Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini2 with Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread). I don't like how call log appears.
If you call someone by 5 times, the name of the contact/number will appear by 5 time in the call log.The same with missed calls.I want to appears only one date. Example: To show "Contact name/phone number" (5) and when click on the contact name to show the detailed information.
Exist an application that will improve the call log in this way?
Thank you!
Maybe go dialer would be able to help you

Hi,
I cannot find the option to turn on the feature, that the name of the caller is displayed, when it is in the phonebook. Right now, only the international number is shown whe somebody calls. What do I have to configure? Thx.

No ideas ??????
WM5 onwards it is already there.
You have to feed the number for each contact as +<country code><areacode><Number>. For example +919896312345
I downloaded Phone Fusion Visual Voicemail app to my G1. Its an interactive application that displays a list of your voicemail messages which you can also organize via touchscreen, rather than having to call your voicemail number and listening to the automated operator and press buttons. As part of the registration process you must enter in your cell number (Its either your cell number or your voicemail number, I cant get it to work so I dont know for sure.)
Whenever I type in my number a notification pops up that says, "! Registration Failed. Unable to determine this devices phone number."
Now I went to my Settings/ About Phone/ Status/ My phone number...all that was listed under "my phone number" was "unknown". As of right now I dont see an option to edit this status. If anyone has any suggestions or a way to fix this dilemma so I can continue to have fun with my beloved G1 it would be greatly appreciated. Please Help!
The only real information ive heard was: "if your on "flexpay" forwarding is disabled therefore you cant use any of the visual voicemail apps on the market besides the app by t-mobile"
use the official tmo visual voicemail app. its better and it actually works. u just need to have the android data plan and ur good
how can i hide/show my phonenumber on outgoing calls on the Galaxy S running 2.1 update 1 out of the box?? Even in settings/about/status_Phonenumber it says "Unknown".. (No way the set it either) But when i call with my SGS to my prepaidcard_oldphone it shows the phonenumber used by my SGS...
Hopefully Samsung corrects this or at least some Dev's who can solve this might look in to this???? please???

thanks, i totally missed that.. but still in the about/status the phonenumber is "Unknown".. like the phone doesn't read the SIM-phonenumber and store/show it in the about section..
neither does mine, even when it was new and stock firmware
so it is a common thing.. not so nice for an 500€-phone...

Isn't this a carrier setting? For Telus here in Canada, I have to have them enable my outbound call display for my number to be visible to people I am calling.
Or are you talking about the call logs in your phone?
I recently switched to AOSP GBMod and have noticed something odd. When I'm using Google Voice and I select to call someone who has left a message who is not a contact of mine the call states "call lost" and doesn't go through. I believe that it's from the +1 added prior to the number that is causing this, because when I put the number in without the +1 the call goes through. Any ideas why this is? The same happens when I Google Voice Search a number a +1 is added to the number and the call doesn't go through, i.e. the number shows up as +1-920-933-5944. When I put 920-933-5944 the call goes through. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi gyus,
is there a solution to this? The built-in call recorder on Samsung Galaxy S23 saves the files with a "Call recording_" prefix. This makes it completely unuseable in portrait mode as all you can see on the screen is a list that reads "Call recording .... Timestamp", for example:
Call recording.....123757.m4a
Call recording.....133757.m4a
Call recording.....143757.m4a
Call recording.....153757.m4a
The actually important information like name and number of the call partner is not visibile due to the lack of space. You have to rotate the screen every time in order to see a more meaningfull list. The same feature is solved much better in Huawei phones where the file name starts with the name of your call partner and then always continues with the phone number, date and timestamp.
So is there anything that I can do about it to at least get rid of the "Call recording_" filename prefix?
Thanks in advance!
Same here.....
