I had pi-llama ROM some weeks ago and I changed to Omar Avelar's one. I noticed that my phone couldn't connect to a WiFi network now, it just shows the message"obtaining IP address" but nothing
And I had an LG optimus black before and I could connect to a network from my school, it had ICS and whit my RAZR i, I definitely can't connect to it. A friend has the same phone than me "RAZR i" but whit ICS and She can connect to the network

Its a JB issue. Not just RAZR I. Had a issue with a RAZR I and RAZR and sg3 after updating to JB. Fixed it with a new WiFi router. Seems not all routers are JB compatible.

As above.. When I try to switch on to my portable wifi hotspot, I'm getting error but I'm still ale to connect it from my pc but it's state no Internet connection.. Anyone have any idea what's wrong? Thanks..

Hi I'm having the same problem with my HTC Desire HD. I also can't connect by wifi. I spoke to HTC about the problem & they advised me to do a factory reset.... which I did but it didn't resolve the problem. Not being very technically minded I am assuming that this means it is not a software problem & the fault lies with the hardware. I'm going to take it into Tmobile for repair.

I know this is as old as the mountains, but is there still no fix for a Secured Portable wifi hotspot for the p1000? Is that why it doesn't have a stable version yet?
Everything else works great on cm10 even though some settings like WIFI Region code and Preferred Network Type has to be reset after every nightly update and Reboot.
But, it is still great.
i am in a weird dilemma... My current postpaid plan includes unlimited data and i usually tether my phone or insert my sim card into a USB broadband device.
I recently upgraded myself into LG Optimus2x as i used to have Optimus One
anyway, my dilemma is between the mobile hotspot capability of the phone
I can use wifi tethering OPEN with no problem
but when i use WPA2 for password
my laptop cannot connect to it
it always comes up as unsuccessful/ limited connection
My laptop's OS is
Windows Vista Home Premium SP2
My LG O2x is on V20f STOCK version
running on 2.3.4 Android Ginerbread
Kernel Version is 2.6.32.9
Baseband Version is 1035.21_20110725
can anyone help me understand what seems to be the problem?

Ok so I have noticed since I updated to ICS that some networks I don't have any issues connecting to WEP/WAP no key. but then sometimes I get these networks at local places and when you put the network key in or try to connect it does this.

Authenticating....
Obtaining IP Address.....
Saved....
And it doesn't connect to it.
Is there anyway of fixing this issue.
I'm on CleanNote running hardcore kernel and I'm on 4.0.3 I heard people saying that 4.0.4 has the same issue and I never saw this issue in GB 2.3.5-2.3.6

Thanks for the hint but seems that my question was bit unclear.
As my tablet is wifi only, every now and then I would need to connect to adhoc wifi i.e. to a mobile.
So I am looking for solution how to connect to adhoc wifi. In mean while I did some searching and if I got it right CM10 does not support adhoc connection (yet). It works in CM9.
One solution woulb be to change my N9 to iphone as for some reason they establish wifi differently so tablet sees iphone wifi but not N9

Did you try 'Wi-Fi Direct' in the triple-dot menu in the WiFi area?

Yes I have tried the direct wifi and also that does not find ac-hoc networks.
So most likely I just have to wait until CM10 supports adhoc connections...
When you conect to a wifi network with wpa/wpa2 psk everything ok.
But if you have to connect a network with a 802.1 x EAP security EAP-TTLS and a PAP, the first time you conected everything works good.
After that, first conection you will never be capable to conect again to a wifi with wpa/wpa2 again.
You can switch off and then restart wifi but problem persists.
You have to delete memory from the phone and forget 802.1 x eap network memorized.
Then everything starts to work again ...
Does anybody have same experience???
How to resolve that???

I have to clean all memory after wlan memorized, eatch time phone don´t want to connect to a newer wlan.

same problem on stock V30B
I had the same problem with leaked ICS ROMs. Have you guys ever considered flashing some modified ones such as carburano's DjangoManouche or civato's FlexIcer? Or do you prefer staying on full stock ROMs? Because I haven't experienced wifi problems with these two that I mentioned...
