[Q] HBOOT update - HTC Sensation XL

Trying to update my HBOOT from 1.25 to 1.28 using this articale. After following to the letter and updating, I've found that for some odd reason my HBOOT version is 6.25.4445 and not 1.28 as expected. What did I miss? The only reason I'm updating is to flash [RunnyCM][Cyanogenmod10.1(M3)][v1.4.0][Linaro]

[Q] It´s possible downgrade hboot with flashing stock RUU?

Hy, it´s possible downgrade hboot from 1.54 on 1.44 or older with flashing stock RUU - RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13.3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed.exe. My HTC One is on 1.54 hboot unlocked rooted but S-on and it´s my problem because I need flashing some things that needs S-off.
Not possible if s-on with hboot 1.54. To downgrade you need to be s-off! If you try running the RUU in your phones present state, the RUU will fail to install, due to the hboot being a higher version presently to the one you are trying to install.
Hope that makes sense?

Short answer: nope. Basically what spikeydoo2006 said. Once you're on hboot v1.54, you can never go back.

[Q] how to unroot without updating H-BOOT and relocking?

I am currently running 4.06.651.4 with baseband 1.00.20.0315 and Hboot 1.44.
as I undertand, the only way to remove root on Kitkat is to flash a RUU which unfortunately also comes with the updated Hboot 1.56
I do not want to update my Hboot to 1.56.
is there anyway I can unroot the phone?

If you're S-OFF you should be able to run an older RUU
Technically if you want to remove root, you can just delete the su and busybox binaries from the /system partition.

can't flash stock ruu

hi to all! i got some problem here and i need some help please. few days a go i flashed a kernel who delete my camera.app. i am on stock rom with , s-off, cid 11111111, hboot 1.57,stock recovery, relocked and RUU M7 UL K44 SENSE55 MR HTC Europe 4.19.401.9 R Radio 4A.23.3263.28 10.38r.1157.04L Release 353069 Signed 2-1. now i try to flash the same ruu but i got error: htc_fastboot.exe has stopped working. i belive i got problems because i got hboot 1.57. i tried to downgrade hboot but with no succes, probably because i try to downgrade after i relocked the phone, but i am not very sure if that its the order that i followed. i am thinking to unlock bootloader but i am afraid not to brick the phone after reset. any ideea? what should i do. it seems very strange to me that the update utility it doesent recognizes from what image its doing the update. thank you very much!

Did you apply the Sense 6 OTA to your phone? If you did, then the hboot is a higher number than the RUU you are trying to re-install. The same thing happen to me and I had to install a lower hboot. Check @nkk71 SuperGUIDE to returning 100% back to stock for instructions on how to do install a lower hboot.
