[Q] Questiob about KAO7 XZ revolution rom

I have just installed this rom..But the XZ revolution tweaks in settings does not work ..So can anyone help??And how is the battery life of this ROM??
And does google play work without talk??
I am a user from bangladesh and new to modding...So it would be nice anyone helped me ..

Why didn't you posted in my thread? anyway:
- Fc of revolution tweaks is because it's my first app, I'll update it asap
- Battery life is normal
- Google play doesn't need talk to function 100%

[MOD] Small Apps from Xperia(Small browser can be used as Pop up browser within apps)

Hey guys , i searched this forum and saw no sign of any small apps here , so thanks to @sandy7 's help i have ported Small Apps for Captivate running CM 10.1 4.2.2 latest nightly and Captivating rom (xperia-themed) it includes Small apps from Xperia phones for Camera , Clipboard , Browser (Small Browser can be used like POP UP browser with apps like twitter etc! ):good::good: , Calculator for now. You need to download Slauncher for everything to work , for those of you who cant , there is a another launcher called small app launcher which will automatically be installed , you can use that but inside that launcher there will two small apps for each , so use the second one for ex . there will be two 'camera for small app' use the second one in the bottom part of the list , the same for others Hope you guys like it
Works on roms :cm-10.1-20130524-NIGHTLY-captivatemtd and Latest Captivating (xperia themed) rom RC2. (camera only not working for now)
Choose the correct file for each..
Download:
For Cm10.1 nightly only
For Captivating Rom (Xperia - themed)

Hello,as many of you know ,that here was no updates made for a long time ,but i was working on this ROM with the help of Adam77Root ,Ive tried a lot of different combos of the Build, a lot of logging ,testing was done,but now Ive come to point where I ask any developer to help Porting this ROM to our for 4X ,so ive decided to make this an open development and publish current build.
NOTE: THIS FOR DEVELOPERS ONLY,THE ROM IS NOT BOOTING
CURRENT STATE:
This Port is based on CM10.1 stable with no /system/app.It has - repacked kernel, many imported libs and frameworks. The ROM was stuck at bootanimation all the time ,untill the last libhw_legacy.so was added and it got stuck at LG splash .

i just started the download and its about 16 min left ( i dont have good internet speed, only about 500kb/s) but ill report back and tell if this boots or not

one person reported that the rom reboots all the time,im still not home to test it.

It is more than obvious that the rom will not boot ... No hard feelings!

I wish that this was booted and with no bugs because i would definitly use it.
(only 15 Dutch so maybe bad english.)

Since you port from HOX and use Sense 4+, I assume it's the 4.1.1 version. It will be an enormous work.

Small suggestion. EGL libs have no need to change also hw libs (for start) so first to get the rom booting and after that fixes...there is no need to pile all at once!

contacted him before this ,didnt answer yet ,priority is to get it booted now.

In reply to @Gmobilize for the PM, but others might also be interested:
This and similar ports are not impossible to do. It just needs a lot of work. We are in a good situation, because: 1. We have NEON instruction support (Nowadays almost all new devices have this, but it's a pain if one doesn't.) 2. The HOX is similar both in chipset and in screen size and resolution. 3. We have official JB.
These were the pros, now the cons: HOX JB is based on 4.1.1 and it's slightly different from 4.1.2. Many native libraries should be replaced, which should not cause a problem as the chipset is similar.
I have already worked on a port similar (Stock Samsung JB from Exynos 4 to Tegra 2, without NEON support -> it was really hard), but would not participate in this project right now (I'm intereseted, but have some other work atm.).
Regarding rumours, 4.2.2 with Sense 5 will land in July to the HOX, I would wait for that.
If you need any help with the project, I'm here. Some advices first: Don't flash the whole rom, rather do it one-by-one, i.e. first frameworks, fix the necessary natives, boot into system_server, let SystemUI and core services start app, add providers, add core apps then others. It is a time (and adb ) consuming port, but it has to be this way.

Jelly Cream by Jishnu Sur ported for Old Boot Loader

Anyone interested in a stock based ROM-Jelly Cream with many ported apps but on the old bootloader.

Sorry that I post here but I have a problem/bug in this ROM(newbootloader version). Everytime I receive a text message(sms) I get this error:
" Note: The Application Messaging (process.com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". The good thing is that I receive the message, the bad is that the phone doesn't ring and get always this message. I wiped the cache/sms cache/etc but with the same result.
The second problem is after I flash kowlasky, the kowlasky manager doesn't work properly(the led brightness doesn't work, and the kernel info doesn't appear in phone information, it shows the stock kernel info.

I started to support a couple of days seeing the extra ordinary work done for porting by @Jishnu Sur...and greatly stable...with stunning battery performance when flashed with kk125

Do you know guys, how to update YouTube on Jellycream? Right now I cannot do that, it shows error due to signing and if I remove old apk from system with Titanium, New apk will not install - showing incompatibility.

impossible to get it on old bl.
new bl = more space in system folder for applications. almost all ICS based ROMs can not be on old bl because they take too much size. old bl is too smal in size (MB) mate.

This is not true: if you change the old bl system partition to 512MB any rom available on xda for new bl and converted to old bl can be installed.
Usually CM converted roms work, stock ICS or similar roms (like this one) might have problems related to some converted file but not depending to the size.

Well, i'm really confused. I tried, i read, i flashed - but i can't find a working port for my Mini. Tried about 10 various flashable zips from other Samsung's and Xperia threads without any success. I know it has something to do with android.policy.jar but this goes too far for my brain. Isn't there a simple .zip that is flashable and working?

I knew this thread allready, but thanks anyways. I finally flashed a transformation pack from here, it is still beta but bugfree for me until now and the lockscreen is included. Changed the bootanimation too to Xperia T's one and flashed Joelalmeida's Virginity Kernel V4. Works great.
Changing the Lockscreen's wallpaper is possible with "quickshortcutmaker" - available on Playstore. Just make a shortcut to "up.nxt.lockscreen.settings" and choose your fav. wallpaper.
All found here at XDA and the respect and thanks goes to the devs.

Ok, will try to reproduce the steps how i managed it. Maybe that some devs dont want that their work will be linked, in this case i respect that and will not provide any links.
But please - be patient, my boss is at his holidays and i have to do his job atm, 12 - 13 hours per day are normal for now. Dont expect a howto until next week.
