Copy the apk file for the SNote from the stock rom and install it in yours, or flash a ROM like ultimate Jellybean and you'll get SNote with the ROM.
Problem is I love my current ROM...I have flashed the note8 snote flashable zip...but it doesn't show up in the app drawer..anyone with some help

Mate copy the SNote app (.apk file) from the stock ROM to the bare bean ROM in /system/apps ans set the permission to rw-r-r and it will be there in the ROM as a system app. This only if the ROM you're using is a touchwiz ROM. Follow this and it surely will be in the apps. Click thanks if i helped.

Hi guys.... i have installed the attached MIUI 3D gallery and i find it fastest then the stock app.... To installl just overwrite the original Gallery3D.apk in system/app.
P.S.: i tried on mine XXKB3 deodexed files.... don't know if it works also on the original stock....
Yes, it's more faster then stock one. Thanks

Do we need this file?? or just copy paste in system/app??I've XXKB3..not deodexed will it work??
And yes what is deodexing? how to do it?
Well deodexing would be a better option.

@ TANU
Dude it will work without deodexing
Do we install it or just copy paste it in system/app?
Not working on my stock (non deodexed) XXKB3 rom. its force closing

1) make sure u r on safe kernel
2) full wipe/factory reset
3) wipe cache/dalvik
4) format /system /data /preload (may not be necessary, but nothing wrong in doing)
5) flash ICS rom & then safe kernel..
Can u give a link for a safe kernel nd a ics rom.......also can u give an apk for s note and polaris office
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
If you on Jelly Bean Rocket Rom you should have philz kernel which is safe.
Dont you have the Rocket Rom downloaded?
extract the following APKs and push it into
QuickSnote_Q1.apk > data/app
Snote_Q1.apk >data/app
Snote_Q1_Provider.apk > system/app
SMemo_Q1.apk > system/app
SmemoProvider_Q1.apk >system/app

for Polaris Office, try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2022051
install it as normal APK file
for the others move into its approriate folders using root explorer and correct permissions. App Icons will automatically come
How do u set permissions..and what does r and rw mean?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Use root explorer and go to permissions and you will see what I mean
Is root explorer an app...i have rooted my note
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Are all permissions to be set in a single manner....nd i did not get the point the rw--r.....how is it done?

right click on the file you added, select permissions. and the permission should be 644. root explorer is an app. to know what is 644, just check the permissions of another file in that folder. reboot and check again
i completely deodex rom system app and framework and push it to the phone (do not deodex preload).
after reboot to system stting app is missing.why?

Did you build a Custom Rom with a kitchen and installed this?
Or did you deodex only single apps from system and framework and push it onto a stock Rom?
Please tell us what you exactly did, maybe then it gets clear what you did (and what you wanted to do).
I used tools from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246 for deodex app
i only deodex system/app and system/framework.then I make .zip for flashable onto stock rom.
how to deodex app for galaxy note?
why setting app is missing?
could you guide me?
i come from optimus black/xperia v/optimus 4xhd user.
ps. I use stock rom of thailand
Use the kitchen for making a complete Rom. Not only some tools for deodexing some apk. Your approach won't work.

Easiest way is to cut all the apks from preload and paste to system/app then do you deodexing. Settings apk is located in preload on stock roms so thats why its missing for you. If you keep it in preload you need symlinks in system/app so that the system can find the apk
I already sy link all apk in preloaded

Hey guys, which one of the newest firmwares are rootable? I downloaded some of the newest ones and the ace ginger root file doesn't work for it so I had to downgrade until I found one that was rootable.
Sorry if this has already been asked or talked about before but I'm a little off on the Cooper forums xD

I tried the upd_1.zip on ddkq8 & it had worked. But when I flashed int2ext+ on BE kernel, device didn't boot & after a factory reset via cwm, it did. But this time, all the apps that need root access like the cwm, sd maid, etc., failed to open up & stuck on black screen with the app name label at the top. What could be the reason ?

Let's clear something up !
First of all, ALL ROMS can be rooted !
I have alot of experience in that, and after 3 years of testings first and only problem when u try to root a rom is SYSTEM free SPACE !
So, before complain that a rom cannot be rooted, just see how much free space u got (u can do that without root, using last 3.0 root explorer).
After u do that, make a flashable zip only with meta scripts that remove Maps.apk or something, than try again. It's 100000% workin !
Peace all !
Hi everybody!
You could easily remove bloatware (and much more) via aroma filemanager 1.8, just mount all, install zip from sdcard, select aromafm-1.80.zip run it and enjoy. The easiest way! Good luck.

There's a bloatware removal script for galaxy y that works even for ace. It works even without root. It is just a updater script that removes many unwanted apps. Just flash via recovery. Easy as that

As aromafm-1.80.zip by Amarullz is a file manager for all android , you can: remove or add any file anywhere, change the names of all the files , etc.
Good luck. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108

Thank you! Downloading. Thanks for everything guys. I gave cooper to my girlfriend and I had Stock on Fire installed and it's giving her problems. The /system seems to have gotten corrupted somehow and a lot of apps FC and when I try making a Nandroid it stops at backing up system.
I'm about to just flash the latest stock rom, root it and add the all in one ICS/lockscreen mod and just leave it there. Do you guys recommend anything else? I just want something that I can leave it at and not worry about anymore.

Hi SuperAce609, yesterday I installed S5830BUKT2_S5830VODKT1_S5830XWKT8_HOME.tar.md5, erased Thinkfreeoffice with aromafm-1.80, rooted with upd_1.zip, installed CWM recovery, flashed BE kernel and int2ext+, updated superuser and Google play and all went like a charm. I made it for practising and remembering the old times. Now, I'm back on my favorite rom again, but as I said before all went fine. Cheers.
