Hello guys! How is your battery doing? Mine was good and even better once I installed Francos. I was getting, easily, 4:30h of display. Unfortunately, the new R156 doesn't give the same battery as the R151, 152. How y'all doing? Check it out.

Hello Friends,
Nowadays, I am facing a weird problem. Everytime when i was using my phone for a while, screen flickers and phone shutdown. When starting the phone, it says battery discharged or 1%, needs to recharge again and it happen in every 2-3 hours.
Also, i tried different roms thinking might be problem with the ROMs (i tried STOCK as well other ROMS). I also tried to calliberate the battery with different paid and free application but no luck.
Could you please suggest is my battery dead or some tweaks needs to be done?
Early help is really appreciated.
Thanks.

It is almost 1 year.
Need a new battery mate, this is normal around this time, I've had mine since November 2011 and it had the same thing happen. Have just ordered a new stock.
A lot of people started suffering with this after 10 months so you've done quite well to get 12 out of it.
For your info, thread on this matter:

Use pure alcohol and cotton buds and clean the pins. Don't think it will make a difference but can't hurt.

Hey guys, total noob on this stuff, but pretty decent in general. Need Help Unrooting My Rooted Moto Atrix HD Jellybean (motochopper root), please help. Damsel in distress or whatnot
You can uninstal root within the super su superuser app. Or search the store for root removal apps.

No reason really, just been debating it within myself to and wanted to know how in the case I decided to.
A couple more questions, please, will my rooted phone still update like a stock phone? Also, does anyone else with the Atrix HD have this same problem, when my battery gets low, it will literally jump from 14% to 4% in a matter of seconds...?
Thanks for the help guys.

There will be no more updates from Motorola so yes and no to your first question. An official update would update even on root, but you would lose all root privileges and have to re-root.
Yes on the battery problem, but since I've been using PACman and put the eb40 MAXX battery in, I haven't been close to dead battery for a while, so I can't tell you if it's been fixed.

I'll have to look into the MAXX battery you're referring to. I've tried a couple of the *battery saver type programs with absolutely no luck, unless performance is reduced significantly, and I will choose performance over battery life any day
The MAXX battery mod is buying an eb40 battery (which is the one in a DROID RAZR MAXX) and installing it in the Atrix HD. There are a couple of great tutorials on YouTube that show you how to do it.
//I got my battery off of Amazon. Make sure it's coming from a reputable source. Sometimes people send fake batteries out.
The mod only needs minor surgery to make it fit. Follow the steps and tutorials very carefully and you'll have a super long lasting battery in no time.
Yea man, thanks for all the great advice. I have actually just ordered one a few minutes ago, from amazon as well It was $47.00 shipped, and if it fixes my crappy battery problems then it will be worth every penny. I've been having to charge my phone on and off three or four times a day for a while now, I'm really grateful for the advice. Major Thank You!! I'll update this thread after I get it installed and use it for a day or two. Can't wait! Seriously, I'm excited here guys! :good::good:
Well, while we're talking, let me ask you this as well, off topic. I downloaded a Windows7 ROM for my phone, but never installed it because I'm not sure how to, I know it's not like a regular APK. Any advice on the custom ROMs? I'm sure there are several threads about it, just asking you while you're here, I guess just making small talk ya know.

If you didn't download it from the Atrix HD forums I'd say don't use it.
There are plenty of tutorials in Atrix HD general and the question/troubleshooting sections. There you can find a lot more info than I or anyone else can explain in one post.

theres no such thing as best rom for battery. battery completely depends on how you set up your device, on how you personally use your device, and on your phone/data signal. whatever rom/kernel you chose from here, you can get good battery life on.
Odexed stock rom with a 'stockish' kernel that let's you undevolt.
krait/dalvik optimisations hit the battery a bit IMO.
Any rom with airplane mode activated!

Hi everyone! Nice to be back in the Xda Community, even though what brings me here again is not that nice.
I bought the Thunder Q 4.5 for my girlfriend last Christmas, amazed by its awesome specs offered at the great price of 99 €. The problem is that, after few weeks, the phone began to freeze suddenly and turning off after a fast and unexplicable battery drain. Have you ever faced those kind of problems with your device? Any suggestion?
Thank you very much.

I have experienced a few freezes here and there, about once a month, and also have what i consider to be quick battery drain, about 6 hours screen on time.

Thank you for your answer! It looks like your experience with this phone is pretty good or, at least, way better than mine. Sorry for the late answer, I can't open XDA from my phone or tablet, still wondering why...By the way, thank you again for the suggestion (unfortunately not worked, it looks like some apps get stuck draining the battery.. ) and the link, I'll stay tuned for news about the rom!

Thank you for the suggestion! To be honest the problem hasn't occurred in the last weeks, but I'll install Better Battery Stats anyway to be ready just in case.
Could someone kindly point me to the area of know-how for an issue im having with my battery. After flashing many roms and restoring many backups, my phone is losing battery faster than ever without any services running. I have used a battery calibration app to assist in my issue but to no avail. It will drain very fast but lose ZERO percents over night and even gain 4 to 5 percent while the screen is off for extended time. THis led me to believe my battery is out of whack and needs some TLC pls help b0ss

Maybe no one has helped you because they don't know the answer. Look at the forums for this device, it's not very active. Most people have moved onto other devices. As far as I know, there is no way to calibrate the battery. Have you tested a different battery?

i thought this was a general request regarding batteries, not the device itself. Mod moved this thread here.. ive tried the apps, i also just deleted the batterystats.bin file and rebooted. Still hangs on 2 %. I did buy an offbrand battery that claimed to be 4200 MA but it wasnt. It was stock size and that battery was chill for the most part for a week then literally bit the dust. Wouldnt stay charged. It even weighed half the weight as my 2 year old original battery. So now im on the 2 year old one with this issue. Would you think it would be the battery itself making this happen? Or is it related to my software?

Oh I didn't know they moved it here, I thought you originally posted here. I'm not sure on S5, but on my old LG, after flashing a few roms the phone would act weird with battery life. I'm not sure about the specifics, but I think getting it back involved draining it to 0%, charging to 100%, then draining back to 0%, and repeating the process about 5 times. But that was a different phone, so I'm not sure. Have you disabled any background apps that may be running? I've disabled all touchwiz stuff I can think of so it won't run.
