After my kindle updated to 7.4.3 no background on any themes for go launcher ex show up anymore. It just shows a black screen. All the icons work like normal and change with the themes but no background. I've restored to factory settings rooted again, and reinstalled everything and still have black screen as a background. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I have the same problem ! No solutions ?
Look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2295750
It's a known problem. I ended up installing 2nd bootloader & TWRP, then put Kinology on it.

Edit: Figured it out. It's called PinyinIME.apk and it appears it's just the Chinese keyboard. I uninstalled it then flashed CM6 again and it's back, so it's just a part of the ROM.
Hey guys,
I've been running the 8/20 nightly of CM6 and I just noticed an odd application on my phone that I never installed before. Titanium backup says it's a system app so I assume it installed with the ROM. The title of the app is in Chinese or Japanese (I don't speak either) and the version says 2.2. The icon is a blue ball with a little red and yellow ball. It also appears to have a lot of permissions.
Anyone else have this app on their phone? For me it's at the bottom of All Applications under the Manage Applications setting. Anyone know anything about it? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Go to settings -> applications -> manage applications and see if its in the downloaded filter.
Nope it's not in the downloaded section.

What DPI you are on ?
reply
Change your DPI to 320..
If you wanna keep using custom DPI, install a modded market using LCD density changer PRO..
no changes.
changed it back to 320 using FONT CHANGER.
previously was on 300
still the same prob

heyho. some days ago i flashed a moded xperia home from this forum, it was one of this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2535413
well.. i cant explain why, but after the flashing the launcher was gone. i still have my go launcher
to get the launcher back, i installed it via an apk from this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2504275
first, it works fine. i installed a xposed module to edit the snap-to-grid size and rebooted my phone, after this i was able to mod it. everything was fine until the next reboot -> my launcher was reseted. not the mods, like the s-t-g size. but all my "custom" widgets and icons were gone and was replaced by the defaults. that happens now after every reboot, no matter what i do.
can anyone help me to find a solution for this problem, without reflashing my XZ1, thats running stock 4.3 deadexd and rooted with recovery?
thx for the help
Hi Guys,
Cannot find an answer anywhere else so seeing if someone here has any tips.
I've downloaded some new themes in the themes app before, I can change between the themes no problem.
but when I find new themes in the 'themes' app and click on download it shows 'downloading' for about 1/2 second and back to 'download' for you to click again... this happens on all themes, cannot download any new ones at all.
I have stock launcher, never had any other launchers installed. I went into 'apps' in settings and cleared data/cache for the 'themes' app but this didn't help. I also made sure I have space on device, which I have plenty of.
Any tips would be appreciated.
I use the phone for work thus don't really want to wipe it clean as would have to set up work items again... no other problems with device at all.
Thanks in advance!
Hi guys, I got serious problem of app crushes. I want to just do a reset and change my rom cause it's outdated anyway. The thing is I have substratum theme and as of what I know you have to uninstall first your theme in order to install new rom. But Everytime I uninstall the overlays I reboot and it still seems like I still have the theme installed. Do you know what should I do?
Uninstalling substratum themes and app
Good morning to all.
I have a stock non rooted Galaxy Note 8 and after a theme updated last night and I restarted the phone, I get a System UI has stopped pop up box after reboot and then the screen goes black, that's as far as I can get....
Can someone point me in the right direction as to how I can disable the theme via adb or whatever else I have to do to avoid a factory reset?

you'll likely have to find the APKs sangstratum created and delete them manually
