It has the same cpu and gpu as American galaxy S3. So the performance is similar.i like it. But don't expect any miraculous battery life.

I have an AT&T Xperia TL (running the latest AT&T stock firmware) and I can't say that I'd recommend getting one. I've had a number of strange problems with it. Both mobile data & bluetooth shut themselves off at random. (and won't turn back on unless you restart the phone) When you're playing music, it will occasionally just stop or start playing a different track (I've seen this behavior with several music apps, including the built in one, Spotify and Google Play Music) and it crashes out of games on regular basis. Also, camera performance was disappointing; the 8MP shooter in my Galaxy Skyrocket was better. In the end, I called AT&T and they eventually agreed to let me out of my contract early and allowed me to choose a new phone. I picked the LG Optimus G Pro and am currently waiting for it to arrive.

I absolutely love mine!!! I won't be upgrading to the Note 2, I just don't see any valid reasons to. Everything I've ever wanted on a phone...the Note has got it. Besides... I love the capacitive buttons are awesome when lit up in a dark room. I'm not a fan of the physical button. The only thing from keeping this phone has being labeled "perfect" is the lack of a notification light. :/

I completely agree. I love my note and everything runs perfect. I even have the galaxy note 2 gallery and pop up video player on mine with a sick theme. I will post the gallery and video with instructions in the apps and theme section. Also I wide love to see more activity in the forums as far as posting home screens for ideas and general info

Im happy with the note and when the note 2 comes out alot of mods will be ported over.I also hate the physical home button which was one of the reasons i took the s3 back to get the note. I do too wish the tmobile forum had more action but since tmobile came out with the note so long after at&t and then took it off the shelves im not shocked. But i love this phone

So far, I am pleased with the original Note..... But a few quibbles I've noticed: It's a little jerky at times (not nearly as smooth as wife's GS3 running same OS)..... I figure it must be because only 1GB of RAM... Also on wifi calling it doesn't always hang up the phone and on occasion, hasn't let me answer an incoming call either.... Maybe jellybean will fix some of these issues? (assuming we get jellybean). Overall I'm pleased and am glad I did not wait for the Note 2 (screen will be too narrow IMO) I like surfing the web in portrait mode

I might upgrade to the Note 2 because of this;
Wacom-designed stylus with 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity, which is four times more than the original version.

No way man. 1GB of ram is plenty. Gotta be something else. I have multiple devices, phones/tables, with 1gig of ram. The only reason there would be a lot of lag is because the stock rom sucks.

I agree I have a TMobile note running Blackstar 6 no lag what so ever. I replaced touchwiz with Nova launcher and it runs like a dream. On a personal note I have not had any lag or had to force close other ram hungry apps in order to "speed things up"

Humm..... Maybe I'm just too picky..... but at any rate, the Note definitely does not seem as fast or smooth as the GS3 (IMO)

Down load NoLED from the Play store. No root needed. Works great and I say even better than the LED that comes with the S3. With NoLED you know exactly what you missed.
When I first went to capacitive buttons from the HD2, I had thought that I missed them. Then I got the S3 and I knew instantly I missed the capacitive buttons.
Give NoLED a try and I think you'll be happy.
---
I do wish the Note did some of the things the S3 does: Like video previews and HDR photos in the camera options. I know there are other apps that can do that but I like the stock of it.
The one thing I was extremely glad that Note doesn't do vs the S3 is the gallery previews. The S3 gallery shows every picture in a tile mode like preview, the Note shows them in a group mode preventing embarrasing moments if some one looks at your gallery.
LOL..... I hear you rosedog.... Hey not to change the subject (of videos/photos)..... But I downloaded "Dice Player"..... enables a smaller/floating video player window over top of what app you're running (just like the stock capability of the GS3).... It works pretty well, too

You're not too picky. I traded my S3 for a Note a week ago. I def feel my S3 was much more snappy. Everything was just a bit smoother, quicker. Love the capacitive buttons and bigger screen, but miss my 2GB Ram and LED notification.
Will def upgrade to the Note 2 when it comes out.

Happy with mine, not going to buy the Note 2, not enough upgrades to justify. I don't like that it is longer & thinner either. Love my note however wish it had a notification light and a stronger vibrate when on silent. Also am having a problem opening some facebook video (from app) My note downloads videos rather than open them!. Other than that--am extremely happy with my TMobile Note.
I've noticed that too on some videos. My phone starts automatically downloading the video that I'm trying to stream.

Download noled and you got a sweet notification light for just about any notification. Works great and highly customizable.
I do believe the note 2 will def be a massive upgrade. JB stock, quad core cpu, 2Gb ram, just a few reasons why I'll upgrade as soon as it's out.

We (me, my wife, and oldest son) are going to upgrade our phones soon. We have a couple of Captivates and an Infuse 4G. We have two daughters, ages 5 and 6, who love playing on our phones. We plan on giving the Captivates to them to play their games on, watch videos, listen to music etc. Basically, turn them into iPod Touch type devices. Is there an existing ROM that might be tailored to this sort of use?

Yeah, it does sound like it's using too much CPU to me. Try going down in the CPU settings, and if you can't do that, maybe you should consider switching rom. My old G1 also over heated a lot, problem stopped when I changed the CPU settings. So I recommend you stop overclocking it.
So.... Being a Samsung Galaxy S user for long time, I came to the point where don't feel "fresh" with my phone. I came to conclusion that need change. Tried some launchers, but doesn't feel cool. So now I decided to change my "baby". The two phones I narrowed are HTC one or Sony Z. Do you think guys I am doing right or stick with my S3 (and wait for 4.3)? Any input appreciated...

Agree with you. As mentioned before I picked up HTC One today. Basically is the same ( meaning OS), but somehow feel better...Right now preparing to flash GE ROM,as I'm not a fan of Blinkfeed and "limited" customisation. Tbh,my S3 LTE never gave me any issue (touchwood!), so probably will keep both phones... My point is that with M7 GE will get faster updates, and hopefully smooth experience. Also I'm not fancy all the "extras" supplied with both devices (Touchwizz/Sense). Thankfully, few apps/widgets are available from play store,so will see how it goes...

Other "hidden" thing is,that Samsung will not provide same treatment as for the 9300. The 9305 isn't so widely available thus support could be "neglected"...

Ok, so after a week with the HTC I came back to Samsung S3 LTE. Don't know why, but Sammy just feel right for me.
Guys thanks for all your comments and suggestions.
I am not a Samsung fan boy, but from my point of view Samsung is the best (at least for my needs).
So sticking with S3, skipping S4, but looking forward to S5, which will have non plastic body (hopefully)....
hi guys,
I just bought a Xperia T, and i personally love this phone - Xpect one problem that i am facing, that since I updated my phone to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Build No.: 9.1.A.0.489...
Please help me fix this problem as the phone gets really hot after 5-10 mins of continued browsing or usage...strangely enough..it doesn't heat up while charging...
This is causing me to consider selling out this phone and opt for another Xperia that does NOT have this sort of problems..
Please reply soon

install cool tool from Google Play and watch the load of CPU,maybe some app is heating your phone
Most of the heat is from de module for internet, it needs a nuclear power central to keep it running, and that is creating the heat.

Are you a long distance from your local cell service towers?
I noticed when I travelled that if I was far from the local towers the phone would work harder to maintain a connection and the battery would also drop very quickly. How many bars on your signal strength?
I have full signal at home and I was at home when it was overheating.
But at my grandmars I have to jump up and down at the window with one hand on my head, offering my phone to the sky to send a text message. it hasnt got any wamer since I flashed timin8rs xperiment rom. In fact it barly gets warm at all.... even when pushing the phone realy hard. The battery seems to be lasting a little longer as well
