So something with revone has messed up my getvar all and won't let me ruu.
I've tried ruu from fastboot and using the setup.exe.
I keep getting this error...
'FAILED (remote: 24 parsing android-info fail)'
So since I can't ruu and ubuntu won't recognize my phone at all (moonshine out of the picture) my question is..
Where can I find an eng hboot that will work with the revone s-off method?
I want to be able to flash splash screens and be able to remove red development text. Then eventually supercid.
Any help is appreciated!

Really? I read a bunch of places that you can't flash a splash screen with stock hboot.
Revone also broke hot reboot for me.

I've heard an ruu fixes hot reboot.
To flash other images with ship hboot, simply zip up with an android info text document, and then run as an ruu from fast boot.
Fastboot oem rebootRUU
Fastboot flash zip zipname.zip

I worked with one of the moonshine guys for a couple hours we could not get my phone to be recognized in ubuntu.

Yea we also could not get my phone to ruu. We think it has something to do with the revone method changing something.
We think it's my getvar all. But the android-info is hidden in the ruu so I wouldn't be able to figure out what had been changed to make it not work.

So I ended up getting moonshine to work on Windows. Supercid worked. I also flashed a splash screen.
All without any errors.

I did. It should basically skip the s-off part and flash the moonshine hboot. Worked flawlessly.

PLEASE READ: This will only work on a stock, signed S-OFF HBOOT. Do not try this on a patched or ENG HBOOT or the result will be a permanent hard brick.
1. Boot into fastboot on your device
2. Open a terminal or command prompt and navigate to where your fastboot binary is.
3. Type the following commands:
Code:
fastboot devices
Ensure your device is listed
_________________________________
Code:
fastboot oem readsecureflag
The output should read something like: secure_flag: 0
_________________________________
Code:
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3

Last:
Code:
fastboot reboot bootloader
Verify that your device is now S-ON

No that will not work, you will have to run the S-Off tool again to regain it.

Just clarifying something, so this will or will NOT work for the ics hboot posted on the s-off site by juopunutbear?

It will, just as long as you chose the non-patched hboot without fastboot commands.
Just had to use this method.
Used the PH39IMG to get back to a stock hboot and ran the commands. Confirmed that it does display locked in hboot.
Unlocked, reflashed recovery.. and I am good to go s-on

So can I do OPTION ONE and download the correct RUU and do the same or does the PH39IMG.zip have something the RUU does not ?

So for all intents and purposes, it will look like it was never HTC Unlocked then? My g/f has a Vivid, and she's very picky about going to the darkside of rooting, because she doesn't want her warranty voided. If it can look like it's been returned to stock, that would help.
I cant get it to say ***LOCKED*** I locked hboot, ran GB RUU, ran ICS RUU, followed your steps, fastboot oem readsecureflag
Output is : secure_flag: 3
***RELOCKED***

I also have a true S-OFF IncS (via XTC clip), but with HBOOT 2.0x, I still had to relock the bootloader if I wanted to run an official RUU despite having S-OFF. S-OFF did allow me to flash any RUU without the need for a goldcard, but if I didn't relock the bootloader, the RUU would throw a 155 error, so I am speaking from personal experience.

Either unlock it or run the RUU. A locked bootloader will check for discrepancies between what is supposed to be written and what is written.

Accidentally flashed international version of a rom. Now i can get into recovery and fastboot, but can't get a rom to run properly. It'll start and go to a black screen with the status bar showing. Is there a 3.04 RUU out? I already took the update and have no idea how to get my phone going again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You're ok... All you have to do is run the old RUU In fastboot. OMJ has the thread laying around here somewhere. It's the 1.29.651.10 RUU. It's saved my ass many times

You can flash the new firmware with fastboot. Note it needs to be the full firmware, not the one that says s-off only. You are s-on so you can only flash unmodified firmwares. You may need to reflash the recovery too
Here's a link for the full firmware
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23159073880933344
make sure your TWRP is @ 2.6.3
rename to firmware.zip, flash from bootloader
Fastboot oem rebootRUU
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
Fastboot reboot

Hey all I'm new to the HTC one and am a bit confused. I just got this thing yesterday and have unlocked the bootloader(HTC Dev), rooted it(SuperSU), and tried to S-off but it ended at this"must sanitize, skunky rum is nasty
hold please..............................................
[TTTT********************************************************]" so I'm not sure if it completed fine? Oh well. My question is...Can I upgrade from stock(4.1.2 to a ROM like ViperOne(4.3)? With no problems? I used to build SlimRoms for the Samsung Infuse and I know we couldn't just jump up builds like that. We had to go one android version at a time. Is this the case with the HTC one? Any help would be appreciated Thanks guys
Which hboot do you have? (you can check it in bootloader longpressing power and vol- when the phone is off).
If you have 1.44 hboot, i advice you to use the revone tool!
I believe I do have 1.44. I tried running sujo(?) Again and this time my phone rebooted to bootloader then to my phone's main screen and I had no data and couldn't unlock my phone. It said adb failed to load or something like that and "YOU fix it.." so I rebooted it and it's fine now..maybe dumb question how do I find out if I'm s-off or on? Because it may have worked..

Reboot into bootloader (adb reboot bootloader or longpress power and vol- when the phone is powered off).
At the top you will see a line with the S-ON or S-OFF Text.

So, I tried rumrunner again and this time it worked perfect. Now my device says S-OFF!
Now, Why does the OTA update not appear for me? Is it because my bootloader is unlocked? If so what's the safest process to go from 4.1.2 to 4.3? I'd like to update to the ViperOne ROM. Thanks for any help guys I really appreciate it.

The OTA depends about your cid.
However, you can upgrade to the ViperOne, just flash it in recovery.
p.s. I advice to flash the 3.62 firmware, so you will have a phone like the stock but with the Viper
