Yes, there is always a way to do anything... For this you need to get a miui ROM of a device which has same resolution and made for a same chip... That is for msm8960, if u can find that porting is pretty easy..

I wouldn't recommend miui for your first port. You have to deal with miui frameworks and smali assembly code. If you don't know what that is, start reading up and your eyes will glaze over. Its not easy ....

Lol i think i might just stick to feeding on what you guys dev up. I looked over some of the instructions and they really make my head hurt. Besides I can't be messing around with my phone too much i wouldn't want to start developing and then experimenting with my phone only to cause it to brick up. I really appreciate what you guys make for the community so ill find another way to help.

You should try yourself. There's a good guide in the development section. You'll have to search for the guide though, its lost in the pages of the development section
You will need to know how to decompile and recompile kernels for this to even come close to working..

I'm thinking about using the IcyGlitch v14 kernel. I'm in the process of testing it right now, but I'm a little big tentative because I don't have a dev phone and my Cappy is the only phone I have atm.
I'm probably going to need some advice from seasoned ROM devs

Its not as simple as placing a new kernel in the ROM. It has to be edited...

You can't hard brick without flashing BLs...
Sent from my SGH-I897 using xda premium
Lol. No, when. I messed up and I had to Odin back to stock. I think it was more of a soft brick... thank god for jigs

Hi,
thanks for your efforts trying to help here, but it seems you do not get it. All the ports of the JKay mod out there are for "DEODEXED" roms. I am talking here about porting the ODEXED mod to the STOCK (ORIGINAL) ROM I9305XXBLL3.
I can do a lot of things by myself, but doing this is a bit out of my league, if you get what i mean.
Thanks again anyway.
Ah maybe this is what im after ive just started a thread pure Google look

Help starting? :)

Okay so i've been thinking about learning programming to start developing apps and contribute to this forums and i'd want to know somewhere else how to start with this kind of things. So this would help a lot to some others wanting to know how to program. I've been learning some from here n.n

Omg, can't you read at the beginning of the post it says that the features are not working... the same as our CM 10.1
So, they just stole it out of here and didn't even mention the names of the devs working on it...

I will try. First of all if you have plans on installing custom ROMs on the HTC One you will need to read guides and tutorials. I said that because I owned a Xperia Z and I found that it's a lot easier to modify. HTC needs to have a unlocked bootloader before you can root it or flash any custom ROM.
You can start here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2119 in that section you will find guides and tutorials. This one a very very handy guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618
If there's anything more specific you like to know just ask away and a lot forum members will be glad to help and voice their opinion.
I advice to stay stock, and when you've read and learn guide and how to mod the one, you can change rom, flash rom and other
I'm not a big fan of unlocking boot loader I thought I would stick to stock are there any problems or bugs one should be aware of?
