Hi. I have heard that I need more than 60% battery do install a rom or else it will harm the phone..
But I did that today, i reinstalled Opganex-project below 60%? Has something bad happened to my phone now?
Is this really a question? Or a troll?

Well OK then my answer:
No, the juice in your battery has nothing to do with the flash process.
But keep in mind that you should have enough power. so your device doesn`t turn off during flashing.

There is no set minimum battery percentage you need to ensure a successful flash. As long as the battery doesn't die halfway through the flash all is good. Some people recommend 60% or even 80% because you know for sure that the battery won't die during the flash if the charge is that high. But I reckon even 20%, 30% is safe, unless you have a really old worn out battery that discharges really fast.
If you're below the "safe minimum" you can always keep the charger plugged in during a flash...
There isn't a minimum battery level needed, but if you dont have much battery left, your mobile can shut off and can lead into a bootloop

I got my O4X for two days now. But I've had this two times by now that my battery icon keeps saying 22% and it takes a long while before it goes on, any fix for this?

And how should I do that ? I know how to do it when I can get in the recovery, but not when it's not rooted or such. I'm also not planning to root it either.
Nevermind ! Found an app! Thanks!
:sigh: You can't calibrate the battery. Delete that app, it's crap. Charge your phone a few times and it will go away itself.

Ok :/
Normally it's pretty easy when you can get in the recovery , only don't want to do that just yet.

I know how it works, but it just annoys me that it looks like it's not moving on, although it is.

Hey XDA,
I bought a new (bigger) battery for the SGSA. But mostly when I wanna charge it. It says "Battery Removed". I don't now why because the battery just works and after a reboot it just charge???
New battery is:
2300mAh instead of 1500 mAh. The voltage and stuff are the same. Already checked that!
Somebody now how to fix this?
I'm not sure but maybe (just maybe) it could help deleting your battery stafistics.... you can do that via SDMaid for example... Could you please tell me where to find such a huge battery?
Sorry but I'm not used to Tapatalk and can't edit my post within the next 5 minutes...

Already tryed that.
Found it on Alibaba http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search...=&SearchText=samsung+galaxy+s+advance+battery
Then your battery might be faulty... I'd try a full reset of my phone then flash stock firmware again but I don't think that will work

But it is only with the phone standing on. When I putvit off and plug the charger in it works just normal.

Today batteries are much more than simple batteries... there are some chips in it that save the battery from overcharging and some stuff... on cheap generic batteries these chips may be broken or not even there...

If u open it, check if all the cables (if there are any...) or other contacts connecting the power button are working properly/are connected

I dont think repairing my mini is a good idea.Is 2 years old....I prefer from giving money to fix it buying a new phone but in 3-4 months,Thats why im searching for a way to completely disable power button to start deep sleep working...
Ah ok, thats ur decision
Hm, another option would be to try to cut the contacts of the button, but no idea what else could happen when doing this...

So i realise that there are a bunch of different threads on this already however non of which bring up the fact that the phone is still discharging with the screen on when plugged in. I have replaced the usb flex board in the phone. Tried several different chargers and the battery seems find (not bloated)
Any ideas anyone ?

Does your phone get warm while charging? There might be some apps that go heavy an your CPU. How is the deep sleep rate on your phone when it is not charging?

Yes tried 4 different chargers all do the same thing. I can only put this down to the battery. I'll try another one and another USB flex board.
Ok tried new battery and new usb flex both genuine samsung parts and still says discharging when the screen is on. Could i have mucked up the root or something?
curious to see if anyone has heard of or tried this:

yeah, that's what I thought as well - what's the point? it's almost like bricking the device...
@janjan Could you please kindly have a look if you have time? https://github.com/AsteroidOS/meta-swift-hybris/issues/1
I ran it for a minute just for fun.
It's extremely snappy but yeah, no sensors or bluetooth so...its basically a normal watch you have to recharge lol
I used it for a day. It had a great battery life thanks to the lack of Bluetooth I would keep an eye on it as it looks really promising but yeah it's not ready yet. It does what it can in a great way
We need this to work, Android OS 2.0 it's the worst thing ever build...
