Dual Shot like S4 - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys!
I was wondering about this and wanted to know if any of you know if it's possible to port the function of take a photo with both camera like the s4 does on the htc one??
Anyone is on that already?
thanks

I don't know, but it seems relatively hard to try to port something TW-coded into Sense.

Have anyone tried this way to root legend?

Hi all, I just found a website "unrevoked.com" provides an easy way to root few phones but it doesn't support legend, while I thought HTC Aria has a quite similar hardware to legend, so just wondering if there are anyone already tried it?
thanks!
be my guest , why dont you try it out
It doesn't work.
They don't have an htc legend to use for testing so they can't do it.
They did however say if they can ge their hands on one, as a loaner or from a store that they will do their best to develop a root for the legend.
Until then we have to keep waiting

Front and rear camera?

Will the one have a feature like the lg and samsung where it can use both cameras at the same time?

Not that's been highlighted in the reviews at this moment. I doubt this will be something available when the device launches, but we can be hopeful that HTC will add this feature. I doubt it will happen, but it's good to be hopeful.

I know nothing about coding, but i would think it should be capable right?

I'm sure it's capable, but there's the interest of doing it that the developers need to have before something like this takes flight. If you could find a developer that is interested in making it happen, then it could be possible. But to be honest, it's really too early in the game to start worrying about it. Still need to start with S-OFF, rooting, custom recovery, ROMs, kernels, etc. If any developer on here could chime in and give their input???
Why on earth would one want to use both cameras simultaneously? I'm not sure there would be a real world use for this. Can anyone think of any?

My sentiments exactly, that's more of a novelty feature than it is useful. It's just something for the manufacturer to day the can do out. Just like 3D cameras and dual screens it's a novelty. In glad sprint decided top keep the phone as it was designed. All I hope for is for HTC to do a better job of realising sources on a timely matter an a quick upgrade to 4.2.2
something clever goes here...

Why not? Say im in a really cool place and i want 2 send u a pic like a postcard. It would b cool 2 take dual pics or video 2 share. I dnt think its a novelty at all. I actually like that idea and would actually find it useful unlike a stupid 3d camera

Seems like a hassle more than anything. It would just mean you have to line up a shot on you and on the other person at the same time. It's something I'd never use. Now, the EVO 3D. I loved using that camera. Good thing my wife still has my old one.

Whatever floats your boat.
I'm sure some app developer will create an app that mimics Samsung's functionality. It just seems like a farfetched idea so no one has thought of or even undertaken the development of such an app yet.
Keep your eyes on the play store and the forums, I'm sure one will pop up soon (If not already).

Not to mention, only a handful of people have the devices. I don't think any of the Sprint models are even in developers hands.
Perhaps a quick photosphere?

[Q] Stock Android with HTC Camera App?

Does anyone know if there is a rom with stock android AND HTC camera app? Or is it even possible?
If you know of such thing, please do share!
Unfortunately the camera, like most apps, are deeply tied into the framework. If I could get Zoe, highlights and that stuff on AOSP I would switch in a heartbeat.
But in a ray of good news Hugo said that they were working with HTC on a solution... so hopefully the stock Android experience will benefit from Samsung and HTC

Thanks for the reply, I will wait patiently.
But do you think they will comply? I mean, Zoe is one of the selling point of HTC One, I can't imagine they'll give that up.

Is there anything we can do with dotview?

as some of you may or may not know, the desire 510 supports dot view. but it seems like a dumbed down version of the htc one dot view. is there anyway we can do something with the dotview to make it better?

You're right. I probably wouldn't but I don't want to dev on my note :3 I just wanna dev on this thing. Since its new. I want to help be part of the scene.
the dot-view on the desire is literally just time, and certain notifications. ex. messaging and facebook. but we cant answer the call by swiping up like the one.
Can't we just add the dot view apk from the m8

I do find that odd, because I uninstalled the dot view app before I got the case, giving me the ability to have the case and screen on. the touch screen works perfectly fine with the case on, so I dunno why they took out the swipe to answer/decline call
why we dont do sth with that
Hi.
Anything new in that case?
I'm really frustrated. HTC lies on their website that functions works on desire 510. Then u buyit and in the manual you read they don't really work.
So many ppl can write complicated apps here d maybe someone consider solving this problem. As someone here mentioned there is no obstacles why these functions couldn't work. Problem lies just in software.
Thank you
