Hello ,
after S-off-ing my device using revone method and doing a fresh install of ViperRom , I am no longer able to see my personal sdcard data using a file explorer or by connecting my phone to computer but the files are shown in recovery .

Hi to All!
Is there some way to transfer Hebrew fonts from sd card to system of device?
I can see sd cards folders, also i see WildFire system folder-like fonts e.t.c.
i use dual file manager app to manage files on sd card,i success to copy the file from sd card, but i can't to paste the fonts on system folders. There isn't option to paste the copied files.
Some advance on this issue?
Thank in advance!!!
I found my problem.
I thought that i done softRoot, but unfortunately it isn't,i can't to paste the files because the folders of system still closed.
maybe try with a rooted explorer.
Push the file to your sdcard and then copy it with the root explorer to the font dir.
(didn't tried it, it's just an idea)
No - it doesn't matter,i tried with two different application to push the fonts, all systems folders is closed,i think it's related to root of device.
Anyway, thanks for advise.

If you want to push files to /system using soft root, you'll need to mount bind and then symlink a new directory containing all of system's content.
Otherwise, I'd just wait for full root which will be with you soon.
Best,
Martin

Better- i'll wait.
Hi Martin,
I prefer to wait for unrEVOked root.
By the way,do you have any idea: when the root should be published?
Thanks,
Well, technically, the root is ready.
I've been hassling unrEVOked devs as much as I can to give me a final test build so that it can go live, but these guys have other lives and, to be honest, the Wildfire is small fry to them.
Regardless, I am continuing to ask them -- I'd really really hope that it will be released within the next week, but, obviously, it's out of my hands.
Best,
Martin
Ok
Ok,We'll wait patiently.
Thanks for your sacred work
First of all thanks to unrEVOked team for the ROOT!!!
Second i still have some problem with transferring fonts from sdcard to system/fonts even after implement success root my wildfire, somebody know what the problem???
Thank in advance.
i guess you need Hebrew fonts

iandroid.co.il/phpBB3/topic5657.html
haven't tried it myself yet.

You need to boot into *recovery mode*, go to "Partitions" in clockworkmod and select "mount /system". When this is done, you can put the fonts in.
The unrEVOked root will still not allow you to write to the /system partition during normal bootup.

when i try to paste the fonts,i get waring "Warning!!!Do you want to overiwrite (folder will be merged)"? i press ok then i get app notice "paste is failed".
As I said, go into adb in recovery mode -- don't connect it up as a folder you can access with PC as you will not be running with root privileges.

sorry, but i think i didn't got you.do not connect the device to the pc?or to connect the device and to try to done this process through the \tools\adb?
may i mistake?
You need to connect the device to the PC, then restart the device *in recovery mode*.
You need to stay in recovery mode throughout.
Then mount /system and use adb on your PC to push the files.
Ok.thanks man

I'm trying to push the fonts file as you said through adb cmd:
(adb push /sdcard/fonts /system/)
,but I get next error "cannot stat: /sdcard/fonts/ not such file or directory".
the adb not recognize/see the sdcard.
Just flash the following zip from recovery: http: // hero.host-il.co.il/HebVillain/Hebrew_Fonts_Dalet11.zip
(remove spaces in the URL)

Did you mount the partition as RW??And if you still cannot copy files to /system that means you have partial root.Start over again from first...
Hey! Did not do anything with partition. Just entered into CWM mod and copied busybox. That's it.

You doing it in wrong way man.
1. download es file explorer from playstore.
2. enable root acces on es file explorer.
3. go to system/etc with es file explorer.
4. find vold.fstab.
5. long click it and choose open as text editor.
6. find this line "dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard 34 /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.2/mmc_host/mmc0"
7. change 34 to 33 and save it.
8. reboot.
You can do it via PC by using [Notepad++]....Edit the file and change the value from 34 to 33 then click save and push it via ADB to your phone, this is how to do it step by step after you change the value :
-connect your phone to PC, and open CMD
-type the following:
1 adb remount
2 adb push vold.fstab /system/etc
3 adb reboot
If your phone isn't rooted you cannot push files to system folder mate. You also cannot change the value using root or es explorer. You need to lock bootloader flash device ruu and start again. Before you flash custom rom again please read first and ensure you have correct rom for hboot. Put rom and supersu zip files including vold zip on sdcard before you do anything. Flash the files after flashing rom zip before you reboot. Once you have full root then vold edit is easy

You need ruu specific for your device mate as not everyone will work. You need to read mate and now you stuck. Your only option is to try flash New hboot as it will make sdcard visible again.

Do you have a link for how to do?
Why is it i cannot delete those 2 folders in any explorer in my internal? It it something to do in permision or something else? Need you help here tia
Which error you have from the explorer?
However, if you will erase all your sd, do a full wipe when you're flashing a new rom

Good. You could also have deleted them by using a root explorer and looking for them in /data/media/0 instead of /sdcard.
