I'm a new member, but I can't report this on the orignal thread.
android.phone always FC when I answer a call or call someone else.
orignal thread: PAC-man
I use GSM, China mobile.
Could someone help me, please? Or I'll have to flash back to an old version.

I fix this with a full wipe. I have to restore the data now, again...
seems to be a common problem with this pacman release for all phones.
I noticed that this issue is linked to the "preferred network mode"
if you change it in the setting under "mobile network menu" you can reproduce the issue.
returned to 0620..

When I restored all the data, phone FCs again...
I've returned to 0620 again.
Disable PAC in Black and your FC should be gone. Will be fixed in the next update.

Hi all,
I just bought an optimus 2X but I'm having problems with whatsapp. When I install it and try to register my number it shows me this message: "Unable to connect. Please try again later"...I tried through wi-fi and 3G without any lucky (I'm 101% sure that I have internet access). I also have a LG GW620 and it doesn't have this problem
I saw a post over the comments on whatsapp (android market) and there is a user that is having the same issue, do you know if there is a fix or something else? Any help will be appreciated.
Regards.
I dont know a fix, maybe install the newest official rom, basement or you only need to enable the right settings for your provider.
With my LG Optimus Speed(rooted+custom rom), and 2 other LGOS(newest stock rom), it works perfectly, without any problems.

I just installed baseband 1035.21_20110614 and I'm still having the same issue
Strange, worked for me immediately. This happened on my little sister's phone though (Wildfire). Think I just unistalled and reinstalled for it to start working again.

Have you tried to install previous version of Whatsapp?
Actually I have no problem with this issue, but some of my friend does..
Try to install Whatsapp version 2.6.4531, maybe it will work..
*My friend said it's working..
Oh, just googling to find it
I am having exactly the same problem with my Optimus 2x P990.
Tried another sim card, along with all the possible fixes Whatsapp sent through with no luck. They had thought it was a bug at their end (which they fixed) with my mobile number but having tried a different sim/number/carrier that isn't the issue.
I have tried KaKao which also uses an SMS registration and that worked fine.
Maybe a compatibility issue with the current version?
Have you had any luck with an older version?
strangely, i have same problem too.
when register my phone number and click OK... "unable to connect. Please try again later"... i've tested it with 3g/hsdpa data connection and wifi... no luck

We expect that google will fix it in a new OTA or in the new Android 4.4 Kit Kat.
This happens if you have a carrier that shares the network with another carriers.
The process stops until I delete all the APNs exepting the configuration of my carrier
If you upgrade from 4.2.2 to 4.3 the previous APNs are restored and this issue never happens
This are spanish carriers (the network is property of vodafone), can anyone confirm if this happens with in another carriers/countries??
Thx
What a mistake. And what a fright when doing clean install .
Yes please help raising the visibility of this issue as it is a very big bug which does not become public just because people don't usually factory reset and n4 is shipped with 4.2.2

Hello everybody,
I just flashed the new release of CM10.1 by Maclaw and I lost my 3G data connection. I have tried everything: APN settings (even though they were correct), modifying the old settings and also creating a new APN, installing different modem versions, I tried to solve it following this post from a similar problem http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548453 ...
The problem is still there, I can call and send/receive SMSs, just the data connection doesn't work, no internet. My carrier is HEYAH Poland.
Thanks in advance for this awesome forum,
Greetings :good:

OK, problem detected. It's not a problem of the phone. The problem is the simcard: with other simcards the data connection works properly...
Hi, I have been using Carbon Rom 4.4.3 for about 2 weeks now. It is a very nice ROM and everything worked flawlessly first.
But after a few days, my network signal of the phone used to go off after 1-2 hours of phone inactivity [sometimes even half hour]. I had to then restart my phone for the network to come.
Is anyone else getting this problem? Please, can anyone give me solution to this?
XDA thread of that ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2648138
I tried flashing the 4.4.4 update that is being shown in that thread but sadly it is on Megahost. I tried maybe 8 times or so to download, but my download was always stuck at 64%. What's more, Mega is down currently. Any one know any of the mirrors? Or can anyone please poet it on that thread that the links are down [many people are facing that link down issue].
I cannot post it there as I don't have permission to post on development threads [did not complete 10 posts].
