[Q] Write and Go (Samsung default app) for download

Hi, I´m using Darky´s Gingerbread ROM and there isn´t any "Write and Go" application.
I want this application back because it´s really easy to post something to the facebook wall. Could you please someone copy this application from the system and put it here for download for me?
EDIT: Please I need it :/ the installer apk from /system/app would be just fine

I think you have to copy it directly in /system/app/ with rootexplorer (after mounting system R/W)

I tried it, it doesn´t copy anything.

Try to download it from Romkitchen as an update.zip then flash it with CWM!

quick question Gerusz,
when i goto romkitchen, click on galaxy s, then on generate, then on the apps tab, then select only flash and go, it tells me that if i dont select a launcher my phone wil be unusable. How to i create an update.zip that ISN"T trying to replace my entire ROM?

Hey I have the same problem, using darky rom and i couldnt find this app anymore. Any solution yet? been searching for quite some time

I know this is an old thread, but just thought that you guys on darky ROM should know that all of these apps are available and installed on your phone on your SD card. They will be in a folder for darkyROM and they will be saved in system/apps within that folder. You use and always should use the darkyROM tool available from the market and it will add or remove any system app you want and it backs them up (so if you remove something you shouldn't you can re-install again) and also it does the same for user apps too. It has now been suceeded by the darkyOTA application though which provides Over The Air updates for ROM related stuff. All support and info is located on the darkyROM forums to check out

[Q] How do I set a default home with a rom ?

I installed Gingercruzt rom and Arc Launcher Transparency theme. But when I press the Home button, there is a pop-up with the last applications. When I turn off the phone, home theme of gingercruzt comes back. I tried with " Home switcher " but nothing happens.

boot into recovery
full wipe (factory reset)
reboot
install your arc launcher again
when you pressing home key make sure you not hold it
when you hold afew moment it become recently app
(so press once)
pop up screen will come out (it will ask launch by what?)
sellect arc launcher if you want it and make sure u click on the make it default
hope this can solve your pain

I tried but it doesn't work nothing happens when I push once on home button.
I have two others questions :
- before intalling the rom I put games on my SDcard but after the installation I could'nt find them anymore.
- how do I take off the sound when the phone is started ?

1- are u using app2sd or something similar? and u need ext2/ ext3/ ext4 on your sdcard
2- what rom you wearing rite now?

1) No I don't have any application like that. I just move on the games with parameters-> applications -> manage the applications
2) I have the R8

you have to play with unlock boot loader (be carefull)
flashing kernel (easy)
partitioning sdcard (ext2/ext3/ext4) (lot steps)
or
Download all the app U like with browser instead market
(because when download using market we don't have the installer for the app)
download the app.apk and save it in one folder and just name it apk folder..
so everytime u change your rom, u can simply instal it again and again, and again..
I just use this trick!!

some app.apk u can simply google it..
but almost paid app.apk are not allowed!
I just buy a paid app.apk dvd with my friend
About the boot sound U have to search it your self..
I'm not sure about your rom rite now (R8)??
but u can try this
install root explorer (phone need rooted)
(this app same like file manager but it can see phone and system files)
you can simply search the boot animation folder
on phone directory instead sdcard
search one by one folder
when u get the boot sound or boot animation u can simply delete
(If can't delete) click on "mount RW" on the top right

[Q] cyanogen mod camera destination?

in the update.zip where do i find the folder where the camera installs. because on cyanogenmod 2.2 froyo has very good quality. and the cyanogenmod with android 2.3 gingerbread has crappy. i want to replace it.

well if u have ur Camera.apk from the rom u want (froyo) then u copy it to sd card. Nets u must open root explorer go to sd card and search for ur Capera.apk u copied now u have to long press on it and choose copy. Next u go back then system and then app. u paste it here. If it says replace u choose yes. Now u long press on it again and then choose permissions/ Now u must tick like i said post before:

Thks, but not working for me (81.5.40002 EU).
Mass storage, MTP and PTP don't work at all and cause an error message "Processus storage stop".
And to finish the DPI change

remember this eu version is for odex roms not deodex roms
if someone can uploaded the deodex settings.apk I can make for deodex and odex roms
you will need to add this line to build.prop
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
to fix dpi

did you not backup your rom first
with root explorer do you see your sdcard at /sdcard

iv just tested the zip and it is working do you have both apk and odex in system/app

yes of course I I backup my rom
I see my sdcard yes, but when I connect my phone to the laptop I get the processus error message.
I'm odex, have you always my setting apk 81.5.40002 odex?

could you return to your backup and uploaded me both your settings.odex and settings.apk and I'll try to deodex it

Thanks for the boot... the SD swap works wonders but... is there a particular reason of why while windows detects a new usb storage unit... this appears as disabled?
Edit: Also if I try to go into settings -> storage android displays "settings has stopped"

It still shows a grayed unit on my pc and cannot access the files, also if I go to storage in settings it force closes
Edit: I actually would be happy only with the sd swap option, tried the one in the other post but that force closes a lot of applications once applied, but the one contained in this version works wonders....

Here it is, and thank you for your hard work... (it still would be great if you got a separated version of exactly this mod that only swaps the sd card since that one always work for me but not the usb mount....)

[Q] obb folder cant rename/delete & cannot back to stock 4.12

Before this I done install asphalt8 in custom rom.after try several latest custom rom (yes I wipe), then I cant play it.after checking just try rename obb folder but cannot.any suggestion.bcos of that I try to restore to stock but no luck due to hboot 1.5* I think. It back but touch screen jammed.

After several checking, looks like android upper 4.2 problem in obb folder is no longer working for piracy app now.can anyone confirm it?
