Google Talk is Google Hangouts

Oh really? Because SO MUCH has changed since they have just redesigned and renamed the whole app. You would be happy with it if it was still called Talk.

Even I hate hangouts
So I stopped myself from updating it!

Yeah, it's quite different. You can revert to the old version by finding the app in settings - apps - all, then uninstalling updates.

I think this might not be a Sprint thing, but instead a Google Wallet app issue. Might be because the phone is so new and may not have passed testing yet. I would expect an update to fix this soon.

It's funny you say that. Every time I go into a 7-Eleven or McDonald's, I whip out my phone and pay with Google Wallet, and every single time the person behind the counter is like, "What'd you just do? Did you just pay with your phone? How'd you do that? Yaddie Yaddie Ya"
Blowing people's mind...
Ya, its worked fine on my evo lte and s3 forever. Sprint does not block it so I'm sure a simple build.prop edit would get it working until they get the device supported

I got wallet working on viper Rom. Working on thread in app section but need a build.prop from a stock rooted using the wp fix kernel. Some pm me if you have it
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
sure hope a support is granted fairly soon. i used google wallet all the time with evo lte and i'm missing it quite a bit. according to a sprint rep i spoke with prior to purchasing the htc one, it will be supported so it's only a matter of time.
if not within a timely fashion, i guess a mod to the build.prop should suffice. i remember doing this when the evo lte wasn't officially supported.

This is the only app that I've encounters thus far that gives me an issue. On another note I would like to know if there is anyway to change the dpi?

But if you run it at 182 before you know it you will have to run all you're ROMs at 182 its addictive lol

Ha, I normally don't make that kind mistake, I literally rolled out of bed and replied to the post.. Lol anyway, I used your rom on the galaxy nexus and loved and actually kept the stock dpi but on this phone even with swift key at the maximum height it's still too small for my fingers to be accurate.

How easy has Motorola made it for customs ROMs?

Hello
Ive seen a couple of leak pictures of a Droid 5 and Im intrested but only if it has a unlocked bootloader and if custom ROMs can be flashed. I wanted to know how is this going in the new Moto X phone now that Google is involved.
Thank you
New boss same as the old boss. Still locked down in the US on AT&T and VZW.
It is not the manufacturer who is the problem with locking down the bootloaders. It is the carriers that are requiring it. Motorola wants to sell the phone, AT&T and VZW say well you have to lockdown the bootloader if you want to use it on our network. So Motorola says alright. Thats why they will offer a Developer Edition, because if you buy the phone outright at full price, AT&T and VZW are unable to control it.
But on the bright side, the T-Mobile version will not be locked down per Motorola as far as we know. So there may be a chance to find a factory restore image for T-Mobile and push it to the AT&T model and resolve this issue.
I currently am using an LGOG from AT&T and while I was able to unlock it, there were alot of kernel issues at first with the phone due to LG. But we were able to flash the Nexus 4 factory restore image via the LG software and basically have an Nexus 4 and be able to use any of their roms. Just wait for it to get popular and get some Devs behind the phone.

Patiently waiting as well. I dont like the stock HTC Sense with all that extra bloatware.
There is one over in the Verizon thread. If you just changed the partition numbers in the updater script there is a fairly decent chance it would boot on a Sprint variant.

Just made the necessary partition edits in updater-script and it was a success... The phone boots fine and everything but sprint data seems to be working (calls and texts are fine). I'm going to try to make some more edits to get this working, but if anyone could point me in the right direction that'd be great.
EDIT: Data is now working decently after swapping a few network related files.
EDIT 2: Still working on data since it only connects every few reboots... Trying to figure this verizon to sprint cdma conversion stuff out, so if anyone has experience feel free to chime in.
That's sweet. I would love to give it a test when you are ready.
