Hi,
You've missed some steps or you were in long holidays?
SGS1 is already on JVT 2.3.5
There's no problems at all and it works as it should be.
Have a look at DEV threads, there's many good roms and kernels.

oh 2.3.5
my bad
thanks for the info
I don't recommend samsung stock ginger roms. Samsung doesn't care about correcting serious bugs so i'm not using them. Worse for me is the one that makes the phone use battery after charging to 100% even with the power cord plugged in, which, by the way, isn't corrected as you can check here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134741&page=29
That was a dealbreaker to me. Went froyo with a darky kernel until cyanogen 7.1 stable showed up. Also, i haven't been keeping up with custom samsung based roms, but at the time none were addressing this bug as well.
Been using cyano since it was released and i definitely recommend it. v2.3.7, phone's fast and no charging bug (didn't come across any other bug as well), decent battery (to me that means easily a day, i never got anymore than that ever with any rom with my usage) and tons of cool customization (my favs are the ability to customize your status bar with whatever buttons you want, profiles, DSP manager and, of course voodoo sound)
Only quirk i have are LED notifications not working properly with sms's (using handcent) for some reason. They do for everything else though. I'll live.
I did see several people saying otherwise about cyanogen, so take this with a grain of salt. I may be just a lucky guy but i'm yet to experience any problems.

thank you for your input
i dont know why samsung is ignoring the sgs1 while the sgs2 is awesome because of how samsung has approached its target market ( gave free i9100s for the cm team (hacksung team) and also one of the best optimized version of android ive seen on a phone
I would not discard stock rom with a good kernel without giving it a try. I'm personnaly very happy with jvt + semaphore + some aosp mods.
As always, your milage might vary, you'll have to make your own judgement.

well as i'm not having any issues with JVT + semaphore kernel, i can only recommend this combination.
I have the best battery life ever. charged over night, disconnect at 6.30 am. using internet (~1h), mp3player (~ 2h), (display brightness low) and i'm having 66%.
i have tested roms like darky, simplicity, goa, and they havent such a good battery life.
thank you all
first i try stock jvt
after that ill play with different kernels
again thank you
There seems to be plenty of us still suffering sleep deaths on our cappies and I figured an up-to-date list of possible remedies would be nice, just in case there's been any progress in figuring out what causes the problem and how one could go about fixing it.
So far the solutions I've tried that did not work for me...
-Increased minimum clock speed
-Increased voltage of minimum clock speed
-Removed Titanium Backup
-Removed all third party apps
-Disabled deep idle
-Removed/didn't use task killers
-Tried various ICS & JB ROMs
-Tried various ICS and JB kernels, including baked-in versions
-Tried i9000 bootloaders
These are pretty much all the details I have so far on these SoDs, hopefully they add up to a possible cause or explanation...
-SoDs happen anywhere from 1-2 times an hour to 1-2 times a day and only when screen is locked/phone is idle
-Having GrooveIP or Skype running doesn't prevent SoDs, but Pandora Radio running seems to prevent it
-Sometimes on a fresh ROM install I can go about 24-36 hours before the first sleep death, but after that they occur normally
-If I unlock the screen every few minutes it seems to stay on. If I let it sit anywhere from 15-30 minutes or longer then it will usually shut off.
-The only time I can get this phone to not suffer an SoD is on stock software(GB KK4). Not sure what this means, but it is aggravating because I would like to have better software.
What remedies have you tried, and what worked/didn't work for you?

My sleep-deaths are random, almost always occur over night while I'm asleep, can sometimes happen within seconds or minutes after locking the screen. Leaving apps running also doesn't stop the problem(GrooveIP is always running, Skype is running most of the time).
The only thing that stops sleep deaths on my phone is leaving it plugged in.

The first thing I'd try after disabling deep idle is to change kernel. Also, usually sleep deaths happen even when plugged so yours is kinda special lol.

I've used all sorts of different kernels and ROMs, get SoDs with everything. Some might result in a day or maybe three days of no sleep deaths, but they eventually start right back up without any sort of a "trigger" to cause it...like changing a certain setting or installing a certain app.
I was hoping someone would have determined the actual cause by now but it seems it's still an unknown factor causing it.

SoD doesn't happen much with JB, it's usually due to deep idle or bad kernel user config (not saying this is the case here).
Have you tried flashing back to stock KK4 and do a clean flash of whichever ROM you want to use?
If you could narrow down what causes it or get some sort of logcat of when it happens, that would probably help. Although, flashing back to stock still seems like the best bet.
Also, you're running on a nightly build (as per your signature). Ever concidered using a daily (stable) ROM?

I've wiped back to stock numerous times and have used many different stable ICS/JB kernels and ROMs. I've tweaked almost every kernel setting possible, tried all sorts of different overclocks, tried deep idle on and off, etc.
The only time I never had SoDs is when the phone was originally stock. Ever since the first time I rooted and ROM'd it I've been getting sleep deaths. I have not tried actually using stock software again to see if the SoDs go away mainly because I don't want stock software.

That's very unusual. If I were you I'd still try to use stock for testing purpose. Oh and I'm sure you already tried this but don't OC/UV.
If you don't get SoD on stock, try flashing something else that people haven't reported SoD on (like AoCP on stock kernel). Which makes me wonder, have you used a JB rom with it's stock kernel (CM10/AoKP)?

Most ROMs I've tried I kept the stock kernel. I'm also on the stock kernel for CM10 at the moment.
I have tried two different AOSP ROMs with their stock kernels and had SoDs on those as well.
I have also tried no OC with at least three different kernels/ROMs.

I'm really running outta ideas here.. This doesn't seem normal. Only other thing I can really think of is either that it's coming from a app or it's a hardware problem (maybe battery but somehow doubt it).
So yeah, only thing I could suggest other than stock KK4 and AoCP is to clean flash without restoring your apps (Gapps are fine of course) and use stock kernel.. After that, I'm all outta ideas.
You got some testing to do, I'll be looking forward to the results.

The only apps that have been consecutive across all my different software installations have been...
-Gapps
-Gmail
-Facebook
-Pandora
-GrooveIP
-Heywire
-Skype(Only been using this for a couple of weeks so I can probably rule it out)
I could try a fresh CM10 nightly and only run gapps. Maybe wait a few days and then install GrooveIP, wait a few days and then install Skype, etc until I can maybe get an app install to trigger the SoDs.
You mentioned logcats...what are those? Is this some sort of debug log? If so, do you think it could actually pick up any events leading up to an SoD or even log the SoD itself? I'd imagine if that was possible someone would have posted the results by now.

A Logcat is simply a log of everything your phone does (Logcat Extreme is a good app for it). You'd have to set it to run in background until a SoD happen and then you'd see w/e your phone did before the SoD happened. Could help narrow down the problem. The only thing I'm not sure is if it will save the log before your phone shuts down but that could be something to look into. If not, then it won't be any help eh.

Booted phone up just now after an SoD and the only log available is the one it just started. So if it logged anything before it looks like it didn't save it. Crap.
One-clicked back to stock GB KK4 and after a few hours I have yet to get a sleep death so far, but overnight idling will be the final test for that. That's with the following installed...
-GoLauncherEX
-Skype
-Gmail
-Facebook
-Opera
-GrooveIP
-Heywire
While installing all my apps I realized that the GrooveIP installation I was using was an apk I got ages ago, one that I don't think has been automatically updating. I thought maybe that could be the issue so I went with a fresh install from the market.
If it turns out that SoDs only appear when rooted/ROM'd then I'll probably toss this phone once I find a replacement because I can't be without my CM10 and devil kernel. I really wish someone could figure out the cause and a possible solution for this.

CM10 features can be found in other ROMs. As for Devil, it could be the problem. Hopefully KK4 will be fine, at least we'll have a start point to work from. If you get SoD on it, get rid of GrooveIP and heywire. We'll then know if it's app related.

Still no SoD and that's with/without Skype running. GrooveIP boots with phone.
If it won't SoD on stock software then I wonder what the problem could be? It's SoD'd with every kernel and ROM I've ever tried.
Sorry for the extreme noob moment here, how do I tell if my device went into SoD? Is it when it gets so extremely slow that even the power button seems to have no effect?
I get that a lot when I've been browsing for a few minutes (even on stock browser) or when playing some games.

SoD means, while idle, that it randomly turns itself off. It was a defect in X amount of phones produced up to a certain IMEI number, and ATT/Samsung at one point offered an exchange program so people can turn theirs in for a model that didn't have the issue.
What you're suffering from is low memory. You probably have apps running in the background that are utilizing X amount of RAM, and your browsing/gaming is eating up the rest which slows down the phone. Some ways to fix this...
-Use a kernel that allows you to increase maximum memory. I think Devil kernel allows up to 396mb with no downsides, and 413mb at the cost of something that has to do with playing a certain video resolution IIRC.
-Use a task killer. This lets you kill running tasks except for those you choose to "lock." Some advise against using a task killer, but honestly I've yet to have a problem with any of them. My favorite is the one you can get for GOLauncherEX.
-Use Titanium Backup to delete(or freeze if you buy the pro version) apps that you don't use that you can safely remove, specifically items that constantly run in the background eating up your RAM.
-Use a different ROM. There's plenty of ROMs out there including slim/aosp/etc releases that are faster and arguably better-performing.
I believe you tried this already but using the I9000 bootloaders seems to have fixed the SoD issue for many people on JB.
I'm not sure if that would change anything, but try flashing Mosaic.

I don't think I've tried the i9000 bootloaders. Any time I flash back to stock I use the link in my sig(one-click w/ bootloaders) and those are the GB version. My phone still hasn't SoD'd on stock software/GB bootloaders so I wouldn't think those bootloaders are the problem, but on the other hand I suppose it's possible that a third party kernel/rom clash with them on my phone.
Are there any downsides to using the i9000 bootloaders? Would you happen to have a link to this mosaic thing you mentioned?
ETA: If it matters any, when I got the phone I believe it was on GB KK4 and was never modded before. When I got it I used the easy-root to corn 7.0a method and first ran Legend5 ICS ROM. That was the first time I started suffering sleep deaths. Ever since then I have used the one-click back to stock w/ GB bootloaders before using any other kernel or rom.
I've used several different kernels/cwm versions to obtain root, at least 6 different ROMs, several different versions of gapps, and numerous other kernels after ROM installation. I've also used the baked-in kernel of each ROM for at least several days before upgrading to something like Devil or Sema. SoDs on everything, both ICS and JB.
I have also tried one-clicking back to stock with what I believe were "up-to-date" GB bootloaders. This was posted by another member that did it and fixed his SoD problem. It didn't produce any sort of a change for me.
I have not tried checking for SoDs on just a root(without ROM). I suppose if I did this I could figure out if it's the root or the ROM that is triggering the sleep deaths, but even if I did get any results from that I'm still not sure how to figure out exactly what's causing the problem since this event apparently can't be logged.

Mosaic is a ROM that was made by The Family; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061203
It is I9000 based so I'm thinking you won't get any SoD on it. Thing is that it's not JB based. Devs aren't porting from I9000 anymore so you won't find a I9000 ported JB ROM. (Hoping I'm not wrong on this lol)
And yeah, many users reported that flashing the I9000 bootloaders with a JB ROM fixed their SoD problem. Back in GB, it wasn't suggested to have I9000 bootloaders and run a I897 ROM (music player wouldn't work and some other little things) but it seems fine now.
EDIT: I highly doubt root is the problem.
Just two words... Absolutely Fantastic!
Afer being a CyanogenMod user for many months, the only usable version for me was 10.1.3 RC2. After trying all existing versions including latest CM11 nightly. All had some issue or another.
Then I tried different modified stock ROMS (including Rizal Lovins's modified JB4.3 leaked version -which is close to being one of the best ROMS out there), but none have the fluidity of a CM based rom.
Last night I gave a try to CyanFox, after all, the Tsubasa version was requested by myself. And they did deliver.
What an amazing Rom, love how fast it is and how 98% of the apps I use on a daily basis work perfectly.
I have only found a few issues, but I can live with them.
- Battery life is not as good as with stock rom, but it ain't that bad either
- Camera doesn't let me change location of photos, no option to select external SD card.
Anyway I automatically send all photos to Dropbox, so it doesn't bother me that much.
Having said all this, I strongly recommend everyone to give the rom a try.
You can find the links here...
http://www.cyanfox-rom.com/
I do recommend using Mr Rizal Lovins Z1 keyboard ports, they are a lot better than AOSP stock keyboard

Good luck
And I thank all you amazing creators for the excellent work you are doing, my wife doesn't understand how I can fiddle for hours with my phone, but I'm sure you do, and I have to thank you for the great effort you guys put into all this!

Its based on CM11, but with more 'extras', and so far its working really well.
I got from play store a Z1 theme for Cyanogen, plus Rizal Loving Z1 keyboard and it just works as it should. No FC's yet at all (and strangely it is based on a nightly version of CM11.
I also tried LG Cybershot camera that was ported from Rizal Lovins (fantastic work in all he does). But the CM stock camera works really well and fast. So I'm happy with the stock one.
Best anyone can do is try for themselves. After all, we all have different opinions and views of what we need on a phone.

Guys, don't forget you'll need the Gaps from CyanFox for it to work properly.

I haven't got any random reboots yet... so it is a bit more stable.
Battery drain is high, but last night when I woke up only went down 3.4% per hour, according to Better battery stats:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
So when not in use, its not that bad... with stock I would get in sleep mode between 1.5% - 2% per hour.
But the rom is faster and more configurable than stock.

Ahahah not just those
Camera is flickering (green line) and poor quality;
BT is slow and if you try to use BT headphone and listen to the music the quality is poor;
BT Mic quality is terrible;
ART is not working properly (cause FC and reboot);
NO EXTERNAL SD.
IMHO it's not ready to be a daily use ROM

I haven't had any issues with BT, quality seems good to me, been using it in the car and with PowerAmp and sounds just as any other...
But I just had my first Blue Screen... for no reason really, so it isn't as stable as I thought.
Seems there are still issues... I apologize for being so eager to tell everyone how well it goes.
And yes, battery drain is huge... just like CM11 nightly. After all it is based on it.
I will use it a few more days and keep hoping for a Stable, robust and reliable ROM.
when i installed the rom it installed and when i first time used thje rom all going preety okay but when i turn of the screen the display gone blue and restared just like rizal lovins 4.4.2 any idea whats the problem is
Just found out that on 4.4 the WiFi cost more battery drain than 3G. It doesn't let the phone be into deep sleep. So when I turn it off, the battery drain status is better.

You can't flash KK ROM on jellybean ROM directly through cwm, to solve this :
Just flash this ROMs kernel with fastboot, then reboot to recovery and do a clean install.
The rom sure is fast, no bsod or random reboot for 16 hours usage.. The battery usage i think its normal if u think it drain too much revert the brightness to manualy adjust.. For who cant detect the external card.. U can install the CM 10.2 first then install this CF (wipe cache and data only) dont ever wipe system it'll make ext card can't read by ROM

Hi everyone,
Has anyone tried out this latest Nightly from Cyan-fox?? 29-January2014
http://cyanfox-rom.com/downloads/?folder=tsubasa/
Was hoping some brave pirate could give it a try... I am exhausted of trying different nightlies (CM, AOKP, PAC, etc...) and having to revert back to the most stable rom for me (CM 10.1.3 RC2) while waiting for the final release of the OFFICIAL XPERIA V 4.3!!
Which for some reason, Sony keeps delaying eternally.
Thanks in advance!!
Thank you for the sharing. I will still waiting for the more stabel version. Currently im happy with Xperia Revelation rom
What are bug?
Hello,
recently my phone P880 ceases to function correctly. For example the problem with the gsm signal and 3G, someone still say me that I am inaccessible and he can not call me. When I try to call someone, the phone say SIM card disconnect, the signal is out and then after seconds again say reading sim card and then everything looks normal (this happen mostly when data are enabled, but sometimes also on wifi). Then in 70% calls (does not depend if incoming or outcoming) the mic does not work at all. I can hear anyone on the other side but he cannot hear me. When I hang up and call back everything works fine. And the last but not least the phone is really slow, sometimes I have to kill all apps if I want do something (write message, read email) or wait until the phone unfreeze (very annoying when I want to recieve call and I have to wait aprox 10-15 sec till the screen light up). In the phone there is almost nothing installed (just few apps which I really use), but still the RAM is always full at >80%.
I am curently running on stock 4.1.2 and decide to try something more lightweight to save battery and ram, but I have absolutely no idea which ROM is currently stable and working, so if you can recommend me some (I would prefer something on 4.4.x but it does not matter).
Thanks to everyone for response
Hello,
First Question: Which Baseband-Version is installed?
I can say that 4.4 is not as good as Stock.
Root, install CWM (Dont know if you had to open bootloader when only installing kernel and script?), install Titanium Backup or similar and remove the Bloatware! Then Install Iodak v9.5 and maybe Tegra4Binary and Phone is quick.

Good Luck!
I am back on 4.1 stock just to test some things and after 10 hours on it i cant wait to get back to 4.4.x roms...I cant see any advantages of stock rom except visual ones (lg gui).U should write why is for you stock better i am curious.

Thank you for reply,
For the radio I include screenshot. The bootloader is unlocked, I did it about a 3/4 year ago but since this time I did not make any SW changes so now I am totally lost in the number of roms which are avable nowadays (last I was to change the system there was only bugged and not stable version).
E: For the GUI, it is not bad but when the homescreen (launcher) have to reboot everytime when I close (jump out) some apps there is something wrong.
E2: And also sometimes the light sensor does not work (I can move with the brigthness slider but nothing happen,I have to uncheck the automatic setting then I can change the brightness)
Did you try fleahing stock again via lg flesh tool ? Or.restoring backup if u have it ?

Because of the high battery drainage on use at CM. Stock has about 6 hours screen on.
There are quiet nice functions, like Quickmemo that i dont want to miss. (And better App compatibility sometimes... see "Whatsapp SIM")
The Performance is better than CM11 if you remove bloatware and flash Iodak Kernel/T4-Binary. Then gaming is nice too.
+ FM-Radio
I know that a phone with the newest security updates is nice, but when i flash CM i flash back in the next 1-3 days ...
But you can think otherwise over this!

If u manage to get 6 hours on screen time then u have 7000 mAh battery or you have some other phone since no one managed to get more then 4+ hours on this phone especialy on stock so this thing that you said is completly nonsence. There are apps that can replace quickmemo app on custom roms, iodak kernel is NOT working properly on stock rom (that is know fact evey iodak sayed it himself u can read it on iodak kernel thread) and for the last option u can use Spirit FM which is working great on CM-Liquid -Slim and all others custom roms.
P.S.Show us some proof for that 6 hours on screen time or your coment will be probably deleted by moderators since it is as i sad completly nonsence.
Will add Screenshot ASAP.
PS: Having no issues with Iodak 9.5 ... but 8 should work for everyone.
And here we go again. I want to call, signal lost, dial has been suspended, than I've got black screen with message "Reorganization of internal processes. Try it later". There is probably some problem with the firmware or something like that, I don't think it is HW problem. I will try some alternate ROM then I will write result.
EDIT: I try to find if someone have same problem and I found it on LG Optimus 3D:
Problems on Rogers Canada too. Both Rogers and LG deny any knoledge of the exsistance of this issue. I updated my phone in the middle of February, seemed ok for a week or so, then ghost calls and missed texts started happening. I have restored it and even reinstalled the firmware fresh a few times and the problem just keeps getting worse, in addition, I now have random loss of data connection, "reorganizing internal process" for 2-3 minutes wen I try to make an outgoing call and occasionaly my phone will ring and ring indeffenately when I miss a call even though I have voice mail, and I must restart my phone to stop the ringing. Thank you for running this story as I want everyone on earth to know I will never buy any LG product again due to there "deny the problem" approch to customer support, and I hope no one else does either. BTW, anyone want to buy a used LG Phone, TV, DVD Player, Sterio or Washer and Dryer? Next time I buy a different brand period.

I am on the same carrier as CaptianJack, same exact issues. Called "Carlos" at LG Support, said ICS 4 was due in 2nd or 3rd quarter. He then said possibly July.
My issues on 2.3.5
- Occasional missed text messages
- occasional missed calls
- long "reorganizing internal process" delays, can't make calls until it finishes.
- having to restart phone when phone when in 2G, loses signal then fails to regain 4G in known good area unless reboot
- longer camera loading times than previous 2.2
- choppy 3D video recordings

Stock kernel is good at keeping the phone cool, actually that's the only thing it is good at.Stock ROM + iodak kernel burns your phone, for real.Try it on CM11 and stock ROM, stock ROM heats it up a lot more.
Stock ROM is only good if you don't know how to customize a ROM properly.CM11 gives you the ability to have the control over your phone. In stock you can just change kernel, remove a few apps and just keep going on.
If you think 4.4 is worse, it's only cause you have no idea how to customize a ROM.
"The Performance is better than CM11 if you remove bloatware and flash Iodak Kernel/T4-Binary. Then gaming is nice too."
That's totally a lie.CM11 has less system requirements afterall. And LG is famous for making crap ROMs.For how many minutes have you used CM11? 1 or 2?

Remove bloatwares, services, whatever you want but stock ROM is full of bugs that you can face even from the first day.
If you want a phone with less bugs, install CM11.You don't expect us to fix an old ROM which is full of bugs, minor or major.
What? CM11 was daily driver in official and inofficial builds...
But i know, the most are in love with Cyanogen, what do you mean with customize?

No nightly's?
Hi,
I am currently on the Liquid Smooth 20.10. go, but I am surprised that no new versions are on the go. Is it so that only a new Nightly appears if there are changes?

I must remove my battery for restart.
Somebody have this same problem ?

cannot install liquidsmooth rom
i'm still new in installing roms. i was able to install rxtreme rom, i would like to try the LS rom. i downloaded the latest nightly rom, and it prompted installation aborted.
i compared the rxtreme rom that i downloaded, it was 1.2gb. but for the LS, it was just over 200mb. i hope someone here can provide me detailed instructions on how to install Liquidsmooth rom on my s3 i9305.
systemui crashes
Hi guys,i just installed the rom and after the reboot i enter the pin code and that message about systemui pops up every 3 seconds.
EDIT:SO i installed the previus version and everything seems fine exept some random camera issues and the notifications
swipe to left functions most of the times doesnt work or maybe it has to do with spesific apps. Can i upgrade to the latest nightly version without doing a hard reset?

Read the instructions at the beginning of this thread. It's all there.
It is a little different to rxtreme.
You will need to download the ROM and GApps. I'd download Milestone version - read earlier posts for location.
Go to recovery, flash the ROM then GApps.
Hope all goes well.

Review of the liquid smooth i9305 ROM 4.4.4
I've been using this ROM for the last four months and my verdict is...
...it's ****. S. H. I. T.
So bad that I've gone back to the stock ROM. Maybe it's because the i9305 is a relatively unknown phone (compared to the i9300). Nevertheless it's evident here that little effort has gone into research and testing of this ROM. Here are all the issues I came across during my usage of what is the most terrible android experience I've had.
Battery life: This ROM basically chews up the battery faster than a fat kid in a candy store. Seriously sit back and watch, throughout the day, as battery percentage slips lower and lower until it knocks itself out. And then that brings me to the next problem,
The phone will not charge when the battery is completely dead (phone off): That's right the phone has to be on, before this ROM realises that it should be charging the phone.
Camera: The camera will take about 4 shots, sometimes 10, if you're lucky before it completely fails. The only way around this is by performing a soft or hard reboot. Super fun when you're at a party and when taking a group image, the camera ****s itself. Even with third party camera apps the problem persists.
Microphone: I don't know how a ROM could possibly **** up the microphone, but this ROM succeeds in doing just that. Any recording performed sounds like a 1950s CB radio. This is an experience that you force on everyone you call by having the audacity to use this ****ty ROM.
Multiple Application Incompatibilities: Several big ticket applications fail to run with LiquidCrap. For example Skype refuses to initiate and Viber will not make video calls. That leaves Google Hangouts which for some reason decides to induce a 4 second lag in every word in your conversation.
Video playblack: Wow a custom ROM that refuses to easily work with flash video. The developers solution here is to force you to use dolphin viewer to browse and run some flash mods to work. Unfortunately none of that works. And it's not just flash that refuses to run. Any HTML5 gif or video will not play. Then there are some videos where only the sound will play but nothing else. Good luck watching anything on youtube which is not accessible by the youtube app. Which surprisingly works well.
Random restarts: Oh were you typing in something important? Would be a shame if I just...restarted right now.
Screen Rotation: Lags.
So if you're 13 years old and get a kick out of changing colors in status bars; by all means get this ROM. If you actually have responsibilities and need your phone....to work. Then avoid this ROM at all costs. Hell, avoid every custom ROM for the i9305. Unless it's a slightly modified stock Samsung. This as this there's less chance that something is royally ****ed as in the case here.

Hi Guys! Im fairly new, I only flashed about 10 roms. Using this rom for 5 days now, I have a lot of problems, bugs. But I want to give it another try, because I heard very good things about this rom. so...
garbled "mosaic like" graphics on locksreens notifications only when Im moving them with my fingers
garbled notification bar icons when running tinder
strange scrolling in play/own apps during app updating - app rectangles in the listing seems to detach from the scrolling background, moving slower/faster.
various gfx glitches too fast or short to recall
camera is unusable, ugly FCs, "cant connect"s, even reboots, or phone freezed up for several seconds. using power button release seems to make it worse.
it was clean install, full wipe (FR), + cache before and after flashing. (Philz Touch)
installed:
LS-KK-MileStone-3.2-i9305.zip
Liquid_gapps.4.4.4.build.8.1.zip
I came from stock KK, it was the NEE version (I9305XXUFNL1_I9305NEEFOA1_I9305XXUFOA1_HOME). and some others before that.
Can I make an "even cleaner" install...? Can it be some things left from other roms causing these problems?
Or any advice, so it would work like on your devices?
thx in advance
ps: sorry for the previous post

Have you had any luck on sorting your problems out? I've found this ROM to be amazing.
It's fast, smooth and everything works well.
I've played with lollipop ROMs but they have issues so keep coming back. Though when aicp 5.1 is sorted, it is a decent option; very fast and smooth.
Anyway I am using TWRP 2.8.5.0 recovery and stock kernel that came with the ROM. I do a full advanced wipe them factory wipe. I also use SuperSU.
If you're still having issues you could store your files in an external SD card, totally format your internal storage and start again from scratch.
Hope that helps.

Hi! thx for the answer, but I did everything, apart from I left below. What do you mean by total format? How its done, with what app, and how the carrier/region etc related content is put back after that? I have latest philz touch, and I do dalvik+cache+full wipe before AND after each flash. Im not concerned about my files, everything is on ExtSD and cloud.
Yes the rom is much cooler than CM for the first look, but after 5 days heavy use I got serious problems just like the angry guy mentioned a few post above. after I moved in all my apps and stuff, it lost its smoothness, FCs, and hard battery drain with hot phone.
But the main thing was after I wrote my post, I realized that this rom is not maintained anymore, which is a problem for the 9305. U gotta use what is maintained, so the last day was so bad with this rom, I went back to CM immediately! Which is a dream in simplicity, speed, and battery life, and the latest only few days old!
of course Im still interested in the total format you mentioned, and in this rom, if it gets sorted out...

There are different ways to fully format your internal drive but you will need to backup any important data files to your SD card first. A full format will wipe it clean. I don't use philz these days but from memory you mount system, data etc and format them. Other options are files like those provided by Agni developer for F2FS will wipe it clean as well. As I use twrp it is different again.
I've been on this ROM for months now. It's fast, smooth, no FCs, and with decent use through the day I get 2 full days out of the battery before a recharge.
I use Greenify app, turn off fast dormancy and if there are drainage issues it's generally about finding the rogue app. Titanium backup is another must have app to backup and restore apps. It makes things so easy.
It's not maintained as you say but I don't see that being relevant; it's a well cooked 4.4.4 ROM! You can use other options such as F2FS +/- ART to tweak performance.
The only ROM I'm playing with at present is the 5.1 aicp which is super fast. Only had bug with Apex launcher my launcher of choice.
Have fun! Cheers
