Hello,OK so my gtp1000 has been rooted and flashed to cm9.1, performance is fantastic but my tab heats up pretty quick and sometimes the tab shuts down without any warning. Any fix for this?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
Install CPU spy and see if your tab has deep sleep.
Then post back.

OK now I'm using cm 10.1 with touchwiz and installed CPU spy and right now deep sleep is at 44%....what does it mean?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
Hmm.. Wrong hunch. I thought your overheating is caused by some wakelock at high speed.
The fact that you get deep sleep means unlikely that.
Have to let others chime in.
How about baseband and IMEI? Normal?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
OK how to check that?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
In the settings, about phone/tablet. You look for baseband, should be JPZ or some sort. Not UNKNOWN.
IMEI is also there in Status, should be 35xxxxxxxx not 0049xxxxxxxx or UNKNOWN
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
OK both my baseband and imei are unknown my tab is a gsm one so what to do now? How to fix this?

Recover the /efs from backup or restock and make a copy of your imei.

My P1000, flashed from restock to cm-10.1-20130614-HumberOS-p1, became hot after 5-10 usage minutes and is unstable from first minute.
Logcat and kmsg before a sample crash (browser in this case) and last_lmsg after the reboot.
Somebody have same problems? How can be fixed?
Yeah, restock and fix the IMEI issue first.

Hi guys,
Maybe some of you have experienced this before, when I put my note away the screen of it gets lit up as if there was an app keeping it from sleep mode. But this happens even right after I have terminated all apps and processes. So technically barely anything runs. I think it might be a software issue? Any ideas please?

Install the CPU spy.apk (Play Market). This app will tell you if your phone is in deep sleep.
can u post the battery stats
open your battery, wait 10 seconds, reassemble and turn it back on... if you're still facing the problem, install and run CPU Spy from Play Store and see which app/service is keeping you phone from sleeping and uninstall that.
It's probably a kernel wakelock
Will try the CPU spy application now. Will post my findings.

How exactly is this app going to tell me which app is keeping my phone awake? Don't see such a list of them just frequencies.

Should I be looking at these processes that are possibly waking my phone up? So far I don't see how this app is solving my problem.
Thanks so much

this l2_hsic wkelock is mainly caused by unplugging the charger without unlocking the lock screen. or unplugging when the screen is black.
Its a known bug
shutdown ur phone., pull out battery, wait for 10 secs., reinsert and reboot. The wkelock should be gone. test again with betterbatterystats

Thanks. Will try that!

There are several processes that are there, unfortunately not only one that I could just spot.

Sometimes while using my tablet, the screen suddenly "shifts" out of place: http://imgur.com/a/94hr8 Sometimes it also gets "corrupted": http://imgur.com/yErJp.jpg The tablet works normally when this happens, and it responds to touch at the correct position(i.e. touch doesn't change). It doesn't show up on screenshots. I haven't noticed it being "linked" to anything specific, and it's always done it. Turning the screen off and on again returns it to normal. Why does this happen? Is it solveable? I've tried googling around but nothing.
Thank you.

maybe you can post more details on your device
which rom? which cwm.....
It is completely stock 3.2, only rooted with a zip I flashed from stock recovery. I'm pretty sure it did that before rooting, though.

It sounds hardware related and nothing you'll be able to resolve. Are you still under warranty? If you are I'd take it in.

I only encountered wifi problem once. After rooting my phone, I couldn't access play store but it was easily fixed by rebooting the phone. In regards to your issue, I think it might be your wifi connection. Play store does have issues every now and then but not right now.

Hi! I just got my hands on a S3 LTE edition! i9305.. And the baseband shows unknown.. and there is no imei.. i have no backup of efs or imei from before.. its my freinds phone.. so is there anyway to fix this? It also reboots every 5 minutes.. if there is anyone who knows.. would be great to know..

Anyone knows?..
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
well with no IMEI there isn't much you can do..that is store on a separated chip on the motherboard of the phone...IMEI is unique to all phones...with no back-up you need to change that chip or entire motherboard...as for the baseband it's easy...flash firmware for your country from samfirmware.com
with no imei the baseband will not show up,,, take it to a service center or ask your local phone repair store
Anyway to create a imei file an enter the imei under the battery?.. it all happenden when i lost it in water for a little while.. reboots every 5 minutes and no baseband or imei.. any other solution than giving it to a service center?..

You dropped it in water...
Unless you quickly remove the battery and leave it sitting in rice for a few days straight afterwards there is nothing you can do.

In my case .. I leave my phone without the battery and battery cover on top of wifi router ( air hole side up) over night. And flashed stock based custom rom and worked for me... hope it will help
Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda app-developers app
Yes that can work. But unless you take out the battery as soon as it gets wet then it's all over
