Hello guys
I have a problem that is very annoying and I want to share
When I leave my phone a long hour without using it drops all connections (day and night no matter). With wifi is normal because i have the option "Keep Wi-fi on during sleep" on never. But the data connection should not be off because on power saver i have the option "Sleep mode" off (it says automatically turn off data connection during long periods of inactivity). So it kills the data connection even though i choose not to and when I unlock the phone wifi comes back on but data connection never!!! I go to setting and I see Mobile Data and below it it says "turning on" and it never turns on. The way to fix it is either to restart my phone or toggle airplane mode on and off and then re enter pin. I have no application installed about wifi, data connection, or battery saver.
Any ideas?
Had it with HOX too.
I have the same problem with my HTC One.
I had the same problem with my old HTC One X, but it was fixed after a HTC update.
When i had the problem with HOX HTC told me to remove all apps or and reset the phone to factory reset, witch i didn't do, and when the next upgrade came the problem went away.
So HTC blamed me for there problems.

Hello,
I have a problem with my HTC S730. The dataconnection in connmanager is turned off. But I can't get it back on. It works for half a year but now it won't work. So when my dataconnection is off I can't call or sms.
I tryed a hard-reset but without result...
Any suggestions?
I don't understand. You switched off phone at commmanager - maybe. After restart will be GSMpart fix at switchoff.
Do you go to commmanager and switch phone to on. You don't need dataconnections for SMS and call.
Maybe you switched on airplane mode. It isn't possible use GSM on airplane mode.
If you have switchon GSM, you need setup GPRS or dial-up at settings->connection. You will ask yours network operator.
If no,
Maybe you have problems with yours SIM cards, maybe you have problem with GSM operator or maybe you have problem with phone. If don't you repair it, you test to HW restart. BUT YOU WILL LOST ALL DATA !!!
If you turn off the data connection it will stay off until something in the phone prompts for network access. I usually just refresh my weather page and it fires up and is back online.
However since you hardbooted your phone and still have no luck you might be having other issues. Even more so since you cannot make a call or anything since disabling it. Any new software or flashing done to the phone's rom or radio?
Ok ty all!
My phone is back on.
I don't know how but it works.
Although I still have some problems with my network.
Hey all, I had this problem on my EVO LTE but thought it was just because of the ROM I was running. Turns out, it is happening on the ONE as well. I change network mode to Automatic, allow roaming voice and data, and after a while, network drops back to LTE/CDMA and roaming gets unchecked. No action on my part, they just reset for some reason. WTF gives? Any way to fix this?
That's strange..I've been on automatic since day one and it's still on automatic
Not sure if sprint optimizer is on the one but that could be causing the issues.

Don't think it's that.. had it turned off on the EVO LTE and cant find it on this phone. I can't be the only one having this problem... anyone who sees this, try turning on all roaming settings and setting network to automatic, then check if they are still there 1-2 days later. Mine have reset 3x since I've had this phone, with no warning.
My domestic and international data keeps turning off but I still get data. Sorta similar but not at all.

It just happened yet again, and messed up my internet connection in the process. I CANNOT be the only person this is happening to. Please can anyone help me, shed some light on it, explain, fix it, anything. Huge pain to never know when it will reset back again.
On every reboot, my usb debugging turns off. :/

Hi,
Does anybody here have issues with WiFi policy in Options? I mean I set it to turn off wifi weh never the phone is on sleep( locked) and yet after 30minutes when I lokk to my phone I see that wifi was on all the time. I also confirm my theory wen I go to power and history and see that wifi was actually ON all the time. In other words: My phone ignores wifi sleep policy! My phone is running latest Version of OS and uses stock ROM
I am having a similar problem. I turn WiFi off and mobile data off and yet when I turn on screen just to check the time WiFi is back on. It's a slightly different issue but relates to WiFi no doing as it is told. I'm on 4.1.2.

Lets hope somebody comes up with good suggestion or solution
As the subject says. Some time after I turn wifi off, it would come back on again. My phone is stock, no root or mod at all. This only happens after the 4.3 OTA update. Anyone know what causes this or how to fix it? I manually turn off wifi when driving because it would otherwise pick up cable company hotspots along the way, which is very annoying and not useful at all. At work I keep wifi off because the company wifi has firewall, and signal in my office is very weak. I'd rather keep wifi off to save battery.
Anyone has idea/suggestion? I originally thought it might be the sensorly app, but I've removed that and the problem is still there. I turn the wifi off, and about 30 minutes later when I check the phone, it's on again! Very annoying...
Settings, locations, turn off WiFi.

Maybe check your Locate/GPS settings. There is an option you can select/deselect that allows HTC to turn on wifi for locate purposes even if you have wifi off. Maybe Contact HTC if this is a new issue caused by the update.
(5.1.1) I was on wifi at home. I headed out and have been on mobile data for most of the day. I went for a coffee and my wifi won't work. Tried turning the phone off and airplane mode.
When I click Wifi it says it's on with no networks available. I click More settings and it says Turning Wifi on, but doesn't.
I'd rather not reset the phone, any ideas? Thanks.
yea, reboot your phone.

I had that symptom once, while waiting in a doctor's office. Shutting down and booting back up solved it, but this was a few OTA builds ago (i.e., I'm currently stock, lazy me).
Perhaps delete/forget your current WiFi connections and retry?

My connections don't even show up. I'm gonna let the battery run flat and then try... if not, then reset phone.
I let my battery die, my phone turned itself off after about 4% remaining. 10 hours later and when you hit the power button , it shows the low battery warning, but won't turn on.
So, the battery wasn't completely dead. I needed my phone, I plug it in to charge... And WiFi!!!!!!
Just updated to lmy48m... no wifi again. YAY!!! <_<
I'm having this exact problem w/ my WiFi, and I'm now suddenly getting the "!" appearing ever since updating to LMY48M.
i've been having this problem with build LYZ28J & LYZ28K randomly wifi would stop working. i'd reboot my phone and it would work again then it stoped, so i called Tmo got a replacement this time it took a few days and happened again this time i called Google and they called Motorola they had me wipe cache while i was on build LYZ28J and it worked... then i got the LYZ28K update then 3 days later this morning wifi stoped working again. So i figured doing a cache wipe would work again, but it didn't so i backed up everything and booted into recovery and wiped the phone thinking it would work but that did... still shows Wi-Fi toggle off and says turning on Wi-Fi. Called Tmo again they told me to take it to astore anfd get it diagnosed but im going to call google and see whats up. anyone have any luck getting this fixed ?
I'm also having this problem. Stock 5.1.1
Well I get my replacement phone today let's see if this issue happens I'm going to set it up as a new device.
I had the same problem. I've had pretty terrific success disabling Google Connectivity Service, which I think is somehow related to Project Fi. I went into apps, force stop, disable. Since then, I haven't had to reboot my phone. Before that, I was rebooting, toggling airplane mode, etc.
It's not 100% better though. I have had to toggle airplane a few times. But it's been much less frequent than before.
Suddenly happened today, probably the second time ever. No WiFi saved networks, couldn't locate signals, etc.
Rebooted the phone, everything fine again.
Odd.

I can not connect at all to my work's wifi where I have to enter my AD username and password, just can't connect. It worked mostly fine before Andorid 6.0
It is flaky on regular WPA2 wifi too at home, sometimes have to toggle the wifi or even reboot.
Wifi on the Nexus with Android 6.0 is poor to junk basically.
