I istalar ise with cwm zip in and knew nothing of the boot.img or anything I was doing the recovery on htc samsung but not anything
So to get the boot image from the rom unzip the zip file and fund the boot image then copy it to the folder where your fastboot is then type fastboot flash boot boot.img after connecting your phone which should be in fastboot mode which is accessed through the bootloader. Then go to your recovery and flash rom zip again.

It looks like you are trying to use CWM as your recovery, highly recommended not to use that recovery with the Holiday variants. Use either TWRP OR WCX recovery.

Ok since your phone is s on, youll have to extract and flash the kernel of every rom you wish to flash before you flash it. To do that just restart your phone into bootloader and in your computer open an command window. Type fastboot flash boot boot.img and then flash the rom from recovery and before flashing any rom remember to wipe data, cache and davlik cache.
It is a process similar to how you'd unlocked the bootloader. While your phone says s on in the bootloader you have to repeat these steps each time you flash a Rom. Also in the case of the flash cm10 GAAP must also be flashed immediatly after, therwise the cell will give you problems.

in my experience I would use wcx recovery it's very reliable and it will flash 90 percent of all roms. I use to use wcx rom but he shut down due to a illness. Imo that was the best stock rom with tweaks

Instead of spamming the CWM 3 thread I figured I'd open up a new one. What I'm doing here is rebuilding the ClockworkMOD updates pushed over ROM Manager into fastboot flashable recovery.img files. These are for S-OFF users ONLY. If you're S-ON check ROM Manager for a compatible version.

Works for me! Awesome, thanks!
Hi guys,
What's new with cwm5?
Is it possible to flash radio zip like cwm2 and cwm3 zip like ogo rom.
It's faster, blue and has a new format for backups. Any zip that didn't work with CWM 3 won't work here either.

What version of CWM were the backups made with? And what error does it give when it fails?
CWM 4.0. It always gets stuck on HTC boot screen when trying to restore.

Hi there,
I've used for a while with AT&T ROM without any problem.
Successfully rooted and CWM installed.
I tried to flash my phone by this ROM using CWM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2171741
However I failed. My phone didn't work with it.
Now, I cannot go into my CWM anymore. Although I reinstalled it.
I still can access to Bootloader. Select Recovery but it showed some scripts then it couldn't go further.
Anyone can tell me how to fix it?
I am frightened now since my phone is nothing more than garbage now I cannot do anything with my phone
Thank you so much
You're gonna have to relock your bootloader and run the RUU then unlock your bootloader to flash your recovery again, then you'll be able to run your recovery again. Also if you're S-ON, you have to extract the boot.img from the rom you installed and flash it before you install the rom, otherwise the phone won't boot.
Download another recovery to your computer...
Go into hboot... go to fastboot... connect via USB
Fastboot flash recovery (recovery name)
Reboot bootloader... choose recovery

Hello,
I did the way you said and it worked!!
Thank you very much.
Note: I think the ROM I flashed had some kind of weird code that led to the problem.
I used AT&T edition for my Bell Canada phone. RUU said failed during the process, however, that's when I reinstalled my CWM and it works again!
Thank you everyone for helping me with this question!

Ur welcome and like do what ringfool said CWM doesn't play well with this device. I personally use WCX but switch recovery cuz most of the time roms flash with errors is because of the recovery.

Yes! CWM really works badly on HTC Holiday.
WCX really rocks! It shows everything precisely and large enough to look haha.
Most of ROMs can be flashed using WCX. CWM cannot open some
TWRP for the win...Is that redundant? Flashed it last night, works flawlessly with the cm10 rom
Someone needs too post a really big sign somewhere in these forums that says DO NOT USE CWM I have seen at least 5 guys in the last month getting screwed because of it.

I've installed the CM 10.1 to my vivid, I flashed the boot.img using fastboot usb, and installed the rom via TWRP 2.4.4.0. before any install i used the all the wipe functions im suppose too.
When it finally boots it works for like maybe a 1 sec and then reboots. What did I do wrong?

Use wcx recovery in version 2.2 of hasoons toolkit. Wipe system, dalvik, cache, data, and do a factory reset all in wcx recovery then flash the rom then flash the correct gaps for cm10.1 or android 4.2.2 then go into the bootloader (advanced option) then flash the boot.img (fastboot flash boot boot.img)

Your device mobo is probably going bad and needs more power than usual to run it. Sorry. If i can get linux to boot I'll send a kernel your way to flash and see if it fixes the problem
Try overvolting the CPU, with an init.d script, that should stop it freezing up, init.d because you won't have a chance of doing it with an app

Hi All,
First Off.. Let's agree that we don't have a working recovery for our Xperia ZR that works on locked bootloaders Lollipop,
I've tried all the methods even the one provided by zxz0O0 - Thread - and nothing worked though..
So here is the only way i've managed to have working Xposed on locked bootloader Lollipop :
Tools needed
New Flashtool with XperiFirm Integrated / SuperSu Zip / xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip / ZR Locked Dual Recovery 2.8.15 Installer / PRFCreator.
FW 10.5.1.A.xx just to have working recovery (temporarily).
FW 10.6.A.0.454 : This is the one we're going to customize.
Pre-Start :
open PRFCreator
In the FTF File : choose the 10.6.A.0.454 which been downloaded before using XperiFirm/Flashtool.
In the SuperSu Zip : choose the SuperSu-Zip.
The Important Part : In Extra Zip : add the "xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip".
check all options : Include (kernel, FOTAKernel, Modem, LTALabel) , and also Sign zip.
Now click on create and leave it till it finishes.
Lets Start :
Whatever ROM you're on now, Don't Forget to Backup !
Copy the created "flashable-signed" to your external SD-Card (we will use it latter after having working recovery)
Now flash the old FW 10.5.1.A.xx using Flashtool
After booting successfully, go to settings>about> tap build number 7 times to enable developer options.
No go to Settings> Developer options> enable usb debugging.
Root the current ROM and install Recovery using "Locked Dual Recovery" Method 3 (towelroot method), if it doesn't work like what happened to me, then root the ROM using KingRoot apk, and then install Recovery using "Locked Dual Recovery" Method 1 (superSu) it's gonna work.
Now after having working Recovery:
Boot into recovery.
Wipe everything (Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache, Format System).
Flash the "flashable-zip" from External SD-Card, wait it until it finishes.
reboot.
NOTE : if you got bootloop, pull the battery and re-boot the device, now it should work.. you'll be getting andoid is upgrading (First boot is going to take a lot of time).
DONE
After successfully booted to Rooted LP, you have to install XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha2.apk on your device to install Modules and tweak your device.
If you guys have any questions feel free to ask in the thread, also if there is any easier method please provide.
Thanks
tested, it's working fine, thanks

Hi xgerardox
it seems like you're placing the Files in a long directory, ie : D:\mobile\xperia\xperia zr\lollipop..etc
So maybe you can try to make a folder in a root local drive to be like "D:\lollipop", it should work properly.
