I have successfully gotten root access on my samsung exhibit 4g via zerg method but i tried to flash the recovery image(both cwm and twrp) and both failed. i tried both flashing from recovery and pushing the recovery.img through the android terminal and those did not work. The flash through the stock recovery came up with "E: Signature Verification Failure" errors and the terminal method didn't come up with errors but did not apply it when i went to the recovery. I would really appreciate some help btw it's the original exhibit with 3 buttons.
Everything in this forum is for the Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G-T679. Not sure where you can get help with your phone.

I thought they were grouped together, the galaxy exhibit root method worked for it so I thought the ROMs and recoveries would too

Zergrush is not phone-specific. ROMs and recoveries are.

and followed the guide regarding "Installing the ClockworkMod Recovery". all went well as per the instructions description but after the reboot device is now stuck at Galaxy Tab screen.
any fix for this?
also, i tried to access recovery and i can confirm that device has now CWM recovery.

For P1000N GB ROM, just flash Humberos kernel
It has CWM
http://www.humberos.com.br/2011/10/kernel-20111027.html
Just remember that for Galaxy Tab, recovery comes with the kernel.
Not like Galaxy S or Nexus or HTC phones.

Hi.
I've been trying to root my phone, Samsung Galaxy S5830 (not plus or Ace 2), I downloaded many root files and nothing worked, I used universal_gb_root_v25.zip, It shows Installation complete in CWM but the Superuser App doesn't show up. Also in Root Checker it says No proper root access. What to do ?
I have tried all the tutorials on XDA including these popular ones,

Is it a firmware problem ?

CWM Recovery
U should use stock recovery to root stock rom. But if u r looking to flash a custom rom, then u don't need root. Flash custom rom directly via cwm.

Flash your stock firmware back using odin through Download Mode. Make sure to backup all the necessary data before that. Goto Recovery Mode and install Root and then CWM. Finally reboot and you are good to go. Now flash any custom rom you want. Hope I Helped

NEED HELP ROOTING
Hi adnaanbheda,
Use this file, you can flash it with stock, CWM or TWRP recovery.
Okay guys so I just rooted my att note 3 that was completely up to date using the towelroot.com method found here. Stupidly of me I was trying to follow a thread to change my system language in build.prop but after doing that It ONLY boots to recovery / safestrap. After the safestrap screen I tell it to continue to boot normaly and all i get after that is a black screen.
Any ideas? Is it possible to flash safestrap from odin / heimdall / recovery?
Ive tried factory resetting from safestrap and recovery and that didn't change anything.
I not even sure I have safestrap at this point I can get into recovery, and download mode but it sits at the "Samsung Galaxy NOTE 3 [Unlocked Icon] Custom" screen. It wont actually progress to the safestrap.
Before I tried to edit that build.prop the root / safestrap worked fine all day today, restarted several times for different reasons and still worked afterwards.
I had no encryption enabled.
Via recovery -
"Android system recovery <3e>
KOT49H.N900AUCUCNC2"
**** This Worked ****
Possibly? this as a fix?
Would this be okay to use as a stock Kitkat firmware resource for an Odin flash?
Anyone have a N900AUCUCNC2 ROM or firmware I can flash?

i have the .zip files for it and odin 3
*it sounds to me like a bootloop or a softbrick, I would recommend using this odin 3 and flash the stock kk rom the one i have is the unofficial and is pre-rooted. but it works when i bricked mine repeatedly trying roms.

That'd be awesome if you could get that to me some how. I more or less have everything fixed but the wake-up after entering my pattern lock is ungodly slow so I'd like to possibly try a different one.

Since you are using CM 10.1, I would suggest you go for CWM 5. Here is a useful guide on how to go back from CWM 6 to CWM 5 by @Viper The Ripper,

That's odd because the apk is meant for S5830. It should be working. As for the Method 4, did you grant the root permission? su basically is used to ask for the Super User (root) privileges. Once you type su in Terminal Emulator, you need to grant it the permission so that the following commands can be executed.
Thanks other problem

I think your device is unrooted. Since you have already installed CWM, you will not be able to traditionally root your device. You have to always root first then install CWM. Anyway, backup all apps and data. You can flash stock rom back from odin and then re-install everything back. Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all necessary files (check the "Preparations" section),
How to Install Stock ROM on Galaxy Ace Using Odin [GT-S5830]
All Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 Stock Firmwares (2.3.X) Ever Released
If your PC cannot recognize the phone, its usually the drivers. Once installed, go to recovery mode and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace,

If you are gonna use CM 7, CM 9, CM 10 roms, then CWM 5 is more than enough. Even with CM 11 roms, one rom (KitKat for All) works quite well with CWM 5. Hope I Helped
Hello , can't describe how annoyed and mad I am right now.
Yesterday i soft bricked my phone trying to get xposed on my rooted android, BRICKED
Today got a phone to lend from my brother, tried to get xposed on it, BRICKED
The first phone is a note 3 which had a root but no custom recovery, the second one is a galaxy s4 with a root and custom recovery but i can't boot into my custom recovery. I could get into it when the phone was still on via rom manager and flashed the xposed zip file, but after installation of that file it got stuck on the samsung logo and now I cant into any recovery mode, when press the commands it show recovery mode etc in the top left corner but after that turns off (except when i release the buttons then it boots normally but gets stuck on samsung logo)
I did every step right as described in your threads but now im stuck with 2 bricked phones and have no idea what to do.
PLEASE help.
