I have only tested this on my tablet with Pershoot's kernel, but I think it should work on other ROMs/Kernels as well. Please have a nandroid back at hand before flashing this...I am not responsible for anything bad that may happen...you know the shpeal.
Installation:
* download
* flash with CWM
* place scripts you want run at boot in /system/etc/init.d
Update (9/16/2011): Fix, forgot to mount system before extracting init.d folder to system
Update (9/17/2011): Fix service was disable and not called

I think bindroid already has init.d support. Flashing on a rom that already has init.d support can lead to double execution of scripts.

I was playing around with a stock build today. Bindroid does have its own init.d .
Hey guys.
Just installed this on overcome rom, and was wondering, how to check that the scripts actually run??
Can I only put a script in init.d with what ever file ending? Or do I need to name it in a specific manner?

It works.. just enable the option in s2e to mount ext4 without journaling but someone said it's buggy with cm9. You can try link2sd or amarullz script which others are using in cm9..

Hey guys,
I tried to flash the Cronmod script on the latest Paranoid Android rom from OldDroid. First I flashed a patched servicr.jar, then
I mounted /data and /sdext, flashed the script and then formated /sdext.. but it doesn't work.
Can someone tell me what I did wrong there? Or is Cronmod not working on Android 4+?

Anyway we can add a command line in the flashble zip file to do it automatically

Okay I tried it again but it still doesn't work..
I flashed Paranoid Android, then I flashed the patched service.jar from you directly. After that I wiped cache and dalvic cache and rebooted.
After the first reboot I went into recovery and mounted /system and /data then I flashed the script and formated /sdext.
I don't know what I've done wrong there.. Maybe I flashed the service.jar not correctly?

Try mounting /sd-ext and formating it when the installation
If it doesn't work, extract the script file from .zip file and put it into init.d manually and set the correct permissons, finally reboot your phone, it should work too

Hmm I tried it now on another rom (ICS) and now it's working, but with some weird bugs. When I long press the on/off button (I mean the one in the right side) only the word 'shutdown' appears.. Usually there should be more than this one word (There should be buttons for silence mode, vibration mode,...)
Plus there isn't a lockscreen anymore.. weird

Hello guys
I am again reverting to stock 2.3.6 in few days so wanna ask you one thing that
Which is the best script for stock rom on ace
1 fly on mod
2 crossbreeder
3 adrenaline engine
4 pure performance engine
4 supercharger
Will i have to flash some other kernel to use some of them like supercharger on stock
Please suggest only one option cos i have tried combinations of these on cm 10.1 and phone was half dead
Thanks in advance
All of them require a custom kernel. Supercharger just requires root for script manager to run. Try pure performances x, it works great.

For me Fly-On mod is working fine on CM 10.1. I didn't get sooo much boost of performance (I'm using also overclock and seeder). Also Fly-On has uninstaller and a check function. The only thing I don't like about this script is the rng script. So I just deactivated rng from script and using Seeder instead.

I'll get in troubles if I use rng and Seedere because are the same thing. Fly-On is a good script because gives you better performance without sacifice stability. Also has a terminal line to uninstall it and works fine on any rom and any android version. Use smartassv2 or H3 governor to get buttery smoothness and good battery backup
Just use fly on & enable rngd using terminal emulator
