Fat32? Have you try 16gb?
I think your 32gb might be ExFat formatted, and can't be mounted.

This is what it looks like even though i had already inserted 16gb sd card.

Hmm can't help there.
Is it. Visible from cwm? If so, then it is just the cm10.
If also not seen at cwm, could well be hardware problem.

Do you need this?
Actually i don't know what is cwm.
I guessed should be this.

No I mean custom recovery.
Reboot to recovery, and choose to install,
you can choose to install from internal SD and external SD, if you can browse both then the hardware is fine.

When it is android 2.3 gingerbread, it is fine but when I rooted it and flashed it to cm 10 , the problem came. It should not be hardware problem I think.

Too weird though. Maybe try latest cm10 nightly.

I would say that the 1Gb missing is hidden, as used for internal stuff. So your have a little bit more than 11Gb usable for your own purpose (storage, pics, mp3, and so on).
Others will confirm (or not!)
EDIT: I was wrong saying that. I didn't noticed your picture ! So... You have a huge, ghost and unclassifiable file in your device !?

If you came from stock Samsung based rom your sd card location will have moved to data/media/0 leaving all your previous data were it was not to sure of the path.
If this is the case use a file explorer to move it across then you should have accurate reporting of your storage

Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda app-developers app
Move your old data to data/media/0 as that is the new sd card location for 4.2.2
