S3 mini probably bricked - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everybody,
My friend owns a galaxy s3 mini in an attempt to root his phone he accedently bricked it. I don't know exactly how because he was being really stupid. I tried to flash his phone back to a stock firmware with a guide here on XDA, but it didn't work
I think he flashed a (custom) galaxy s2 firmware on his phone and totally bricked it.
When I boot up his phone It says Galaxy S2 and not s3 mini and won't boot any further.
Also his battery won't charge i left it on a charger all night, but it wouldn't properly charge and i could only leave it on for 10 minutes.
I put the phone with an old battery from my old Samsung Wave 525 in download mode. I flashed the Dutch version of the stock firmware and after it was done it would still only show galaxy s2 and not boot further
I don't think their is a solution but it would be great if their is one.

just flash it with an s3 firm XDD .

Brick my I9000

Hey guys, I need some helps of you.
I need get a brick in my Galasy S for make a change whit the adicional warranty. I bought a few years ago my Galaxy with an additional warranty, this warranty says if a have some problem in my phone after 1 year I can change my phone for a new one. But my phone work good and never I had a problem.
So how can I get a brick?
I thought flash a Rom in ODIN with the LagFix activated but I'll have a good result? or Flash a Rom for the Galaxy S2 in a Galaxy S?
Or what do you think?

For a brick you can also flash a stock rom and remove the usb cable at 50% or so.. Guarentee it wil be bricked xD

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830-D Help.

Hi, first off im a noob when it comes to this stuff so try to be patient with me
I recently rooted my SGAce S5830-D And put CWM on it, everything went fine.
Then I went to flash it to ICS 4.0.3 And the installation aborted and I soft bricked my phone >.>
I just flashed it back to Gingerbread 2.3.4 and I was wondering.
Is there a difference between Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and the S5830D in terms of what you flash it with?
Id rather not brick my phone again so I came here to make sure.
Also, if you could provide a link to a ROM that would work for my model that you know works 100% please do would be
very helpful, thanks in advance.
Galaxy Ace S5830 and S5830-D are very different models. You cant (and should not ) install S5830 ROM's on your phone. It will get brciked again.

Hi, you've done a wipe? You can try the following, extract this rar on your PC and start the Odin tool and place the file in PDA. But remember you have to be in download mode. Then start odin and I hope your phone starts. If not then post again ...

Hi, how did you get your S3 mini rooted? About the Busyboxinstaller from Google Play or through these rom? I took for me this rooted rom and beforehand performed a wipe. Everything works as it should. I have no problems.

Nope frist time i installed on Odin firmware for Galaxy s3 in Mini ....i not reed post sayd for galaxy s3 firmware 4.1.2 and i root s3mini with this firmware and when rebooted phone freeze ...Galaxy s3 mini Gt-18190
my original firmware was CNX on vodafone RO

Why did you get a branding of your S3 mini? You write the original firmware for your phone was CNX on vodafone? I`m sorry but at the S3 mini I do not know CNX ... But you can not take for a branded smartphone a unlocked firmware because we have no CWM.

I8190XXALJL/I8190CNXALJ4 is a Romania (Vodafone) firmware and that you were also on it before? A Romania version?

i buyed the phone in romania mall in vodafone and my sim is vodafone
....If the phone rooted ...i can unrooted? if not ....i will go to repair ... beacouse i have warranty 2 mounth

Okay but why you do not take this rom. As long you have not the L version of the S3 mini then is this rom fully compatible. Faria has included all languages ​​and therefore it is a European version with all system languages. I hope you understand me? For L version please take this rom. Both of them have full root.

Okay but you can not flash a rom for the GT-I8190L device on a GT-I8190 device. That does not work. Because was this version here I8190XXALJL/I8190CNXALJ4 of your S3 mini where you bought it or what was it?

With the video I can not though do much but tell me, which was the rom version you previously had on it. I mean after purchasing of your S3 mini??? That's what I would.

No problem. I found the last release of CNX. Here. Extract this zip on your PC and flash this with Odin. But before make please a wipe with Odin. Your S3 mini is after the starts hanging then you go back in the download mode and flash the CNX rom for your device. I mean the CNX version from this link here and I hope your S3 mini start.

reload the stock ROM for your region using ODIN
do a search on forums and you should find all the links and guides on how to do this

[Q] Unlock Bootloader SM-G730A

Hello Everyone,
Has anyone had any luck unlocking the bootloader for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini SM-G730A. I want to put another system on it but can't right now. I also want to use another carrier and can't do that either. Any help will be appreciated...

I did, but theres no other ROM made to put on it. d
Dont remember what i used but i do remember odin and framaroot but cant remember what else i used. I had it unlocked but found NO custom recovery for this fone and actually found 2 custom roms but neither one worked. Had phone rooted and unlocked then flased another program and lost root and locked the bootloader again. Crap, 3 days research down the drain. Challenging yes
but im just gonna keep using my Zenfone 2 with the CyanogenMod 13 Marshmello 6.0 as my main source of moding! stop wasting your time cuz it seems that noOne is working on custom recovery let alone custom ROMS for that old phone the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini SM-G730A. Too bad cuz its a solid phone that i have dragged around the world with me 2 xs. Samsung and AT&T both Suck.
Acually safestrap recovery was succesfully ported to the g730a.
