Hello, Im having a big issue with a pop up ad. I searched for a similar thread in the forum and didn´t found one, sorry if there is one.
My problem is with this deal-deals-net website, I don´t know why or how but it opens up with chrome every 10-15 seconds. I have tried a lot of things but nothing helps. I tried an adblock but it only blocks chrome from redirecting me to that website but chrome opens anyway. Does anyone know whats happening. Thanks
From the sound of it it sounds like you have a not so friendly software installed on your phone :\ much like an adware on a computer. Would suggest trying to uninstall it, or reinstall your phone and install the softwares you use one by one to see which it is and then remove it (if possible, else reinstall phone again and skip that software).
Thanks for the reply, thats the thing though i havnt installed anything weird and when i go to manage applications I dont see any wird ones installed. But how do I install my phones again?
You can try the function on adaway called adware search.. you can find it by pressing the touch key menu

deal-deals.net Possible Solution
This is a track online advertising campaign, owned by Neverblue, you can visit their web page and leave some salutes. http://fbsvu.com/
Well, after cracking my head, trying to find a real solution before I reset my S3, got on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2354533 who suggests this URL Ripper app., just downloaded and used, so far stops this unwanted url pop up... I´m going to keep trying this app.

I believe what this app did to help was preventing the internet browser to pop open by promting the action with the "complete action using" thing. Therefore the browser doesnt show the ad. Thats all I have experienced and I had to reset my phone to factory because the ad was getting my phone impossible to use, it opened up about every 6 seconds.

Many thanks for the prompt reply.
The problem isn't mine but someone elses. So are you saying URL Ripper was just a "sticking plaster" and you had to reset the phone to actually solve it?
Many thanks again.
deals-deal Wrong Solution
By mistake I thought url ripper stop that annoying pop up..... I could fix last post. Sorry, still trying to find the solution, or going for the total restauration on my S3.

Try an anti virus?
deal-deals.net
After remove apps one by one..... found a cracked swift key 3 app infected running background apps including this pop-up.
Btw, antivirus couldn´t detect this pop-up hidden in this cracked app..

Alright. Let me lead off by saying I searched google and this forum and I couldn't find the answer to my problem. I have found the "answer" to my problem that has worked for other people but not for me. So let me explain my problem and the solutions I tried. Any help would be appreciated.
I bought Beautiful Widgets from the market place. When i go to download it, it says "download unsuccessful". Let me make clear that i'm not rooted (or ever want to be) and I'm running 2.1-update1.
Solutions that I've tried..
1. settings > apps > manage apps > I cleared data in the "Download Manager" and cleared cache in the "Market" section.
Basically i took this advice, http://androidforums.com/samsung-moment/38687-problem-beautiful-widgets.html, it worked for that dude, Didn't work for me.
2. I've restarted the phone a few times and that didn't work.
3. I refunded my money, and bought the app again, didn't work that time either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Edit: I gave this a new title because paid apps do download, just not beautiful widgets.
Can you install any app at all or does this affect all apps?

thanks for the reply
this only happens to paid apps. After all of this happened, I successfully downloaded beautiful silent widgets (or w/e) in the market and it was free.

I tried both.. also i set up a google voice account (like that one post suggested) .. i signed in and out of it and back in.. and still that app didn't download.
extremely frusterating
update: ok i bought doodle jump lol.. and that worked.. so i guess it must be something wrong with beautiful widgets?

Do they take apps down when they update them? Just curious, after you answer that i'll give an update after I find out what the problem is.
A dude on #android on Efnet IRC has the same problem.
He tried to buy it, said it went successful, then it was authorizing purchase for a long time.
Then got stuck, then Google issued him a refund because of some server error.
Now, when he goes to his downloads, it says Beautiful Widgets still says "purchased".
The BW author is on twitter all the time. I talk to him time to time. I think it was yesterday he mentioned that there are problems with his server and discussing with the powers that be to get a new one. If you have a twitter account, you may try him there if you havent sent him an email already.
hum - having exactly the same problem.. says purchased, click install, says download unsuccessful.. Followed the cache clear and made no difference..

bumping this:
I have emailed dev - but no reply..
Anyone have any thoughts?
Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but Beautiful Widgets caused problems for me anyway. Constant freezes and crashes. Overall slowdown of everything. I'm back to normal after uninstalling.

Did you read my post? Launch the app, once it is launched three little dots will appear at the top or bottom of the screen, these are where you enter any applications settings.

Try a long-press on the screen? Most apps will follow the android guidelines of using the 3 dots to indicate the menu, but others (especially homescreens) will rely on long-presses to declutter the UI.

I already did yesterday
Hello people, how are you doing all? I am a new member and this is my first post. To be honest, I was searching on the web for a solution for my problem but really I haven't found any. My problem with my ((HTC Sensation XL)) device is that when I started using wireless internet connection and downloaded some books applications my device started to get slow :crying: and when I log in to any application on it it opens normally but when I press the back arrow it takes time to display the home screen and a small box appears with a circle in it and "loading" sentence. Another problem I have is that in the notification bar a statement of "importing books, please wait for a moment..." as if an application is downloading books without my permission, I tried so much to remove it but when I tap on it, it doesn't want to open!
Please friends, if anyone can help me to solve this disaster I will be thankful really cuz if it continued with me any longer I will be like :silly: :cyclops:
Thank you in advance.
Greetings from Libya
Well, I would delete the apps you installed right before the problems began and see if that helps out. For your second problem try going into settings-apps-all and find download manager and delete it's data to see if that stops the unknown download notification.

Has anyone else seen this? I've gotten it to pop up 5 times or so since I've owned this phone and I have no clue what app it could be. I have the same apps on this phone that I always have on my phones and the only difference is now I don't have Adaway. I'm assuming it's something that I just never saw before due to it being blocked. Am I the only one with this? It opens in Samsung Browser. At the time, I was in TheScore app looking at baseball scores...
Sorry, here's the picture:
It's definitely not a legit system message. If it's only popping up in the browser try going into settings / apps and clearing all data for the browser you're using.

Interestingly, here's what happens when I directly try to go to the URL listed in my first screenshot.
By any chance does it pop up everytime you unlock the phone or is it random?
It looks like a trojan or Malware to me!
It may be too late but I would NOT click to Fix Now button
I tried to look it up but do not see any direct hits for the exact wording
That's a SPAM ad. It's probably coming from an app or website you're on. Those are extremely common on tv streaming sites and file locker/file sharing sites. If you click on it it will take you to a site that will offer to "clean" your phone for you for a fee or subscription.

What these two guys said. I've had that crap pop up through Facebook vids I've watched and from links sent to me via Messenger. Don't click on anything, just back out!
clear your cache and check your apps list..uninstall fishy looking apps....
It is just an advert, various apps and website use a pool of adverts and occasionally it gives you one of those annoying fake system message ones, the worst once constantly vibrate your phone too - there is not much you can do other than close the tab and try again.
Hi guys, I need your help.
I debloat my galaxy s10 following some guides here on xda however now no longer works the multiwindow function between applications, in fact I can no longer run two apps along with the split screen.
When I click on "Open in split screen view" nothing happens, while the "Open in popup view" works perfectly
Does anyone know why? Maybe I deleted something necessary?
Thank you!
