Notification issue rExtreeme v10 rom & Boeffla Kernel - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

Hey Lads,
I'm under the 10 post limit so i cant post this to the Roms Dev post.
But heres the situation.
Plug headphone jack into my phone, (playing music in the car)
When i recieve a notification, what ever music i'm playing at the time is also played out of the speaker along with the Notification tone.
I'm using power amp for music play, and have turned off pause when receiving notifications.

Could you explain more about what behaviour would you expect from the situation? No music, no notification?
It seems that you have forgotten to write what you need ;p

poweramp has a setting for temporary sound focus change

[Q] Background noice when playing music

I have noticed some background noice when I play audio files in the music player.
I know from this thread that other people have the same problem but I have not been able to find a seperat thread that cover this.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=735918
The problem is easy to hear if you play music through the build in loudspeaker and then turn the volume to 0 while the music is playing. I have notice that when I pause the music the noice will continue for about 2 sec followed by a "click" and then the background noice will disapear (probaly because the device is going to some powersaving mode).
The problem remains with all the headsets I have tryed and are pressent on firmware jm7 and jm8.
Anyone noticed the same problem and more important do anyone have a solution to this problem?
unable to reproduce
i do play music from the building speaker quite a bit, as i keep testing music for my alerts anc custom alerts for each contact
Hi there,
I had this problem also... was playing with the TV out. Once I turned this off the problem disappeared. Have you tried the standard issue headphones... this might also be part of it, Samsung is using a different pin setup
that makes more sense go into settings and make sure the TV Out option is disabled, if you leave it on, it can interfere with the audio output
i recall this being discussed on another topic a while back
try unplugging the usb cable if it's connected...

[Q] A Few Quirky Issues - Serendipity ROM

Hey guys I've been having a few issues that I can't seem to find any information on. Ok on the stock ROM when you receive a call or a notification of any kind it will pause any music playing (either with the music player or pandora or what have you). But when using Assonance or Serendipity (I've had this issue with both) the music is muted but continues playing which means you miss whatever portion of the song until the call/notification tone is over. Also when I did receive a call and I had something plugged into the audio out it would allow me to hear the other person through the speakers (I use this most in my car). If anyone can help me at all with these issues I would greatly appreciate it!

[Q] Notification sounds pausing songs

It's a simple question and an annoying thing to me.
I've tried to search but didn't find anything helpful.
So, is it possible to the notification sound don't stop current playing music? Just like happen in iphone, the notification sound reduces the volume fo the playback, plays, and then the playback volume goes back to the original value, or, even just play in the same volume. The point is, to don't stop the playback.
The nearest thing that I've found was a solution through CM, and since there is no stable version of CM to note, it won't work to me.
If there is no solution I guess that I'll have to leave the notification on silent mode .

[Q] Play notification sounds through earphones

Hi,
Using ICSSGS RC 4.2, when my earphones are plugged in notifications are still played through the phone speaker, and I won't hear them since my earphones are on.
In the stock roms, the phone would pause music and play some short beeping sound. Is there any way to get this functionality?
No one's encountered this type of problem? :/
Any suggestions if there are apps or something that would be able to mimic the behaviour? (Eg set to silent but play some sound on earphones)

Notification sounds on speakerphone even when headphones plugged in

Hi I was wondering if there is a setting to prevent notification sounds from going through the speakers while earphones are plugged in.
Notifications sounds are only played through earphones if music is playing but through the speaker when no music is playing.
Thanks!

Oh yeah that is a nice feature but what is bothering me is that when music is paused or off, I still want to hear the text notification but only through my headphones. Smart Connect only seems to allow to manage connection of device events; I see that it can change sound modes and volume profiles but my minor annoyance is a little more specific. Right now, when music is paused/off I hear the text notification sound through my earphones (good) and also through the phone speaker ().
Weirdly enough, Whatsapp does what I want (headphone sound only). I've tried using the default sms app and Textra SMS and both still use the speakers in addition to headphones.
Hi
Did you find a solution/reason for this?
I have a Sony Xperia Z3 and the same thing happens to me. I have the headphones set as MH750 (which came with the phone) and I can't seem to find any other settings related to headphones and notifications on the phone.
For now setting the phone to vibrate or quiet/silence mode seems to work, or also turning the notification sound to 0. It makes a little sens for example if you are connected to Bluetooth headphones but don't wear them and your alarm clock goes off to wake you. That way you will hear it for sure.
