[Q] Solution for /data/media ? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After upgrading from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 Does anyone know how to completly remove the /data/media and only use the /data/media/0? Cause each time when flashing it gets kinda annoying ( not a big deal though). Ive tried looking everywhere, but cant seem to find the 'appropriate answer yet'!

Same problem

G1 Freezing A Lot!

Hey, before i post this question, i will have you know that i searched first and found one post similar to mines but there was no confirmed solution to it. Anyways, My friend has a rooted g1 and out of no where, his phone started to lag alot and freeze up. Especially when he would open up to use his physical keyboard. He tried 3 different roms, they all have same results. He even tried unrooting using dreamimg.nbh and same problem.. any suggestions would be helpful.. Thanks in advance!

Back up your data and format the card, restore the files and wipe/flash the Rom.
Has fixed some issues I have had
Try another SD Card if the above does not fix it, it might be going bad.
Legend221 just curious but wat issues were you having?

Sounds like XFJM6 with CFLagFix (not sure if any of the other lagfixes have the problem but the chances are, they do)
Use XWJM6 instead and you will have no problem with the lagfixes.

Need the touchscreen firmware

Hi guys. Fist of all, sorry for my bad english.
I bricked my phone's touchscreen, with update firmware in the *#*#2663#*#* and its wrote 'update failed' . My bad, dont do this. Dou you know any solutions? I tried factory reset, flashing roms ( froyo and gongerbread too), but nothing helped. The touchscreen stopped responding. But i think, if i can reflash the touchscreen firmware, it will working. It is possible flash the touchscreen firmware from sd card? Actually where are the files of the driver in the file system?
Can we explain, what happened actually when click on update on the tsp firmware screen? Which application/ script started? I thinks, the touchscreen files are in the tsp ic, which is separated from the flash, so just flashin a new rom dont write data to the tsp ic. But the files must be in the rom too, because some people did the update without problem, and the firmware version is changed, and the touchscreen works better then before. Do you have some ideas? If you have root acces, please browse the system folder, i thinks there is somewhere a "tspupdate" or similar named shell script/application what i need. But dont run it, it can brick your touchscreen too!!!
Sorry for my bad englis.....

How did you solve it?
Yeah! How did you solve it? I currently have the same problem on my Bell's Vibrant. I also tried reflashing my Gingerbreak and factory reset without any success.
You don't know what you got til it's gone! Back button is really useful!

is just being a greedy attention whore?
THIS MAY MAKE THINGS WORSE, BUT SOME DO NOT CARE. DRAGONS AHEAD....
Either way hoarding knowledge is a big peev of mine. I have read about this issue from as many google'able places as possible. I started reading after I went thru the release notes from some of the sX series. I notices that some carriers listed ghost/glove tsp firmware update/support. I also noted as the original poster did, that the files are in the rom. I would guess look thru all the updates your carrier made available and download the specific whole rom update and factory restore / apply it. Should this not work look thru the system folder for the file. When you have it copy it to your sd card where the tsp update screen tells you to put it. Try running the update again.
If this works please confirm this.
I think possible looking in system folder I recall a firmware folder possibly inside lib or modules somewhere.
I read that tsp modes are controlled from, so logically the files should be nearby.
/sys/class/sec/tsp
or depending on phone/model
/proc/touchpanel
I will keep an eye here, I am busy with some debricking and roms in general.

I guess.......and next time when you wanna root etc. just have the patience and read everything that is written here.
Never the less some phones are more durable in that matter ( i don't know why ). Some phones are like butter, 1st attempt and you are rooted. And with another you sweat like a pig and even then you can't do it right
well
Well,
I hope it'll get better
thanx
Before bringing your phone to service you could try:
- a factory reset. Maybe the unsuccessfull rooting attempt has messed up something you can fix this way.
- flashing a RUU and see if the issue remains. This usually sorts out...

Weird startup

Hey Im pretty sure someone has posted something about this here somewhere but cant find it, ok so I flashed cm11 with a older recovery I think it was cwm at the time and it didnt work out so well but i did get the phone running again but now whenever I restart the phone it comes up with a random multi coloured screen like my lcd is broken but it isnt, can anyone tell me how to fix this so it goes back to the way it used to be or point me in the right direction ??
