Is there a way to retrieve missing music from the sd card. I had 1200 songs and I flashed to cm10 coming from wcx rom and all my music but 216 songs are there please help...

Make sure that you backup your stuff before flashing any roms. Saying that you can try the many different software on the internet used to retrieved deleted info.

I'm no nooby when it comes to flashing roms as I perform backups and wipes accordingly. I just can't seem to find if it's hiding. I checked the music dir. With no luck. I've searched the Internet with how luck. There just has to be a way...

If it was on your external sdcard then try connecting to the computer and then looking for hidden folders and look through all the hidden folders.

Didn't think of that lol thanks ill try that when I get off work. O yea so if I happen to find the hidden files can't I just copy them to the music folder on the sd card? My sense tells me yes lol

Yeah that should be the case.

Thanks again it's depressing to loose that many songs. Could it be when I run ccleaner it's erasing them cus there aren't any missing folders as they are all where they should be.

Well that is too bad. That is why i keep backups of my everything on two 3tb hardrives.

[Q] Transferring pictures to the SD card

How do I transfer pictures to the SD card? Can I do it on the phone or do I need to plug it into my computer?
Where are you transferring them from?

Well...my wife's Revo is getting a message called "Out of memory" when trying to install the update, and I'm noticing that her SD card is basically unused. So I'm trying to move the pictures from where they are saved (assuming they are in the internal memory) to the SD card.
The only way so far to fix is to do a wipe first. In one of the other posts there was an cache cleaner app to try but I don't know if you need root for it or not.

Randomly deleted apps

My d3 is randomly deleting app on its own. First it deleted xda and androirc, then the market update(lost new market, went back to old that shipped with phone) was deleted, third was droid forums app. Happened before and after rooting. 3 separate occasions. Any ideas?

Just now it deleted my google account. Went to call someone and none of my contacts are there.

Try moving all of your apps from Media Area to Phone in Manage Apps. The Droid 3 seems to not like apps being stored on the internal sd card.

I actually haven't moved any to the sd card. Good suggestion though. I didn't think of that. I welcome any more ideas.

Lol all nexus devices are the same in that they have no removable SD, quick Google search could answer this and maybe your next one. Try reinstalling and wiping data

I've been on kk for a while and I have not had this issue, though I think it only happened once, but it was most if my second hand media files, such as movies, music, roms. The folders were left intact with everything present except for the actual file I had downloaded. Maybe we are being spied on and someone is zapping our pirated files, lol. Everything of mine that vanished was obtained through questionable motives...lol

Happened to me twice but after flashing though, seems like ss "ate" the rom i flashed, along with the files in my internal sd.
