Hi,
I'm having trouble with my Diamond. When a private number calls, it gets dropped after the first ring, before I get a change to get then phone even out of my pocket?
Its really frustrating... and its starting to do it on number, unbarred numbers?
Has anybody seen anything like this before? It doesn't happen all the time, but its getting pretty consistent!
I'm running SwiftBL 5.6 and Radio 100.05.25
Please help!

yes, I'm experiencing the same thing too and I'm using the official 1.93 rom.
as far as I know, it doesn't only affect private call and the problem is very random.
What I notice is the phone will keep ringing until you press any button or the touchscreen to answer or mute the call and that's the time the phone will drop the call....hoping to find solution too....
I had the same problem with the HTC 1.93 ROM. Changing radios made no difference. Switched to Swift v5.6 and all is OK. BTW am in UK on Orange.
even with 1.37 rom, i'm also having the problem....wonder does anyone know what's the problem and solution....
I had this problem after I've tried to sort out the 3 sec delay problem... After a Hard Reset and not playing with the 3 sec delay problem everything is fine....

hmm....I didn't mess with that delay at all but still the problem is there...
Lay your phone on the table and try again.
Most comes with the problem in your pocket.
As soon as the phone rings the touchscreen is enabled and it drops the call because it thinks you pressed ignore.
This problem can be solved by s2u2.
I had the same problem and solved it with this program.
It blockes your touchscreen unless you slide it from left to right completely.
Grtzzzz
Yeah, thats exactly it I think... because its always in my pocket, but I have the HTC case, which by the time I've either take it out of my pocket or out of the case, the call has gone!
Does anybody have a link for that app s2u2.
I will try this... because I tried changing the ringer settings and all sorts, and nothing helped! All the iPhone and N95 guys are slagging me at work! Apart from that its by far the best phone in the office
Cheers for the help!
Will report back if I find that and app if it works!

definitely not due to that problem. Numerous time, my phone was not in my pocket but on the desk already. A couple of time when the phone ring, I pick it up and press the answer button(touchscreen and hardware button) but it just drop the call....haizzzz
No one else has this problem?
I'm getting exactly the same problem (I'm using the official Vodafone 1.93 ROM)...really annoying!
I am getting this problem too... anybody have a solution? Whenever a private number comes in, when i click on the answer tab, the call will just disconnect... this is very fustrating...
I also get this issue, always with a private number and sometimes with a stored number. At first I thought it was becuase I was touching the screen when I first took the phone out of my pocket but like someone else said this also happens when its on a table.
Any help would be really appreciated!!

Hi guys,
Wondering if anyone can shed any light on this....
I have two lines with T-Mobile UK, one on my LG O2X and one with a desire.
Now, my Desire has CM7 so I don't have this issue and I don't get the issue with cm7 on the O2X but whenever I use a stock rom on my O2X I get a number 1 in the notification bar.
A little research points to this being down to having two lines and in the phone options I can pick which line I want to use.
I've rung T-Mobile and they don't know how to resolve it. I asked if they could un-associate the numbers but they dodged that question.
Anyway, the 1 in the notification bar just wont go away!!!! There's no way of turning the second line off, just the option to pick which line I want.
Anybody know how to turn this off?
Could this be a simple code I can tap in on the keypad?? It's so frustrating because I can't have many notifications without them all bunching up!!!
Thanks in advance.
I'm having this issue, too.
But I don't have two lines on my SIM card. That's weird. I had a Motorola Milestone with stock ROM and I never saw a number on my notification bar.
Something has to be done on the SIM card to delete the line 2 info (in my case).
Cheers!
I have had the HTC One for two weeks now. Started experiencing the No Sim Card error yesterday. Happened 2-3 times per day.
Error:
The phone looses the network reception and displays "No SIM Card" error.
Apparently the HTC One X+ had the same issue (loose connection with the SIM Card), and putting a tape on the back of the SIM card fixes the problem.
I will try the tape fix when I get a chance, but is anyone else experiencing this issue?
No but I did on my HOX, on my HOX it turned out to be s symptom of a serious problem, namely a lose body which also caused the antennas to get squashed.
Does it happen only in a tight pocket, or also spontaneously? If you notice it mostly after you have taken it from your pocket, swap the unit. But if you cut the SIM yourself it could also be a see sSIM short. You could try a new SIM if you are otherwise satisfied with your one.
I'm also having this issue on the T-Mobile version. Forced to go in and out of airplane mode to fix it, I would believe it is software related

Same here. In/out of Airplane mode fixes. Seems to occur after holding (squeezing?) or time in a tight pocket.

Okay so I tried the tape fix, and it seems to have solved the issue. It doesn't show the No SIM Card error anymore. (before it would show the error twice a day)
However, when I restart the phone it doesn't pick up the network. Airplane ON/Off gets the signal back. This makes me think that this might be a software issue.
I had this happen today, also. I had my phone on the desk, sent a reply to an email and then this new icon appeared. When I pulled down the notification bar I saw NO SIM. I restarted the phone and have been OK since.
I was having this same exact issue when I first got this phone and when I had WiFi calling enabled. I disabled that and my phone has been fine since. That's the only thing I changed.

Applied the tape fix and no problems since.

I've had the same issue, started about Week 3. It usually happens when I put the phone down on a surface like a table or couch. Usually taking out the SIM and reinserting it works. Earlier today I just bumped the phone on my wrist and the signal came back. Seems like another quality control issue unfortunately.
Just tried the tape fix, hope it helps.
Fix for No SIM error on HTC One
I have a Sprint HTC One that was getting the No Sim Card Error, so Sprint told me to stick a paper clip in the little hole on the top-left side of the phone where the SIM card goes and there wasn't one in there. I went to Best Buy and got one for free, they just have to call your carrier and activate the SIM. Everything works fine now and it only took like 15 minutes. Hope this helps!
I am having a similar problem, only now it is happening more frequently. Today it happened whilst on a call! Very frustrating, I may just send it back for a new device.
hi
its hard to explain but after an update..not the last one but one before, when on calls does not matter if i make the call or someone calls me, i hear a funny sound the only way i can describe is like a metal door shutting in a warehouse now this at random times and random volume but always get it on every call.
i have never had it before and never had it on any other phone. i am on 3 network and it is unlocked. other then that the phone is still working fine and has been the best phone i had to date but this is really annoying now.
sure i am not the only one with this issue ?
many thanks
Don't stand so close to the warehouse
I'm on EE with the latest update and haven't noticed anything like that, was on 3 with the same update a couple weeks ago and had no issues either

lol funny no really it is happening anywhere. The only idea i had is that i have another sim-card inside from Bulgaria maybe if i take this out and see if there is any changes
I get the same thing on mine, quite frustrating. The other person doesn't hear it. I like your description, it also sounds like a sudden expiration of breath that fades out.

Any solution to this problem?
I have exactly what you describe. Except for the operator. I'm on Telia (Sweden)
Happened twice now.
Mobile network just stops, leaving me with the icon shown in the screen shots
Last time it happened I just powered off and back again..
On 371
L29
Anyone else had this happen?? Never happened before.
Could just be the age of the phone or the SIM card developing a fault but have never had a phone of mine go like this before.
Roll on oneplus 8 release, can't wait to get rid of the phone.
Use your sim on the second slot to see if the problem is fixed.
I had problem when i was talking on the phone the call would randomly drop out. this problem was more than a month and my sim was 1 year old. i cleaned the sim but nothing changed, when i used the second slot is working fine.

Must be the slot then.
I'm actually using a rebranded L09
So only one SIM slot.
It's been ok since the power off so will keep an eye on it.
Cheers

Ye it's been happening more frequently, happens when I go out of range, ie: basement and then come back..
Might just need a factory wipe..
@StatikBlue
And as luck would have it...look what just happened lol.
Going to leave it, to see if it comes on by itself or if there's any other way.
Edit: it didn't, cleaned the SIM tray, blew into the hole (like it was the SNES days) and I'll see how it goes.
That's the symbol for no sim card and/or faulty sim.
Unless the sim is actually faulty, the most common reason is if the sim is dirty, as the contacts can corrode slightly over time (the same as your chip & pin credit card can).
Give it a clean with a bit of cotton wool and alcohol, or failing that simply rub the chip with your thumb!
If it keeps happening, get a replacement from your carrier (usually free) & if it then keeps happening it's probably dirty contacts in the phone....
Had it occasionally with different makes of phone over the years so not just a Huawei problem & you'd be unlucky if it's a faulty phone.

Yea I'd done that pal. Seems to have been a poor contact, hasn't happened since.
I've never had this issue myself..

Ok so a removal, clean and blue into the hole has fixed it for me. Just an imperfect contact

Lol, just the SIM tray, pulled the sim, wiped over both..blew into the empty SIM hole.
Kind of like having a super Nintendo when you had to blow in it to get it to work
Ah now I gets you.
