thats part of the sense framework...... unless someone puts alot of hours in porting it i would doubt you can get it. just look for some similar alternatives out there maybe.

Yeah I knew it would be a long shot but worth a try , as far as Ik there's nothing even close to it out there anywhere

I'm in the process of attempting to port the one x's jellybean sense. I think if I can port the stock jellybean from there, I can probably port the sense 5 they have ported to there. I, however, am no expert and help would be gladly appreciated.

If you need to port sense to our device, you need to put lot of time in editing framework-res.apk it is very difficult... I don't recommend this porting for beginners..

I'm honestly not sure why it would require framework editing when it would be nearly identical hardware and the screen sizes/resolutions are the same or extremely close. I only know of the lib/kernel issues with sense's deep-dug roots.

Well, the only progress I've made is using a kernel that is .0.1 ahead of it and using a kernel for the same version ends me with a no go. Think you could share your experience and maybe pool resources to get ahead of it?

well, you dont need to change the kernel, you can use the existing kernel as will, what rom are you using as a base and from what rom you are trying to extract the sense? are you trying to extract sense alone or trying to port the whole rom?

I'm only attempting to do the AT&T One X, due to the hardware similarities. I don't think trying to port from the tegra would be a good idea. I was attempting to port this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2022785, using our stock roms as lib source and kernel source.

I tried AT&T stock and mexican retail stock for kernels. I have to use adb push while in recovery in order to get the files over. The best I got was a kernel boot loop back into recovery with mexican retail kernel.

Extracted the recovery zip made by skeevydude and copy/pasted them into the extracted files for the sense rom, then built and flashed our stock kernel through fastboot.

I think LG and Verizon just need to get that gingerbread to us. Don't just put out the esteem which is basically a replica and then make us wait.

new to all this, but figured out how to get a horizontal desktop using a home launcher. interested in taking it all a step further, but leaving it in more able hands, now that you have the hardware specs, how do you go about flashing the kernel? do you develop an apk file for the phone? or an executive for a desktop and flash pre-boot via USB?

This is important how?
Not asked sarcastically, as a beginner. This RUU is the stock loading tool? Can it be loaded and not lose root? These are the first two questions that hit me first. Is this the way to return the Dinc to stock form?
Yes, this is the way to return your Dinc to stock. Although I don't think it touches your S-off if your boot loader is s-off.

True. If you want this, but still want root, use Wildstang's rooted OTA. Like he said, he built if from this (or based it off this, mind my ignorance as I'm thinking it means the same thing).
After Running so many different Roms over the last year, if kinda feels good to stick with a stock rom for a while......with a few mods
Many thanks Football for keeping us up to snuff on the RUU's throughout the life of this phone. Much appreciated.

Do not flash roms from international forum

Sorry, but there seems to be a new post every other day about people borking their Sprint phones because they flash a Rom from the "HTC One" forum.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
-------------------------------------
ROMS from the international forums WILL mess up your phone and you will be lucky to fix it after that! I get you want the shiny new 4.2.2 but those ROMS will not --I repeat-- WILL NOT WORK ON THE SPRINT HTC ONE.
Sure, they used to, but once they moved onto 4.2.2 they will not flash.
I feel this should be sticky in every thread on the Sprint HTC One forum.

Would this be helpful to anyone? It's kind of on/off topic... A direct link to HTC's copy of the HTC One update for Europe?
And by a direct link, I mean an HTC URL?
I mean, the proof is in the pudding...by which I mean the constant stream of "bricked plz help" threads.
So all of these stupid people that aren't reading prior to flashing and you think they are going to magically read this? I really hope this prevents a few but I doubt it.

From what I've seen all the major ROM's say in some fashion or another that it won't work for Sprint so it's mostly people just not reading. Maybe they could make the font about it possibly destroying phones if you are on Sprint bigger...and flashing...surrounded by naked women. Then maybe people will see it.
Unless your a Dev or know what your doing I wouldn't flash non sprint things... I know the partition labels and boot.IMG stuff so I have gotten things to work but not for a noobie

Well theres really three easy ways to fix your problem.
1) buy a gsm htc one from tmo or att&t then you can flash those international roms
2)find rom that has all the mods you want and learn to theme and change to a stock enough look
3) learn to make and mod your own rom
Any one of those will solve your problem

HTC Vivid Custom Rom Flashing Problem NEED HELP!

Hey guys i just rooted my HTC Vivid and when i go to install a custom rom which was the CM10 Nightly rom it would get stuck on the cynagen boot logo. Also im using TWRP 2.6 just to let you know. I rooted with superuser 1.25. Thanks please if you can give me a step by step tutorial i would really appreciate it! If you can give me a custom rom link as well! Thanks!
Did you do a full wipe? Data, cache, dalvik all need to be wiped. Did you unzip the ROM and make a copy of the boot.img file and flash it in fastboot? Are you s-off or s-on?

Before posting an 'I have a problem' thread... You should read...
The boot.img and the WiFi drivers are linked... If you don't flash the kernel... Your WiFi will never work...
It says so on EVERY OP for EVERY ROM...

Alright rignfool. If you can still help me I would gladly appreciate it. I recently flashed the kitkat 4.4 rom and whenever I'm for example listening to music on this app called rocketplayer and I go to the homescreen it switches the music input from the headphones to the internal phone speaker. I also tried out a different app but it was the same problem. Furthermore, whenever I used the built in app which is apollo it says dsp manager has stopped working and then says you can blame the split screen. Ofcourse, the split screen isnt designed for the Htc Vivid that I have but how do i stop the problem that im having?
