Is there anyone out there that knows if you can separate the LCD and Digitizer? If it's similar to the ONE XL then I would consider that a no but if it's like the EVO 3D then I would consider that a yes. Basically is the adhesive only around the edges or is it across the entire LCD.? Thanks

i dont want to go for a new touch screen digitizer
Housing link from where i am buying : http://cgi.ebay.ca/FULL-BLACK-HOUSING-HTC-SPRINT-TOUCH-XV6900-MP6900-/170525852132?pt=PDA_Accessories
I am in INDIA & here HOUSING is only available for HTC ELF & not for vogue

I really dont know about the VOGUE thing
So please guys help me out!!
If the housing can be replaced without changing the touch screen digitizer then can any one please give me a tutorial?
Thanks in advance!

if your still looking for one, ebay is good.
depends on what color
there is white and black
check for which ones fit with yours as the cdma and gsm ones are slightly different
and check if it comes with a digitizer or not
preferably a new one
key words: htc vogue
and then 'housing' if you can't find any
Hi guys
So I saw this long thread on replacing the digitizer for the HTC Sensation. It says you need to get the (model?) numbers off the digitizer and match it to a replacement digitizer. If they don't match, it says the phone may lag considerably. I heard about the calibration tool and flashing a new ruu to fix issues, but I wasn't sure if that meant any digitizer will do.
Here is my digitizer model number on the ribbon.
I had two questions: Is this the case for the HTC Sensation XL and what numbers should I be quoting eBay sellers in order to find a match?
I intend to buy the LCD and digitizer together as both were cracked.
There are quite a few digitizer + LCD combos with a wide price disparity between them. Here's an eBay Australia listing.
I suppose I would buy this one if it were suitable.
Thanks and apologies if my searching failed to find the answer on another thread.

on the i fix it take down it scored a very low score on repairable score
http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/HTC+One+Teardown/13494
HTC One Repairability Score: One out of 10 (10 is easiest to repair)
Very, very difficult (possibly impossible?) to open the device without damaging the rear case. This makes every component extremely difficult to replace.
The battery is buried beneath the motherboard and adhered to the midframe, hindering its replacement.
The display assembly cannot be replaced without removing the rear case—this will make the most common repair, a damaged screen, nearly impossible.
Copper shielding on many components is difficult to remove and replace.
hope this helps
This user did just that and was happy with the results:

I would contend that if you don't either have a lot of experience or a lot of time, patience, desire to learn and acceptance of the fact you'll probably destroy your phone, I'd give tearing down your HTC One a miss.
I'm pretty sure I can disassemble my phone carefully, I've read about it a lot and watched some videos, but the only think no one has mentioned so far is how to put it back together, using new housing. Cause I wonder if I need to use some glue or something?

1.front cover
2.back(battery)cover
3.sim tray
And 4.lcd3 touch screen and digitizer.
My question is :if my digitizer is fine and my touch sceen is a bit scratched do I need to buy digitizer?
Thank you in advance.

generally you can't separate the LCD / digitizer / front glass
they are all replaced as one because their glued together
hi to everyone,
i need your help with my HTC First, the outer glass is cracked. i know the outer glass and digitizer are all together but im not sure about separating them from the LCD screen. Ive tried finding a repair video and/or step by step instructions and was able to find 1 but it wasn't very good. i found one video of a LCD screen and digitizer/outer glass combo replacement but it never showed how to separate the 2. any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance to all that reply with help
mike
It's really risky to separate the glass from the digitizer as they are fused together. Best luck would be to replace the whole LCD screen/glass/digitizer.
