Ok, I think Jelly Bean Update will not come, see the last GB Build " June 4" they are only working with GB.
Now we can post here any news about the JB update and dont spam another thread...

if there is update it should come very soon.. almost year since 4.1 came out, still no update.. lol
Last GB build date is 03.04.2013, which is maybe promising, isn't it?
Making GB builds in 2013 should be illegal in Samsung...but the carriers knows better.
samsung will ignore our device and start to build key lime pie for other device. maybe there is ics update but not jellybean

Beam got JB
Actually it said that official samsung update will be out around the end of next month, so probably jena will get updated around there, IF it get JB..
Nice news, its build date is from June 1st.
But Beam has the same hardware as Ace 2, sans the projector. And Ace 2 got JB some time ago.
That update for the Beam was leaked by Sammobile, so it didn't receive the update officialy yet.
That means that probably Beam will be the next device to get JB. Then will be the Galaxy S Duos and finally the Mini 2. Or maybe the mini 2 first and then the S Duos...
So I think we will see the update at the middle of summer.
If there will be an update, of course.

"Any day" is a pretty flexible concept. If it'd be Huawei we're talking about (u8800 - lovely phone but Huawei's support was totally lacking credibility), we'd get one more beta and then an announcement "no can do, device is no longer supported."
Anyway, our devs and fans here are giving their best and making things happen. I suppose stock based JBs work pretty well already, at least Utacka's ParanoidAndroid works great! Don't know if there's going back to stock roms after it. It pretty much gives the user experience I would have wanted to have from the beginning on my Note...

I'm one of the unlucky people waiting on the Retail GB update. I bought about as soon as it was available, so I'm a little annoyed this particular model is the last to see Jelly Bean.
Anyways, for those of you who are already running JB, did the update break anything that was previously working? I don't care so much about new features... I just want to make sure all of the old ones still work properly!
Android updates seem to have a nasty habit of breaking things that previously worked just fine.

First of all, if Samsung wanted to build something for us, they'd already have done. We have been through 2.3.7, 4.0.3, 4.0.4, 4.1.0, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2.1, 4.3 and Samsung didn't do anything for us. What makes you think that they would develop 4.4 for us, as long as it must require a lot of hardware specs. And even if samsung wanted to build something for us, they wouldn't do it because of Broadcom. But, if we receive Broadcom drivers, then it's a whole different story.

you wrote that before some times...but you still here with a XT and not have a Nexus5, why is that? Whats the problem selling your T and buying a cheap Nexus :silly:
I wrote this in another thread and I'll repeat here. I think we will get 4.3 update, most probably. This is an strong phone still, and it would be really surprise to see it dead and forgotten, regarding updates. Sony should be blamed for shortening this phone's flagship life to the minimum, and therefore slashing sales to minimum too. You can hardly see anyone carrying T around.
One more thing to say is... I really like this company, and their products. And I often find myself defending them even when I shouldn't. I was frustrated with terrible ICS update for Xperia Arc, but going away from Xperia was no option even then, so I ended up with T.
But honestly, if they leave this phone to dust, with no more updates, I will seriously consider changing my phone manufacturer with my next phone. Logical choice will be Nexus obviously, and never Samsung.
But let's wait and see...
