[q] htc sensation xl help !!!

I ****ed up and completely wiped my xl , i need to find the software or rom to reinstall the factory rom/software , any idea or links would help , i don't want to have a very expansive paper weight , it how absolutely nothing on the hard drive what am i to do ?

Wow how could you manage to wipe everything??? Does it go even in boot menu?

idk i was ****ing with it boot and now when i turn it on its just stays on the htc white screen , i think i just need to put some software in it ,

Have you unlocked the bootloader, rooted the phone and put recovery on it? If not, that's what you should probably do if you don't have software on it. Download a custom rom after doing all that and flash it.

All you have done is a full wipe. Its no big deal. Flash a rom from recovery or a RUU from bootloader.

you will prob find it easer to just unlock bootloader, flash CWM then a custom rom.

nothing is working ! remember that the only thing i see is the boot menu where you press down on the volume button and click power , how would i install the rom or sftware from their ?

Do you have recovery installed already?
1)If so boot into that and mount ur sd car to usb cable.
2)If you don't then go to fastboot, connect it to your computer using a usb cable, then unlock your bootloader, flash recovery and download a custom rom and put it in to ur phone through the method 1. Use the link I provided before.

I don't think it's possible to get your old rom back, so it might just be easier flashing a custom one. Generally better anyway.

I don't know which ruu he had to download, he needs the european ruu.. can you suggest me the ruu to download please?

It takes me 3 days googling to search this thing when I bricked my phone on 2nd day after purchased this phone.

That's a velocity ruu. You have a vivid or velocity?

My phone have logo of at&t but when i use "htc_vivid_att_RUU_3.26.502.56_US" for flashing, the progress has been error ( also say that the current version is 3.41.708.1)[/B]

How can i save my phone? anybody helps me !

Boot your phone into Fastboot
Make sure your relock your bootloader
Reboot back into fastboot and try running RUU
If you have an AT&T logo then you are using a Vivid. Be sure you are using the correct RUU for ICS AT&T.
You should always relock your bootloader before installing a RUU if you are S-ON.

ok . i have updating ota suddenly reboot and problems start. great problem is not accept any custom recovery . only reboot and stuck htc logo .
i dont know what work to do . i have tried RUU NOT ACCEPT . ERROR 131 AND 140 .

what guide did you follow to install recovery? have u actually installed it? if it was there it would load. when installing it, capture a screenshot on the pc, save it in paint and post it up. you have missed something or you would in there

ahmadjan0098 sent me a screenshot where he flashed a recovery.img (size 3820kB) without problems.

@ahmadjan0098:Which image you used (CWM 5.x)? Can you boot into recovery now (HBOOT should do that normally)? Which system ROM do you have on the Salsa?

Htc one M7 encryption unsuccesful

Hi guys,
I'm stuck at an problem.. A friend of me has given me his phone with this problem to solve it by me.. He tried to install an custom rom and failed. However still the stock recovery is on the phone.
The phone says the encryption is unsuccesfull.. now i read things about that the bootloader is broken or something like that?
I searched many topics but couldn't figure out what to do exactly for my model...

He tried to flash a custom rom on a locked bootloader? With stock recovery? And phone reporting "encryption unsuccessful"?
FYI it's impossible to flash any custom software on a locked and s-on bootloader, neither using the stock recovery. Simply sounds like he tried to encrypt user data...a factory reset from stock recovery should fix the problem, otherwise restoring using a RUU is something to consider.

Yeah i tried to do a factory reset in the recovery but that didn't work.. Yes he tried to flash it with an locked bootloader lol really stupid..
I read trough your thread already for the RUU.. But it is not clear for me what i exactly need and how to do it exactly.

BTW Its a Dutch Vodafone version as far as i know.

Follow the guide at the end of post #2 of the lollipop ruu collection thread (see stickies in the general section) to downgrade your version-main to 7.18.161.2 then flash the 7.18.161.21 ruu. After flashing the ruu you'll have to download 2 Ota updates so the phone is back to .161.51

There is no video and not planning to make one.
Unlock your bootloader, flash twrp recovery, follow guide at the end of post #2 to downgrade your version-main and flash the ruu using instruction of post #1.
