i don't understand it really well so i followed your instructons rom boots and i go to settings and click build number 10 times then i go to developer options and adb is already disabled when enabling no reboot?
EDIT: had to do it a few times now it rebooted and external storage working (i tried using apollo and it's very unstable)
EDIT2: we really need OC now we see 4.2.2 doesn't run that well on out device

Hehe 4.2.2 is a big old beast . We are deffo gonna need a big ass oc ;p
I think if you havn't used 4.2.2 before you are going to end up a little deflated once you get it . It's not the all singing and dancing update that cm10 was to our phone.
And I wouldn't be suprised in the least that it will be slower.
Oh and nik and other devs . not sure on cwm but deffo on twrp , i think 2.4+ was needed as it fixed a bug where backups were spawning everywhere. It was to do with the way google made JB to accommodate multiple profiles . It's deffinately something to be aware of as when it was launched there were all sorts of problems on the forums because of multiple spawning of backups

31Hey buddy,
Finally someone is working on a custom rom for P3100. I have a P3100 abd would like to test your rom.
Thanx
I have a P3110
I would like to try this, please~
I just have some knowledge about this and have rich experience about testing bcos I made a lot of custom roms for me~
thx~~
Exciting news.
Unfortunately i only have a 3110, otherwise i would have loved to help.
Best of luck with the Rom, I am guessing we have a chance of it becoming an officially supported device now.
Anybody tried this on p3100 ??

Did not work on P3113, failed to boot past splash logo. Getting adb up now so I can post some information.
Also had to change some of the assert info in Updater Script to be able to even install it (Basically removed most of it and set it so that if the device == espressowifi, go ahead and install).

Okay have flashed on P3100 as of now working very smooth. Some transition effects lags but its okay. I am already loving it. More updates when i explore all the features. I have the cyanogen mod on the latest ICS v4.0.4. Rocking.
Nice work codeworkx. If any future updates and testing please do write me will be happy to test it for you.
Now time to check if the apps working fine.
I take that hardware acceleration is not implemented yet?
I successfully flashed to my 3113. Awesome and super smooth so far. What would be the best kernel to flash with this?

And Google Chrome works! No more FC due to no hardware acceleration.
Edit: None of the other kernels I've used before seem to work with this. So a proper warning to those who will try. Guess no OC for now.

I have been experimenting with the 10.1 preview version for about a week - and have to admit, while being a hardcore TabletUI user, this new interface grows on you - and I am really not looking for any kind of official tablet ui version, etc.
It's quick, I had very few issues even with the preview version - the emulated >0 desgination for the internal memory (due to the multi-user option) threw me for a loop at first, and I admit to reverting to stock and reflashing a couple of times before being told it was normal
Hats off to the CM Team, appreciate all the work put into these releases

Try flashing gapps-jb-picasa-20121011-signed.zip from the official gaaps page. This zip replaces Gallery2 with GoogleGallery (picasa gallery). I am not getting any errors. I have also performed a factory reset before moving on the CM10.1, so maybe that is the reason.
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-picasa-20121011-signed.zip
Note: The installation script for the replacement picasa gallery says it is for 4.1.2, but it also works with 4.2.1.
I am also using gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip.

It's nice, but why is it different from official? I mean it should be the same source, so removed ROM Manager is the only thing.

The only difference is OTA update from CM servers. That feature is not available in unofficial builds. But its no big deal, I can integrate OTA update if u guys want..
The other day I had the same idea
Basically stripping the source and remove any unnecessary stuff.
Did you manage to fix the sound distortion? I'm still stuck on that one, as I can't find the crucial part in the kernel (Or is the problem somewhere else?)
Anyway best of luck

Great work, thank you!
Good to see, that someone made some changes to the kernel!

I'm going to test this shortly. Btw I believe this shouldn't be in original android development section, since it's unofficial. Thank you though.

Ok I tried this out just now. Found a bug instantly, gets stuck on hanging up after a call. I like the kernel performance options. Would you be able to flash this kernel over cm10.1.3? If so could you make it pretty please?

There are three options:
1. Proxuser had bad luck at compile time, meaning that at the moment he synced, the sources where bad. Unlikely, because cyanogenmod sources are most of the time intact, but possible.
2. You messed something up. Meaning: Did a dirty flash over another ROM or something else.
3. The kernel is screwed up, but as Proxuser only did changes to governors, this is really really unlikely.
The reason why there are only this three options:
The build i did myself today works fine.

Working:
Camera works.
Not working:
Screen mirroring doesn't work.
FM radio missing.
Working but with issues:
Playing AVHCD files is dysfluent (same in 10.1)
Notes:
I thought that in Android 4.3 is support for Open GL ES 3.0?

From top of my head I cant think any reason why unofficial roms couldnt have anything the dev wants in them, not like there's some cmod police coming after you if you put custom kernel on your cmod.
What is that fast charging anyways? Is it harmful for the battery life?

Basically you can do whatever you want as long as you release the source. Just fork it and dive right into it.
Fast charging is not harmful for batterie, as it only tricks USB ports into giving 1A instead of the maximum defined in the definition.
Don't know how to say this. But actually, sir arco68 didn't like this unofficial release. And yet, it is based on arco68 sources. Can't you guys wait patiently until the official one release? If possible, please close this threde. Sir arco is working really hard for official release. But you guys just take it easy.

Yeps, if arco only wants to release full working roms it's ok. But you can't really blame if some people don't need a rom with everything working. Nobody is taking credit away from his work anyways

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

can confirm working

- ADB
- Sensor (auto orientation)
btw mind knowing where did cmboot.img come from? is it dedicated bootloader for cynanogenmod?

hey! why did you ignore me if I can ask?
RIL n bluetooth might be fixed but ... I can't fix WiFi due to different drivers.
These are the solutions for WiFi:
a) you make a custom kernel also a custom wifi driver from scratch
b) you compile from source with j13g's device tree
c) use stock sprdwl.ko (Won't work)
Tri's solution:
a) read that it won't be fixed
b) make logcats if you want the not working thing fixed
c) or don't download the rom........
