Hi,
I was flashing XperimenT ROM with no changes to kernel.
Then I flashed firmware .141
Afterwards I installed CWM once again by pressing install.bat from my PC hard drive and cannot access it.
I pres VOL + and it simply shows SONY and then XPERIA...
Have no idea what to do.
Data from Flashtool:

I have read about drivers installation via Flashtool... but where do I get them from? Then it's said do flash the kernel (do I have to?).

flash this root package, then install cmw again.
RootPackage-gregbradley.zip - 1.75 MB
PS, why have you unlocked your bootloader if you do not want to install custom kernel? You have already lost your warrenty so you might as well install doomkernel and get it all in one package

My mistake, you cant flash it until you have recovery.
My suggestion is to flash doomkernel in flashtool (Fastboot mode, extract the kernel.elf from the .zip, this will give you recovery) then flash doomkernel again in recovery using the .zip (This will sort out your wifi modules etc)
finally flash the root package I linked to earlier.
You will be fine after that
If you need any advice on how to do this read post 2 of the all in one thread (First thread in the Q&A section) for tutorials

No,
that package relocks your bootloader. It does not unlock it.
After flashing that you have a locked bootloader
You need to unlock your bootloader via the official sony website. That is the only way to do it.
Go here to find the instructions
The way was full of obstacles and I realised that there is still no good guide on the forum for NOOBs like me.
A lot of reading, hard work, endurance and will led me to flash gregbradley's package
I hope to install some ROM now.
Hope to get some suggestion from you guys.

That is the only way to do it, its the official way to do it from Sony.
But you are correct, if you cannot follow those instructions you need to read up first.
My suggestion is to read the first 3 posts in the very first thread in the Q&A section.

I know, but in step to flash rom with locked bootloader, you say flash .195 kernel.
I remember in arc thread, when need to root em, we need downgrade kernel, root and after that, flash .587.
I am on locked bootloader. If this rom is with .195 kenel, i don't need flash another. I know this.

Hello Sir, I have a question regarding root.
Is it possible to make root this way:
(locked bootloader)
1) Latest firmware .195 (no root).
2) Flash down to .303 kernel+loader.sin with flashtool (from a ftf)
3) Make root with Bin4ary
4) Flash the .195 kernel+loader.sin with flashtools (from a ftf)
5) Ready?
I am new here on this forum, before I was Arc-boy.

I dont think so, I think you need to flash the whole 303 firmware. There are plenty of guides in the general section and none of them involve just flashing the kernel.
Hello guyz,
I tried rooting my Xperia Z 10.3.1.A.0.244 according to the instructions on http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2386405.
But when I start the tool at the end of the processing it says 10.3.1.A.0.244 is not supported.
So how can I root it.

Hi, not much i can say, but you need to follow this instruction:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386405
[ how-to ]
Download the three files from the download section below
open FlashTool and flash the XperiaZ_C660X_KernelOnly_10.3.A.0.423_Generic_NL.ftf - 7.12 MB file, this is JUST the kernel of an older firmware which was rootable
now once flashing is done reboot device and connect to PC in usb debuggin mode
CLOSE FLASHTOOL <<< VVVIMP STEP
extract the file DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit.zip to root directory on c:\
execute runme_ file corresponding to your OS on desktop PC, this will execute a SPECIAL version of my easy rooting toolkit <<< VVVIMP STEP
the above step is crucial! if you use any older version of the toolkit then IT WILL NOT WORK!
after rooting is over the device will restart
you can verify if device is rooted by checking for SuperSU app (it is the newest version)
once thats done now power down device and open FlashTool again
now flash XperiaZ_C660X_KernelOnly_10.3.1.A.0.244_BE.ftf - 7.17 MB file to get back to the true kernel for the firmware
thats it after flashing is done just disconnect and power on device and enjoy rooted phone!

1) tried some other 1-click softwares before I found this post.

Now when I used the Flashtool (Emma) it says that there have been modifications to my software and cannot flash
What can I do? Is there a more manual way to flash the kernel to the older version??

If you have unlocked the BL just flash the advanced stock kernel via fastboot & then boot in recovery & flash the su zip that is kicking around for rooting 4.3....
worked for me anyway
The way to root is easy if you read. You downgrade to a 434 kernel with flash tool, run the root and upgrade back again with flash tool, easy. Don't need to unlock or anything.

Which rom did you try to flash?
Have you unlocked the bootloader?
My guess is that you have not unlocked and tried to flash CM (Or vice versa)
If you have not unlocked, then you can repair using pccompanion.
Or if you have (and also have not) unlocked you can flash a stock ftf in flashtool

I can't see information where you said you unlocked your Bootloader - maybe I just don't see it or you didn't wrote that but I hope you did that before flashing custom kernel...
BTW - flashmode is enough to flash firmware and start again...

Could you post a link of that ROM?
I know for some projects - MIUI on stock kernel - but I didn't know there's one from ihackers..
Unfortunately...my guess is -
1. You flashed wrong ROM/KERNEL to your device.
2. You flashed custom kernel on locked bootloader.
Because I don't have any other informations I won't make final conclusion but most likely your device is dead for good...
Never cross flash ROM or KERNEL
That means - use only ROMs, APPs and KERNELs designed or ported for your device.
NEVER flash custom kernel on locked bootloader
Maybe you haven't flashed kernel (via fastboot) but are you sure there wasn't file boot.img in ROM zip?
Because - that's kernel...
Proper flashing on locked bootloader must contain flashing kernel (stripped ftf or whole ftf but with exclude system and data) through Flashtool!
That's the only way to get kernel on stock based ROM - locked bootloader

Well...yeah...that's probably it...
The thing is if you unlocked bootloader, maybe, just maybe there will be a chance to fasboot Z1 kernel but now... I'm 99.9% sure that's it.
If you tried to flash only ROM, without boot.img (kernel) you would probably end with just error in flashing but flashing XS kernel on Z1 device is hard bricked.
Sorry to be the one who told you that but that's the way it is...

Try this...
Ooen latest flashtool (14 or 15) and start flashing stripped ftf 136 - without device.
When flashtool shows window with warning to connect...then connect device holding vol down.
Try that few times and disable final verification.
You can also try that with 534, 290 or any firmware, exclude everything except kernel.
You can also try to restore your TA backup

Just flash a stock kernel, you don't need an unlocked bootloader to do that

Try it in fastboot
Extract the boot.img from a stock ftf, then use fastboot to flash it, you "should" be able to do this even if your boot is locked as the stock kernel has the stock sony signature
Okay, i tried to flash kernel and this is what i get:
Code:
18/052/2014 22:52:43 - INFO - Selected kernel (boot.img or kernel.sin): C:\Users\Deuter\kernel.sin

What's good about this, is that, that my computer now recognize my phone! But it's marked as "Unknowed Device", and now, every time when i plug in my phone into my computer, my computer is making characteristic sound o;
try this instead.
"fastboot boot kernel.sin"
Seems like it fails on writing the image in boot partition. However doing the above command should just hotboot the kernel in memory hence nothing is written to any partition.

It worked, o;.. But i don't see any diffrence...
http://scr.hu/1awl/k8b9m
Ok great seems like you can hotboot a kernel... Did the phone at least start up after? Like display lights up, sony logo etc? If not after doing "fastboot boot kernel.sin" you need to type "fastboot reboot" and see if the phone boots up. If not then can you try hotbooting a kernel with custom recovery? Just
fastboot boot <custom kernel>
fastboot reboot
when led light goes on press volume key to boot into recovery
then reflash the ROM you need to flash
That should be 2 tests to try. Sorry for the messy formatting I'm just typing it on my mobile phone.

He has not unlocked the bootloader, so no custom kernel with recovery will flash.
@limuwaj12 you have flashed a stock kernel, try getting it flashmode again and flashing a FTF. Also, make sure you do not connect the phone until prompted to by flashtool
A little trick here is when pressing the volume button to get into flashmode, press and release the power button. I had to do this on my xperia T a couple of times.
THE PROBLEM:The phone isn't detected as Xperia V in CWM/Fastboot

The RED means that the Kernel you are trying to install isn't for your device(In this case Xperia V/LT25i/Tsubasa), but it in my case IT WAS the right kernel for the device.
Message I got when installing ROM:
This package is for device: LT25i, tsubasa; this device is MINT(Xperia T).
This was due to recovery was for Xperia T
THE FIX:
Back up your media if you didn't!
Before I started messing with ROOT, Unlocking Bootloader I made a backup of my TA keys(VERY IMPORTANT) using Backup-TA-9.11
The first thing you need to is(if you have a TA Backup) is download the official .FTF for your device and flash it using Flashtool app and Flash mode to restore your device completely to stock, after you did so. Recover you TA Backup(if you have one), THIS WILL RELOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER. After doing so repair your phone with PC Companion. So now you have your device as new.
IF YOU DON'T HAVE TA BACKUP
Download official .FTF for your device(Xperia only of course), flash it using Flashtool and then continue to the next step(YOU CAN'T repair you phone using PC Companion if your BL is unlocked)
It's recommended to remove everything from you INTERNAL STORAGE(format from Settings) and remove SD Card(if you have any).
Now you have to Unlock you Bootloader again by going to offical Sony Bootloader Unlock website, BUT don't unlock it using SDK Fastboot, UNLOCK IT using Flashtool BLU button.
After that restart your phone, set up everything again(Set Up guide) and transfer(in my case was CM11) your ROM to Internal Storage. After doing so download PhilZ Touch Recovery file = XT-lockeddualrecovery2.7.154-BETA.installer.zip (23.47MB) and follow the Instructions how to install the recovery.
After doing so comes the Kernel part (IMPORTANT!)
DO NOT FLASH USING FASTBOOT IN SDK(platform-tools)
Extract boot.img from the rom's .zip file(in my case cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-tsubasa.zip) to Desktop(or any place that fits you)
Turn off your phone and connect it to fastboot mode(Volume Up while plugging in the USB to the phone), click the Lightning bolt in Flashtool and select fastboot mode, after doing so click Flash Kernel and find the place where you placed it, in pop up menu select *.img and choose boot.img, you should get OKAY message if flashing went with no problems. Plug off the phone from the computer.
Turn it on and keep pressing Volume up until you get to recovery, you should be in PhilZ touch recovery, now go to wipe data/factory reset and select Clean for New ROM and tap OK. After this you should go to Install zip from sdcard0 and select your ROM zip, if everything is successful, then CONGRATS. You have successfully fixed this annoying problem and can install custom kernels and roms. CHEERS
Yes, there is a working kernel. Check my signature.
deleted
I tried your kernel, tried all kernels, but it shows Sony logo and doesn't load anything else, tried with other custom recoveries every custom ROM gives me Status 7 even when I deleted assert lines. I don't know what the problem is, every Kernel and every ROM isn't working, I have unlocked bootloader, flashed the kernel using with fastboot and flashtool. It was strange that all kernels had Sony logos, i dont know if there is a problem with flashing. Every time i flashed a kernel an OKAY message popped up. And it's weird that all ROMs show Status 7 error. Anyone experienced this?

So I switched from my Xperia Neo to Xperia V few months ago, and I was used to having CWM with every kernel for every ROM on it so I didn't know here was different :/
I unlocked BL and decided to install CM11 on my Xperia since I'm sick of all the bugs 4.3 has. After that a phone was factory reset. So at that moment I powered off my device flashed boot.img(from CM11) and was hoping for the best(was following official CM instructions) so after I flashed it. BOOM Sony logo and then BOOM again..sadly nothing happens, I figured it is since kernel doesn't have CWM so I tried other kernels from other ROMs. but they dont have it either. I installed a Kernel for JB and tried flashing T-Wiz recovery and switching back to official CM11 kernel, but no luck, I don't have a stock ftf or a kernel so I cant return to stock, what should i do?
There is no kernel for Xperia V KitKat with recovery :crying::crying::crying:
