Wow...Great looking ROM. So I am the first one ....
---------- Post added at 06:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:21 PM ----------
Few questions.
- Is it compiled from the latest Carbon source? So I am guessing it will be equally smooth like carbon.
- Will you keep updating this along with carbon updates?
- Why do we need to flash the 2g/3g fix? Is there a problem switching between 2g/3g in the current build?

You mentioned that the kernel has OTG.. Is this true? Lol

- From 9 June Carbon nightly. Now we are working to incorporate HALO to Dark Side.
- Of course. Surely there is a new update soon...
- There isn´t any problem with that. Dark Side has an special 2g/3g app (used to change 2g to 3g network automatically, you can set it up in various ways according to your needs). You can see it inside DarkSide Settings/2g-3g.
It has USB OTG like Matr1x for example (thanks to ziddey). Highly recommended to maintain Angela Kernel with this ROM.

Thanks. I understand your point.
Can you also post a reset kernel due to the prima drivers. This will be useful in case some of us wants to use a different kernel. No offence to the built in kernel, but just a matter of choice.

It´s important to know that this ROM for now only supports Kernels with PRIMA drivers, if you want to change the kernel only you can do for another kernel drivers take PRIMA, we are working on solving this for next versions. :good:

Nice ROM buy I hope you stick with floating notifications then halo!!! Halo does not have very good security!!!!
Not my quote
Quoted by Synergye
Unfortunately Halo is a security risk right now due to making tapjacking attacks even easier. This is from how it handles overlay support. When I get a chance I'll look into another way to implement it.
Edit (hint): If I was a malicious person, I would definitely take advantage of it as soon as possible with all these distros merging in something they don't understand.

No, it's not - it's the law, and if you don't want to follow the GPL you're taking a dump in the bowl of every other dev that has come before you. Thread will not be deleted.

In short Omnirom is still in an early stage and much like AOSP, but with a few nice additions already (like performance tab and some customization features.

At the moment it's just AOSP, but over time more features will be added.
But it would be good to see more info in the OP.
Sadly the multi-window commit is not included in this build.

New built up.
i would like to know if you simple build with adding all available sources/features/fixes, or if you pick just some things? for example is there theme engine already in omnirom? hm i must say others are right, would be nice to have some more informations what you push inside your rom, what not and so on...
My built is pure Omni (except for root that I added). I also added multi window now (it is buggy because it is not finished yet).
If you want to know more about omnirom i suggest you google it. Or look at there github.
This should be safe to "dirty" flash over tilal's Omni build right? No data wipe needed? Hopefully?

For people that don't understand what OmniROM is, go to the OmniROM forums right here on XDA. You can get all your questions answered there. In a nutshell, OmniROM is a community "XDA" ROM with developers like Dees_Troy, xplodwild, and Chainfire as the main founders. It's totally open-source, open to feature requests, nightlies are stable, etc.
Essentially it's just a really awesome AOSP-based ROM with some cool features (detailed in the forums and on the website) and a very open mindset.

I really love those small shortcuts in recent apps at the top right. They are there in PAC-man 4.3 too. First time i saw them in PAC 4.3, didn't know they were in 4.2.2 too. Innovative use of free space in recent apps. Whoever thought about it and made these shortcuts available, kudos!

I have added doubletap to wake and USB fast charge to the settings menu and 4g lte support.
QuickBoot can be enabled in development settings to enable the phone to power up/down in around 1-2 seconds.
I am still adding features and will update this post as things are added. all changes I have made can be viewed HERE

Use PA latest gapps (the full package) to get ART working.
If you are not using art I would recommend using the latest gapps from the cm wiki.
Everything works as it should.
Changelog can be found Here
And recent changes I have made can be found here.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've made a few changes to the device trees and to allow them to build I have posted my source complete with a local manifest for thos who would like to build ROM for themselves.
You can view my work by clicking here.
If you would like to build this ROM just run the following comand to import my local manifest (after you have set up the build environment and performed a repo init ofcoarse).
You can fin a guide for your device Here
Code:
wget -O ~/android/system/.repo/local_manifests/bruce2728_manifest.xml https://raw.github.com/bruce2728/local_manifest/kitkat-mr0/bruce2728_manifest.xml
Once you have done that simply run a 'repo sync' to pull in my repos.
If you use any of this to make your own ROM please let me know and give me a mention in your thread.
Donations are always welcome but in no way required.
If you would like to donate please follow this link. Thank you.

No idea, I can't even get 3g where I live so I can't test it myself.
I haven't added anything that would make it work.

The only two apps not working here are whatsapp and Titanium - (just can't restore anything).
Other than that, everything including LTE are working.

You could try restoring apps before switching to ART.
And thanks for the info, I missed that one.
Which gapps do we use? Odexed gapps?

For some reason, my Titanium is not working on CM11 at all (on all the CM11 I tried); I am guessing it's something else from my end causing the problem.
FYI - I always clean install for diff roms.
The ART is faster on paper (on my Quadrant score), but the phone speed/smoothness is very much the same between ART and Dalvik).
