[Q] eb40 caused phone death? - Motorola Atrix HD

Help guys, I was fixing up my eb40 battery mod (cutting the cover) and after finishing; when i turn the phone on it shows the bootloader unlocked warning and goes straight to a blank black screen. I'm not sure what has caused it. I keep on rebooting it to no avail. Any ideas on how I could fix this issue

[Q] Question about CWM and bricking

Background: I installed a theme through CWM onto my LG revolution, and for whatever reason it bricked the phone. Wouldn't load beyond the welcome screen. Hard resets didn't bring me back into CWM, which would have allowed me to solve the problem. A major compounding problem was that it did not get far enough along in the boot process for me to review the files on my computer.
So, here is the question: Is there a way to tell the phone to reboot into CWM next time? Or some other thing I can do? (Besides getting a replacement phone) Any help would be appreciated.
Have you pulled the battery put it back in and hold power and volume down at the same time?

after installing a theme you wipe the dalvik. Upon rebooting the phone it takes forever to get going again. Turn the phone off and turn it back on and let it sit for about 10 min or so and post back

Just wondering if you're battery is bloated and therefor not holding proper charge? Place it on a table and see if it spins.

Sounds like it's hosed, but no idea why. Have you tried un mounting sd cards before nandroid?

[Q] I need immediate help boot loop+CWM problem

I dont know too much about firmware, but my LG Thrill 4g is boot looping and staying on the lg logo screen and the homescreen buttons will illuminate. I can get into the Clockworkmod recovery mode and Ive wiped everything but the phone still won't start up. It isn't in usb debugging mode, and the hard reset is not working at all. Have you made a backup file
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
Yes I have, but removed it thereafter, okay it isnt bricked anymore, it starts up now. But since i factory reset it and am now trying to redo everything on the phone, it looks a little glitched, the text messages dont come through, i cant see the text on the menus and it looks to me like the phone itself is glitched, anything i can do? Maybe I didnt fix it prperly?
Are you trying to flash a rom? In your first post you said it isn't in USB debugging mode, is this correct?

Semi Bricked i957

So my i957 wont boot up passed the second Samsung screen. I can get into recovery mode after rooting it and obviously download mode after rooting it. I used it yesterday morning and left and it was still lit up when i came home at 12:30 at night. I have no idea how it didnt die in that time but i reset it and now it wont turn back on. I could possibly try to put a different rom on here but since it has no external sd slot, i have no idea how to put a rom on it. I didnt even finish rooting it because i didnt install superuser yet either. Any one have any suggestions to fix this? Prior to this my tablet was stock and i wasnt able to get into recovery mode so i tried rooting it and that got me a step closer.
Do a factory reset. It'll get you past the boot loop.

You can boot into recovery and use adb to push files from a PC to the tab.

[Q] I messed up

Hello, I recently factory reset my atrix hd after messing around with rom toolbox customization tools, as in status bar icons and fonts and bootanimations.. after the reset it started up bootloader unlocked, safestrap worked, got into the phone, which stillhad the modified boot animation and my fonts and unlock sounds and what not, no su app or safestrap app though, so i plugged it into my computer and then the phone froze, so i force restarted it and it has yet to turn on, just a black screen. is it bricked? if so what do i do from here
Why do people keep using safestrap with unlocked bootloaders.. Does your computer recognize it? Have you tried holding the volume buttons and power button.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
the tutorial i followed told me to use it, was my first attempt at rooting so since it worked i stuck with it, but i have tried plugging it into the computer which is what made it freeze so i had to try to restart it in the first place, the computer dos not recognize it, and iveheld down every combination of buttons for atleast a minutes time each, it refuses to show any signs of life
Sounds like you might have a paperweight. Unless maybe the battery just happened to die?
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
ROM tool box changes everything in system and factory reset erases only data and cache... So those changes will not be reverted and su and safe strap are installed in data so it was removed.... Is your boot loader unlocked?
Sent from my MB886 using xda app-developers app
my bootloader is unlocked yes, and i dont think my battery went dead because it was atleast more than half way charged so i fear you may be right about it being a paper weight
Then the only way Is to try fast boot ...if your battery is dead, turn of phone by holding all the three buttons simultaneously and plug it to ac adopter... Leave for an hour... I will be charged... No need of any factory cable... Then try fast boot

ilft it on the charger all night and it still wont turn on, fast boot is the 3 buttons correct?

no, it should be off.. make sure your phone is off before you connect it to charger, after connecting dont bother, give it time... press volume down button or power button once, if the screen dosnt wake up, then its in off condition...
I understand that, I'm saying my phone has been off, no screen activity, no green light to indicate charging, nothing, it was like that all night and is still like that now, as it sits right at this moment it is as if it were completely dead, but it still remains that way even when i plug it in to the charger, no green light at the top, no screen activity at all, not even when i press or hold buttons
okay so it was just fried somehow, got it replaced through at&t so thank you anyways to all that tried to help
Well hopefully you learned from your mistakes.

Really hope he does.
At this point, use Myth Tools to root, unlock boot loader, then flash Youngunn's CWM. Then to get any ROM to work properly, you'll need to use fastboot to flash a stock ROM, just like skeevy, I recommend flashing it through CMD instead of RSD or Myth. Once you've flashed it with fastboot, download GPS status and toolbox and get a GPS lock, then you can backup and flash 4.2.2 ROMs with working everything. Some may not include GPS, camcorder, or battery/lag fixes; I know the latest versions of PAC and AOKP (the one by Youngunn) have all of these fixed. I believe the only issues we have now are ROM-specific bugs and signal bars not showing while connected using LTE.
