Phone: Galaxy S Plus (GT-I9001)
ROM: broodROM Jellybean Release 3
Android Version: 4.2.1
Kernel: broodKernel v3.3 OC/UV

i think there is nothing wrong with ur rom there, try to freeze da battery saving app, usually user giving permission to those app to do anything to save battery.
if u want to save battery, using greenify app would be enough.

there should be settings and option in this apps to prevent auto airplane mode. but i don't know how to.

i dont use that kind of app coz its got permission to alter system. so dont quite know bout that, but i already see broodrom, there is no such error so that must be app.

Prevent phobe from standby

Is there any way to see what app is preventing phone from stadby? my cm7 can not go to standby after 1 day of activity and doing a reboot fixs the problem. I want to find the app that prsvents phone from standby and just restart that single app instead of a complete reboot.

Umm I think this post would be better suited in the QA section.

Umm by standby do you mean sleep?

there is an app named Android Status. using this app I can see uptime and awake time. Yes, I mean sleep, low power mode, or whatever u name it. it is important than when my phone is NOT in this mode, it uses too much battery.

If you posted in the QA thread it might help,
Also revision of CM7, kernel etc...
If your on a CM7 < #14 then update.
Also check the inbuilt battery use monitor, it should show what's keeping it awake.
If you want your phone to last on battery, stay away from CM7, it is known to use more battery than stock rom's, 24-26 hours is about the best you will get on CM7.
would u pkease move this to qa?
u khow, the problem is not cm7, I want to know what app is preventing me from sleeping.

android version 2.3.6
Kernal [email protected]#2
Build Number

That looks like stock GB in which case it's likely an app that's causing the screen on issues. There's an app you can download called better battery stats. It will list which app is causing the screen on.
Post back when you know what's causing it.

Our phones are designed in such a way that the our phone's processor will run at more speed only when it is necessary..there are many reasons main reasons being
1) More speed=more battery consumption
2) More speed=more heat generated..continuosly if the processor is running @ max speed, more heat will b generated & it may harm your phone.
So, it is always good if the phone is running at low speeds for smaller processes & if it goes to deep sleep when u lock ur phone's screen..
200 is good. I even want my note to automatically go into to deep sleep everytime I press the power key.

[Q] Battery draining fast when turning on 3g and phone is getting extremely hot

Got the z two days back, the ph works fine normally, but as soon as i turn on 3g it gets extremely hot and battery dropped from 100% to 75 in 30 mins. No apps are running in the background. Please help me out...
Dont know what to do. Tried updating firmware, but still the same.
What do you mean by extremely hot? (If you place the phone on your skin then remove, does it change you skin colour to a pink hue?) becuase that is extremely hot for a phone (My HTC running turn by turn navigation did that normally) The battery should not drain that fast, the only suggestion I could make is that you might have a faulty unit, it shouldn't do that.
Have you tried to freeze/disable the fast dormancy app which comes with the stock rom?

It's called "com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup".
The files are: "/system/app/fast-dormancy-wakeup.apk" and "/system/app/fast-dormancy-wakeup.odex"
For more relevant info in the Fast Dormancy subject, search it on Google. It can save battery when your provider supports it or drain when it doesn't.

If you have the same problem even with the stock firmware then the problem might be with the battery. Batteries that are old (2+ years of continuous use) sometimes overheat and don't last for long.

How long does your battery last (low, normal and high usage)?
If your battery is new then it might be a software problem. Check how many apps run in the background.
Did you also flash gapps? If yes which version (small, full etc)? The problem might be with Google search as it is most of the times (if not always) active and asking your device for your location. This results in wakelocks.
The solution is to remove the Google search permissions (go to Privacy Guard, and check Show built-in apps).
Also try and (optionally) turn off location history and reporting.
Another solution is to use Wakelock Terminator.
I hope this helps.

In your case (3G, Facebook etc.) 10 hours of battery life sounds normal. There is nothing wrong with your device.
