Hi All,
im kinda noob in upgrades, so i followed the lg pc suite to install the next version of OS, after everything went smoothly, while updating suddenly it threw an error saying upgrade failed check USB connection and turn on phone again etc.
i did that it went to software upgrade screen but , its like that for 1 hour now, no updates. any help on what im doing wrong would be appreciated.
PS: not using KDZ or any other tools only LG pc suite.
please help meng
1. First go to Settings and USB Connections and Tick LG Software.
2. Then install on PC the USB Drivers for LGEP880.
3. Then open LG Mobile Support Tool or LG Pc Suite.
4. Connect Phone with PC using USB.
5. Now it should appear "NEW UPGRADE AVAIBLE" click on Upgrade.
6. Wait and get some Ice Cream

Actually i did via LG pc suite but it got crashed, so got a s/w upgrade screen without anything happening,
but LG support tool did the trick.

hi guys, i got this problem, when i connect my phone to the pc, it dosen't find the drivers and i cant update my phone, can u help me? i've have adroid version at 2.2.2 and my software version is V10C. i've already tried a lot of way but no one works...
Download the drivers and software in LG website. Install it in your PC.
And turn on usb debugging

check if platform modem is enabled in peripherals manager while phone is pluged
Try deleting drivers of lg and reboot pc and reinstall again and
If you have not installed the lg Driver in past it is must be installed

in some rome which is based on lg official version it will update but it will make your phone with lg official rom
in case you are using cm 7 or other which are not lg rom officialy as base it will not update.
but if update in case of custom rom based on lg official rom you will lose root etc.
you will have latest lg official rom
Another question are there a special dricer for OB with cm7
And hiw can i install the adb dricer?

Nope. There isn't. Its the same. Its stilk Android... and there is no need for an adb driver. You can root the easy way with THE BIG NOOB HOW TO! thread in OB General Category.

Have flashed my p970 with korean V30I yesterday, but am not able to connect to PC Suite. Actually I wanted to restore my backedup data(Contacts and Memo),
If anyone was successfully able to make connection with PC Suite 4, please explain. :crying:
Software version that I had before flash: v20G-India
PS: One thing I have tried, installing "Republic of Korea"'s Use Drivers, but still no connection possible, then reverted back to P970 Driver.
Of course you can't,in the first place LG does not recognise any other firmwares above v20s.And the ICS ROM is unstable and can't connect to computer

I tried it a lot of times,no avail.If you really want to connect to PC,go back to gingerbread or use official CM10

Pls help me... last night i try to update my thrill 4g to gingerbread via LG support tool but when it starts updating it says connection problem between pc and mobile nd was stuck first on 16 then says that remove ur battery and plug in back,I do this but again it stuck on 20 then again stuck on 17 i used difffrnt cables and diffrnt ports but no help and my mobile only vibrates when I turn it ON... Try to uninstall all lg tools. And reisnstall them. There is one operation, I believe it is when you install the drivers that requires a reboot of your pc. If that doesn't work check out acidhazardrom.

hello i have updated my rom throught download mod..
and now in the new rom i can't connect my phone..
the computer can't see it, and also i can't to connect the phone throught the download mod, SmartFlash not recognize it.
i dont think this is problem in usb driver because i already tried to instal a new one.

Get TWRP Recovery or CWM and flash an other ROM. Ask me if you need some help for that.

Since he probably has ICS this is a bad idea... better try a factory reset and see if it works then. If not, maybe try another USB port or another PC, if you can.

Hej ppl, first of all, I must say my english is bad sorry for that.
Now, I have a problem. When I connect my 4X HD to pc, on pc suite shows that the new sw is available.
I do everything just fine, pc suite download sw, and when upgrade process start, it stop on 1% ... I tried to wait, even 1 h .. but nothing
help !
Try downloading lg mobile support tool and connect your phone trough that,
Its alot easier and i think faster
if that doesnt work it might be either your Internet or try again on an later time
If you really want to update yo jb then try manual download and flash the kdz, u will loose everything but you will have jb

Turn it off, then hold vol- and connect to USB. You should be presented with a screen that says "software upgrade, please wait while upgrading"

Just download and install, it should install the right drivers and do the hard work for you
