Hi everyone,
Got my 3 branded HTC One S-Offed today, with the aim of getting the stock cid HTC__001 ROM on there so I can get OTA update ON TIME (Yup, Three still haven't released the 1.29 update)
So my CID's been changed to HTC__001 and flashed the RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13. 3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed.exe RUU
All went smooth and all the bloatware disappeared, however my software version is still showing as 1.28.771.6 which is the Three ROM software version, which is why i'm guessing it's still not shoiwng any OTA updates available?
Tried flashing again with SuperCID instead and when flashing this tume the RUU utility showed my phone's software version as 1.28.401 like it should have been, however flashed again and same thing, software version still showing up 1.28.771.6!
Feel as though i'm missing something stupid if anyone can help please!
You have to change more than your cid in bootloader it appears twice if not 3 times go read supercid thread in development section

Checked it out, my HTC One is showing HTC__001 as CID with the getprop "ro.cid" command also without having to do anything, so in all three places my CID is correct, am I missing something else?
Sorted this by the way, extracted the rom.zip from the RUU and flashed manually through fastboot, now working!

The radio seems to be the right version now as well? I think I may just run the RUU exe over this again to make sure
This is exactly what i want to do. I have a HTC One from from 3 and want to debrand and go to a stock rom. Have you recieved an OTA update since you have done this? Or are you still on 1.28.401.7 that you flashed?

I'm locked, s-off, after check with command getprop. My cid 11111111.. if I flash RUU.. my recovery will lost?

Yeah, the RUU set's everything back to stock, including recovery
You do NOT need to change all Cid locations for RUU and OTA's. Just the Fastboot one is sufficient. I just tested RUU and OTA and it works fine. You can RUU without even re locking the bootloader with supercid, but to install an OTA you will have to relock bootloader and change cid from 11111111 to whatever carrier you are trying to OTA. I personally have an ATT CWS__001, changed CID to 11111111 with fastboot oem writecid 11111111. (get prop cid is still CWS__001) Ran older Dev edition ruu, installed fine without locking or changing cid. Booted and system Downloaded OTA, of course wouldnt install due to improper system files. Fastboot oem lock and fastboot oem write cid BS_US001 was all i needed to successfully install the OTA. NO HEX EDIT needed.
I see you are on 3, is that in the UK? ... I'm curious that's all as mine is a sim free one and I wondered, when it comes to the 4.2.2 update, will a sim free user get the update at a different time to someone who has a carrier branded phone? I'm on Tesco and just wondered if I'll get the update when they decide to send it to my phone, or will it work differently seeing as I bought the phone sim free?

Yup in the UK, I had a Three branded phone, which officially never even received the 1.29 OTA. If you've got a SIM free phone then it doesn't matter what network your on, you'll get the update same time as the other SIM free phones, it's just branded phones that get updates at different time

Ah sound, operators are a ***** lol, glad I opted for sim free, especially as my contract costs me £7.50 a month and the same one, with a contract phone, cost me £25.

Yes it does as the ROM.zip in the RUU is the complete file - radio, ROM, fw, the lot

Can you please give a few more details about how you installed ROM.zip through fastboot? I have followed all the steps. S-OFFed, HTC__001 cid but when I install the RUU my version number refuses to change.

I'm in the exact same situation but managed to dig a bit more and bumped into this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWqUlTSvr8U

I'm also guessing that i need to relock my bootloader to flash this ?
I started with the 3 Branded uk phone. I had an unlocked bootloader and TWRP recovery on it as i was going to go for a custom rom to fix my Bluetooth issues.
But after seeing the original post and realizing s-off was now available this is what i did.
With Bootloader unlocked and recovery still there i S-Off'd the phone and then set my CID to HTC__001
Then i downloaded RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13. 3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed.exe
I ran this as the .exe i downloaded no extracting or anything it was untouched. It installed fine and i double checked the version on the phone once booted and they all matched.
While i was checking version numbers the update for 1.29.401.12 popped up so i installed that straight away.
Bootloader is still unlocked and i am just waiting for the 4.2.2 update now.
Hi guys,
Apologies for the nature of the post - I know some people get irritated by this kind of request, but I'm missing a few bits of info to debrand my HTC One, now that S-OFF is available.
Basically, I'm tired of waiting on Three to do updates, and generally being away from branded is what I like. I did that with my S2 as well, and I'm no slouch when it comes to flashing, etc.
I have a bootloader unlocked, rooted HTC One (unlocked by HTC DEV). The software number is 1.28.771.6, serial HT32WW. Now, whilst I can read through the S-OFF process, and I understand it ok, I firstly want to be sure it won't wipe my data right off the bat, or that it won't be temperamental with the CWM Recovery that is installed.
Next, and this is the bit that I'm really unfamiliar with (give me Odin tarballs any day...) is what RUU to get, and how to flash it correctly such that I will be debranded, but stock HTC. I would also really love it as a bonus if it won't require me to factory reset my device / wipe my data, but I realise maybe this can't be helped.
Basically, I just want a nice, clean, rooted debranded HTC One by the end of this, that will happily accept future OTA updates without a hitch.
Thanks for any advice and help you can give, even if it's honestly just links to threads I may have missed in my searching. I'm just trying to tie all the process together.
I have the same problem with my Dutch T-Mobile branded HTC one (1.29.111.16)
I have just made it S-OFF and changed the CID from T-MOB101 to HTC_E11. I also just want a nice unbranded HTC One that doesn't relly on T-Mobile but HTC to get updates.
when you have S-OFF everything should be possible... flash a non-branded RUU (possibly not the latest one) and when you're done try to see if there are updates available... if you get updates that you carrier hasn't released yet then you're done
What RUU.exe should i take, because I just don't see it through all the available ones (with Sensation I could do it blindly but it's ben a while so firgive my noobishness)
I have a Dutch HTC one that's S-OFF (revolutionary) and CID changed from T-MOB101 tot HTC_E11. No further root or custom recovery whatsoever.
Software version 1.29.111.16 (I believe the 111 means that it's branded by T-Mobile)
Does flashing a new RUU require a factory reset to 'take'? I remember this being the case with the CSC changes of Galaxy series phones.

That should be HTC__E11 not HTC_E11 (double underscore), use an ruu with 401 in the versioning from http://bugsylawson.com/files/category/50-ruus/

i had just achieved S-Off on my AT&T Htc One and now i am having network problems. any had this type of problem before?
I have AT&T and s-off, no problems here. Have you tried wiping and reflashing? Maybe the new modem that mike1986 has on his ARHD thread? That worked great for me also.

yeah i have tried wiping and reflashing. i did the CID and i think thats where it started happening, right now i have to data, can recieve calls as well. is there a way to go back to stock completely and start over again?
Hi,
I had this problem but with WIFI.
He remained without activation activate.
I can flash a RUU (1.28.401.7 i'm not AT&T) and everything updated.
Then return to S-OFF and it worked.
Testing flash firmware (operating in your version of One)
if i flash RUU, well that completely make the phone stock, includung CID?
Maybe you need to modify your CID to flash RUU.
Ex : my one was SFR (vodaphone france) and no wifi after S-OFF
I 've modify my CID VODAPxxx to HTC__203 ( i think it's for stock french/euro one version), then flash RUU stock.
Modem radio ect are changed by the RUU (that solved my wifi problem i think), my CID stay HTC__203.
By cons I can not put my original version of SFR, I'm stuck in Version Stock or custom
but I do not know what version of ruu for AT&T you have to take

Did you change the CID?
If you changed to superCID then try changing back to your original and see if thet helps.
I just changed both on my phone and still have the problem. But after I let the phone sit for awhile, it starts to connect back. But when I reboot again, it doesn't connect for awhile.

Just bought my HTC one last week and after set up realized the TV app was not there.
What should i do to fix this problem?would a factory reset alone do or is there something else i need to do?
Running android 4.1.2( yes still no update here )
MID # PN07110
software number: 1.36.599.1
That's weird. I'd try a factory reset and see if it comes back. Other then that idk
Maybe the phone was used and the previous owner deactivated TV? Can you find it in Settings - Apps - All as deactivated?

It's not used bought it brand new sealed box and everything. Checked under all apps and its not there...this is really weird cuz it seems to only be my phone that didn't come with it :S
anyway i found this apk on the forums here with the tv app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40949629
Can someone confirm if it's legit?
and all i need to do is download the apk to my phone and install it and it would work?
or is there somewhere else i can find the apk?
Same Problem And No Solution...
I got my HTC one 2 weeks back since then waiting for an update of 4.2.2 but it is not coming and there is no tv app installed in the app drawer...
My question is: Is it due to our MID and Software numbers... do they tell us something?
Mine is the same as the original OP: MID # PN07110, Software number: 1.36.599.
Maybe change your CID to HTC_001 or 1111111. I think your country's carrier might have blocked it. Each CID has a slightly tweaked rom.

Hey I got my HTC one yesterday.. same MID # and software number and 4.1.2, and I have the exact same problem.
Do you know how to fix it yet?
Why not just ask the retailer where you light it before tampering with the phone or call HTC.

Had the same problem brand new device received last week from ebay, HTC One M7_U CID HTC_332 with software x.xx.599.x
This Phone CID is apparently linked to American Latina region and does not include Sense TV, HDR functions in camera app and many languages pack are missing.
What I did to resolve my problem (with help from xda members)
1-Unlock your bootloader: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuIq0gmYpFA (xda official video)
2- Install twrp recovery + Root your device: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EE6F-4KjR9I
3-Gain S-Off with Revone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582
4- Change you CID (HTC__332) to supercid (11111111) 8 times 1 (fastboot oem writecid 11111111) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317536
change your MID: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2322820
5-Download and run that RUU: http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1822-ruu-m7-ul-jb-50-htc-europe-1284017-radio-4a13323127-1031113105-release-310878-signedexe/ more info on this page on how to run RUU: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874 At this point you device is now stock as an international device with Sense TV.
6-Change you CID again to obtain OTA update: Change you cid (previously super cid 11111111 to HTC__001) (thanks to Guich xda member)
7- Relock you bootloader (to obtain OTA): fastboot oem lock
8- update your device from OTA updates
9- enjoy devices and re-install twrp/root if needed!
****** NOTE THAT THIS WORKED FOR ME, I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR DEVICE **********
So I'm no stranger to running RUU's on my device as the amount of times I have changed from Sense to GPE is ridiculous. However I have been thinking about getting the M8 so went back to stock sense, locked everything back up and put S-On. When I turn the phone on everything is fine as normal, and it starts receiving ota's, however it wont update past 4.3. Does anyone know if there are any issues with the HTC ota's for HTC__001? It also won't go past with super cid, yet when I unlock and S-Off again I can convert it to H3G__001(not what it should be but I am with the 3 network) it updates absolutely fine to sense 6, 4.4.2.
If anyone knows anything that might shed some light it would be most appreciated.
Thanks.

That is very strange, got to be something to do with the HTC Servers, however, are you trying to update with super cid or with HTC__001 ? I ask as I e noticed that super cid isn't in any of the android info txt files for the 401 updates, I've returned to stock a few times, and never had any problems, but I always start from the 401 kitkat ruu which is 4.19.401.9
Thanks for the reply, I've used both Cid's in the past and both have updated to sense 6 no problem. The only reason I go back to such an early RUU is to S-On as after 1.28 if you try and S-On your phone becomes a paperweight.
Possibly a server thing I guess, but thanks again.

no it doesn't become a brick, unless your using a modified firmware and then you should never s-on, what happens is after HBOOT 1.55 I think it is which will be 3.62.401.XX, if you s-on past that then you get the ***TAMPERED*** flag back.
Ahh ok thanks for that, always good to learn something new.
