So I flashed the regular gapps that I would on my phone, not inverted, and when I flash it on my kindle, they're inverted; no matter the ROM. Any ideas?

Hello!
I am a rooted Kindle Fire HD 7" owner. I would like to know some details about a jelly bean OS for my device so I can replace the clunky Amazon's version of Android. I would also like to know, if the process of making the jelly bean on it is not completed, the progress that has been made on it. Thank you!

Well I Bricked My Kindle Fire HD In Version 7.4.3
I Don't Have A Backup...
Can I Fix That?
Yes you can, try this:

You will need to be able to get it into fast boot though, so you will need a fast boot cable.

Have you figured out a way to root the Kindle Fire HD 7.4.3? Most of the guides I read state that people are having trouble rooting the most recent Amazon version of the device.
Thanks!

Yeah sometimes the root with restore don't work the first time. I've had times were it took me 7 or 8 times to get it to work. Keep trying it will eventually go thru and root your kindle.

Try kindle fire first aide to return to 7.2.3 then try original root method from there, just make sure to turn off ota updates before using WiFi and everything should be easier

I Wanted To Know If I Can Flash A Custom Recovery And A Custom ROM On The Amazon 7" Kindle Fire HD?
Yes.

For the sake of not bricking your kindle here's a heads up, you don't flash anything like clockworks, only thing we can use right now I'm aware of is twrp. For more information read this thread:

Have you checked the ROM's development thread to see if it is a known issue?

Either you can try to flash just the color-cam-fix
http://goo.im/devs/Hashcode/tate/cam-fix2.zip
or flash the entire rom to the latest version: [08/12] BETA CM10.1 + 3.0.50+ KERNEL
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40563958&postcount=1
And don't forget to make a backup first.
Hey guys,
i installed CM 10.1 on my Kindle Fire HD, everything works pretty well, but the Keyboard doesn't open and always generates an Error which closes the AOSP Keyboard App instantly when it normally should open....
Anyone got the same problem? I'm using Hashcodes ROM
Please Help!!
Try wiping cache and dalvik cache in twrp under wipe>advanced wipe.

Sounds like you flashed the wrong gapps version, recheck in the original thread what version you should use. If its indeed the wrong one just clean cache and dalvik than reflash it.
