[Q] pacman all in one (halo) - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
I'm a noobi and have a mild flashaholism. I tried many rom for my N7000, but seems to allways return to jellybeers PAC all in one rom. It's the greatest rom I think. In the latest nightlies, HALO is in it. Cool, but have problems: HALO will not deactivate. I've tried to uninstall by SDmaid, It remooves, but halo will not disapear from my desktop. Therfore I can not install 3.party apps etc. Have anybody this problem too?? What can I do to deactivate HALO? Is this a code error maybe?
Sorry for my bad english
Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not allowed to post in developer thread yet

Double tap and hold on the halo. A red circle will appear at the top of the screen. Drop the halo onto the red circle. Halo is disabled

Hi!
Thanks! I just found the HALO setting and the reverse setting was preset. Now it's enjoyable to use.. yihaa..

Toggles for JB

Hey all,
I know rom development is in the works, but I feel like I'm lost without toggles in the "pull down notification" area. I was put on to "Power Controls" from the Play Store and it works great. It's free, customizable, and works without root for those that aren't into that sort of thing!
You can find it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.painless.pc&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
Hope this helps a few folks out!
Thanks,

just a heads up to your heads up.. i used this app with ICS and loved it, was exactly what I needed in the notification bar. However with JB this app hurts the experience. In JB the top notification is expanded for greater viewing and actions. This app is treated as a notification and will always be treated as your top notification and you lose the whole JB notification functionality.
Notification Toggle fits well. ICS icons match and notification priority and icon can be changed so it's almost seamless.

Ditto. Works awesome.
Btw- you can manually expand JB notifications with a pinch-to-zoom.

I use Elixar 2. It's pretty nice, adds toggles to your pull down notifications. I don't think it requires root (though some of the features in it do if you want to use them all).

Thanks! This will tide me over until we get some aokp or something.

I have been using a similar app called Widgesoid to implement that toggle for a while. I had been using it in 4.0.4 and it is still there since upgrading to 4.1.1 and I expand my emails all the time to see who said what. Maybe it is this app(people said the same thing about Widgetsoid), or because I already had it installed when upgrading, but I don't know what you mean by losing that functionality. Still works fine for me.

I use the "widgetsoid" app to create a permanent occurrence of customizable toggles in the Notification Tray. My primary setup includes: airplane mode, wifi, wifi tether, bluetooth, rotation lock, screen brightness, flashlight.

The Standard "Power Controls" toggles in already in the widgets tab.

But that can only be used while on the home screen. Having them in the notification section allows quick access anywhere there is a status bar visible.

4.1.1Remics-JB (Team RemICS) *V2 Enquiry

Hi Guys,
I have a question about the following ROM
[ROM][4.1.1] [2.0.0 Rev1] Remics-JB (Team RemICS) *V2 IS ONLINE
Really happy with the performance, i just upgraded from RemICS-UX v1.3.1 and one amzing feature that I can't seem to activate is the notification lights on the bottom two buttons, the lights switch on when i have a missed call, sms, etc... any suggestions?
The second thing is a lot of people are having trouble to have multipule langauges ( such as Arabic) to display, I found the following thread as a suitable solution.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31030729&postcount=1892

Because of the lack of space, it may be necessary to move some apps to the external sd card. On reboot, the icons will turn into green android men in the apps list and disappear from the home screen and bottom drawer.
The tw launcher is somewhat 'flaky', so it will probably be better to download Nova launcher (or Apex or Go...). I've just installed Nova launcher because tw took a nasty turn for the worse this morning. Everything is now fine - though the ui is a little strange at first. One advantage is that Nova presents the app list in alphabetical order - not higgledy piggledy. The settings too can be saved prior to any flashing.

Hide Menu Bar on bottom??

I searched and found some answers for tablets but not the atrix hd.
Anyone use a particular program to hide the menu/status bar on the bottom of screen? It would be nice to have a full screen when gaming or video etc.. perhaps something that just hides and then reappears when you slide side screen or something.
Any custom ROMS that have this built in?
THX
This is Paranoid Android, a custom ROM. I believe this what you're looking for. In the second screenshot, the notification center is replaced with those lines, swiping all the way to the right shows notifications, while swping all the way to the left shows quick settings. Anymore help let me know

PAC, Paranoid, and CM all have that feature....in fact, any rom with PIE has that option. Its called Expanded Desktop. There are also apps on the market that have that feature as well, but I gotta recommend just using a rom with that feature built in.
Thanks Guys.. Will check them out
If you're using stock android.
Use GMD gesture or fullscreen!

LOVING this rom. No issues thus far. Haven't tried Bluetooth yet, but no fc's. If the battery life compares to AOKP, this is my new daily driver. Love the wealth of customizing options. Well done!

But I want to get back on this rom. Do you guys or the Rabbit have any SD swap ideas for this rom? Is it possible on a 422 rom?
Pleasantly surprised with this ROM as I am not normally a big fan of combo ROMs. I would like to see an integrated SD swap like that is skrilax's version of CM 10.2, but otherwise I like it.

uXylon was like this. You need to enable the menu button in phone settings. I can't remember exactly where it's at, but you should be able to find it after digging around a little.

[Q]S Pen Hover Icon on AOSP roms

Hello all!
I've been using Paranoid Android for the las 3 months, and I have to say it is one of the best most well-supported AOSP rom for N7000, so congrats to the developers and please check it out.
I just flashed back to stock official 4.1.2 because I coudn't find a way to make thr hovering icon for the spen appear on the Paranoid Android or any other AOSP rom. Without the hovering icon it's impossible to work with apps like Lecture Notes (in my opinion the best app to use with the spen).
As everybody knows non Touchwiz based roms don't have the support for the pen, but I was wondering if the hovering icon could be different (some trick on the build.prop, perhaps?). In essence, IS THERE A WAY TO ACTIVATE THE HOVERING ICON ON AOSP BASED ROMS, SUCH AS PARANOID ANDROID?
Thanks!
I'm cm 10 there is an option under language and input to show a pointer when hovering and drawing. It's the last one. Not sure about PA. Check it.
Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda premium
Well, couldn't stand stock firmware so I came back to paranoid. The problem now is that the option exists, but when activated (or toggled), it doesn't stay selected.
So what's happening is, I toggle that option, I go to another screen and when I come back it isn't toggled anymore.
I tried using the pen while toggling to see if the hover appears, when I click it but no it doesn't.
I'm very very frustrated.
Happened to me too with PA. But after trying for some time it worked.
