you have to post features, screenshots and what you used to port it. Noone is just going to flash a random zip unless they know what it is :silly:

So is the N1 going to get an offical CM9 port or is going to just be an unofficial one?
I've heard rumors saying it will eventually get official CM9. For now, though, use samuaz's CM9 build.
In high hopes that cm9 might be arriving anytime soon for our n1.
Fingers crossed

Well, there's a big difference in texasice ICS build and samuaz's CM9 build.

In the last "CM9 Progress Update" on the cyanogenmod website :
Our goal is to provide continued support to all CM7 devices back to the QSD8250 series of devices such as the Nexus One. I don’t want to make any promises at this time, but that is the plan.

So Nexus One should get an official release... but no ETA
Saw a lot of people posting about CM9 the past month, some were hoping it is official released or supported. It won't happen until awhile more for an official update. here's an unofficial build:
I just sync and built with the vivo device tree, only changes from stock CM9:
- kernel (kaijura) - without it: no panorama, updated kernel drivers, etc
- added usb
What may be fixed later or can be done:
- merge twistedumbrella's camera code to enable camera
- add rotating keys (st.matt)

Just tried the gapps 02 07 2012 version. Yep works fine so far for gmail, market and YouTube HD.
Following CyanogenMod 9 Blog from Cyanogen himself, he said a few words on the directions of the project:
http://www.cyanogenmod.com/blog/progress-on-cm9
So it seems like from what I understand what he says, we might not get official support for camera and video until the IncS HTC ICS release, which is supposed to be wayy later this year.

This is cyanogenmod team, so you get an idea of how far the cm9 team has progressed with ICS. Some people have been with CM since the old G1 days you know?
Yeah its definitely not a daily but it is pretty cool to check out. Once our phone has an official ICS ROM from htc you can bet cm9 will be official for vivo. It's more of a peek at what's to come. I swear by cm so if we don't get official support I would be amazed and disappointed.

People believe the target may be Qualcomm instead of HTC. There has been a long discussion on this at the DesireZ forums and lots of people emailed, you can read its progress here:

I updated the CM9 KANG build to Feb'18 2012. Lots of commits and fixes, too much to list. Some minor changes but getting more and more stable now.
In other works, I have also ported a very popular DHD ICS ROM Ice Cold Sandwich from the Desire HD section with permission from LorD ClockaN and some help from vampire36 who ported it to the Desire S.
So far, it works fine on release 2.0, it uses some sources from CM9 and community fixes.
But I need to tweak it a little to get it working smoothly, there are some minor things wrong with it and camera is not working right at the moment. If people are crazy about it I'll try to get a fully functional rom up sometime.
i hope all the bugs are fix the develop. i know its to hard to develop..
thnx to many developer...hooray.
Just flash the latest aokp rom its genius and i dont have any issues with it, its working even faster than the stock rom on my double speeded gt-p6200... have fun. By the way, there will never be a final ics on custom roms, there is always an idea to make it better ;-)

There is no such thing as 'bug free' buld that is why we always have new versions(builds) untill the dev team decides to move on to something new. Therefore I would imagine there won't be 'Final' ICS untill Android 5 (Jellybean) available and the dev team decides to move on to Jellybean (assuming many of us still sticking to our G-tab 7 and plenty developers still willing to crack one for us.)
However the latest builds of ICS are very stable and suitable for daily use.

Can the devs here on xda make this rom work again it's the cm9 by mujeni rom for desire c.
Ok I tested this Rom and it works! But there are some problems that have to be fixed like camera, Wi-fi, audi, cm9 ramdisk.
My question: Can you devs please fix this so we can run it on our phones please?
I really hope this phone can finally fully run cm9 without any problems in the future.

Hopefully i get some answers very soon
Haha, have you read the thread "how to resolve CM9 bugs?" Some devs are currently trying to port cm9 from htc pico.
No news yet, keep an eye on the thread

I think we'll be a while waiting for this to port to our phone .
We are desperately short of experienced developers for it. I'm thinking about learning how to do it as well but lets face it its going to take a bit for a load of beginners to get their heads around the problems
I'm the same as richard, i'm trying to learn "some stuff" but I dunno if some beginners will fix the problems fast. Maybe it will happen we need to wait a little more, for some new devs to come in
Waiting eagerly for it
i m waiting for it 2 ...just want it to run on my desire c
proper working cm9 on desire c =heaven :cyclops:
Hello everyone, I'm sort of a newbie in ROM building, and decided to compile ParanoidAndroid nougat for hammerhead. I followed the instructions from - https://github.com/AOSPA/manifest
Once I run ./rom-build.sh hammerhead, it runs for about 15 seconds before giving me the error in the screenshot attached.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Wow I just realised those guys are still dead. They release a new version every 2 major Android releases. ? Even amateurs Devs (compared to them) release ROMs far more often. A bunch of ?s.

You'll need some knowledge to compile it. You need to import some features from bullhead or angler and adapt it.. It's kinda hard especially if you're starting. I advice you to start building AOSP first and learn from that.

Yo you are so ungrateful, show some respect! The only clown is you.
You clearly know nothing about what you are talking about. The Dev's behind AOSPA want to bring a quality ROM, they don't want to rush thing to take a step back in the Custom ROM scene and bring a buggy ROM, so instead they take their time to come up with something nice and good (probably). How fast a Dev can bring up a ROM and update it tells nothing about the quality of the ROM. AOSPA was awesome back in the JellyBean and KitKat days, I'm sure their Dev team is working hard to get back on that level. Instead of whining about them being slow with releasing, you could give them some help or just give it some time and be patience to see with what they are coming up with.

It was my primary ROM for YEARS. There are other ROMs that cannot achieve their quality and yet I haven't encountered any bugs at all on those ROMs. How come?

Fair question, maybe it's because those ROM's you talk about made a decision between bringing quality or fixing bugs fast. PA probably goes for bringing a quality ROM instead of rushing on things to fix bugs and bring a "half work" ROM. Who knows? I guess we will see eventually
