Hello all,
I have the latest 4.2.2 firmware which was rooted using doomlords rooting kit. I installed a TWRP recovery and backed up my phone. After that I flashed a softkey mod which is now causing my phone to go into a boot loop. I get the sony and xperia logo followed by the waves then it restarts again.
Noob question how do I go into twrp recovery in order to restore my backup?
Edit: Ignore this couldn't get the phone to go into recovery had to flash ftf via flash tool

Ive been trying to flash cm11 on my Xperia SP but ive run into a problem. Ive managed to root it and install recovery (i cant unlock bootloader so am using a locked bootloader version of cm11.) I went into recovery and did a factory wipe, then tried to flash the cm11 but it said it had failed. So i tried to boot back into the system bu now it gets stuck at the sony logo and i cant get any further. Cant get into recovery or flash mode as flashtool comees up with loads of errors. Dont know what to do next, any ideas? Thanks
EDIT: Nevermind, downloaded sony update program and reflashed back to stock using that. Now to start all over again!
I flashed a generic TFT and unlocked the bootloader with Flashtools and rooted the phone with EasyRoot. But I can't figure out how to boot into recovery. Neither by pressing the volume buttons nor by trying to boot into recovery from Quick Boot, ROM Installer or ROM Manager. It just keeps booting normally.
If it's useful:
Android 4.3
Kernel 3.4.0-perf-g8330588
Build no. 14.2.A.1.136
Also, running linux on my laptop.
Have you installed Nuts Dual Recovery? Because EasyRoot dosn't install it...

Click to collapse
download the newroot tool. In the newroot windows click unroot and after it is completed klick root my phone then you have a rooted phone and cwm recovery installed
Hi. I have a Xperia Z1 C6903 (honami) and I tried to install Cyanogenmod on it by following this tutorial:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_honami
What I did:
1. Unlocked bootloader, had no problems with that.
2. Went to fastboot, flashed over Boot.img, after that I couldn't get to recovery (probably because I didn't install it first)
3. Tried another Boot.img for the Free Xperia project, after that my device had a flashing red light.
4. Reflashed the previous CM Boot.img back.
3. I was told to install recovery, so I installed TWRP (Still couldn't get to recovery mode)

Now I've downloaded Flashtool along with a general FTF file, my next plan was to flash the whole thing, but I'm asking if there was something I did wrong and how to fix up this mess?
Right now by going into recovery mode I get stuck at Sony logo, tried waiting 10 minutes but nothing.
EDIT: Tried to fix it by installing Emma, reinstalled stock lollipop ROM, and TA (I think that's recovery) and nothing, can't even see sony logo anymore
EDIT2: Flashed stock ROM with Flashtool, still doesn't work...
Hi, I rooted my phone to get xposed working. Now, to get away from unlocking bootlader, I used kingroot to root and got it done. I got the xposed framework zip and flashed it with flashfire.(no recovery). Now my phone is in a bootloop and wont start. Since, it wont boot I cannot connect it to flashtool or no recovery to boot into.
Kindly help me with this if someone has faced similar issues.
You maybe flashed the wrong xposed framework version and you need TWRP recovery to flash it(Recommended). You don't need to turn on your phone to flash stock rom via flashtool. If you already have the stock rom and flashtool then start the flash in flashtool and press and hold the volume down key and connect your phone using usb. This will start the flashing process. After you root your phone using Kingroot, change it to Supersu.kingroot can't give you complete root access.Download and install dualrecovery instead flashfire.
So I successfully unlocked my bootloader and flashed custom ROM and recovery, first boot it was okay, I was able to setup Android and installed apps, now when I rebooted it, it only boots to recovery. Phone can still be detected by my PC, can also get detected in fastboot when in bootloader. So I think there's really a workaround for this I just didn't know how and I am now hesitant to follow web tutorials if it isn't an official forum just like this.
Things I already did:
Reinstall ROM
Reflashed custom recovery
Cleared Data/Dalvik/Cache
Factory Reset
Flash the stock firmware by SP Flash Tool, it'll help to revert back to stock and stop boot loop!
