pune.. After returning here when I switched on the phone.. I get a notification stating Unmount SD card. I tried putting different SD cards but it doesnt get detected at all.. Seems a hardware problem as I tried doing a reset but it doesnt detect the card slot in recovery mode too.. It says the drive is unavailable. Can someone suggest me a place in Pune where I can get it fixed for sure... I tried calling HTC centre they said they need to check if the tattoo card slot or the strip is compatible with the G1.. Does anyone have idea if the card slots are compatible with G1..

please help me solve this little issue. I need to read the original microSD card inserted in my HTC HD7. Unfortunately my phone broke down and it doesn't start. I hope that my data is still on the card but if I put it simply in the USB card reader my computer see the reader but not the card. I suppose that I need some program to read it.
