i also have some yellow spots sometimes on screen ... the wierd thing is that if I make a screen shoot I can see them @-) LMAO (on PC ALSO)
Yeah mine too.
It seems the V screen a little yellowish. It look like the S if I set the brightness low. Even at full brightness on V still look like 50% on S.

Many may have different opinion , personally felt good
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ch_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5oYXhvciJd
set your display brightness to 75% with adapt to light and set screen filter 48% and see you viewing angles, i felt it has improved for two reasons from .253 the screen calibration has been better and deeper colors along with this layer of filter dulls your screen to give you better colors ( darker / saturated ) try it for yourself and post your best setting for the filter..
Hit thanks if this app helped you
Wauww what a difference in colloures

Wooow. For me, colors look better when you tilt your phone for 80 degrees. I'm on .434.

I think the app basically reduces the back light rather than the brigtness
Great application. I m on .307 and set brightness at 50% adapt to light and screen filter at 69%,looking great on my phone,it does improve colors making it dark and saturated.
i had been using my xperia Z for about 2weeks time, but today i just realize there a few dots appeared on the left screen. it only visible while the background is bright color. i had ran the deadpixel fix app from play but nothing change. Is it dead/stuck pixel problem? or is rom problem?.. should i sent it bck to SC? need advice tkz ppl
send it back

Hi,
Here is the problem I am facing since I bought the phone. I cant find any explanation for this in this forum.
All the pictures which I take in the dark using flash will have a yellow shade. I just want to confirm if its only me who is facing this problem with Xperia SP. If yes then I am going the get the phone replaced.
Attached is the image for reference.
The white balance is messed up in the software itself. Manually change it to incandescent

Hello XDA community.
Me and my best friend have Xperia Z1 for a month now.
We saw some difrence betwen our phones (He have yellowish screen comparing to my White, and also under sunlight i have almost completly black screen, while he have more red color screen).
I did know the name of aplication which can check Who manufacture our display but cant remember.
Can anyone tell me if knows.
Thank you XDA. All the best.

Not too sure on the manufacturer, you could try the service menu.
*#*#service#*#*
As for the tint, if youve unlocked the boot loader (read up about it if you haven't) you can install doom kernel then modify your white balance and then install pimp my xperia from play store and mod it again. You can strike a decent balance using the two of them and you can nearly eliminate the yellow tint. Worth a try.
Just don't forget to research first if the boot loader is still locked.

Unfortunately we got carrier locked bootloaders, so that is not option for us.
That diference dosent bother us at all, we are just curious which company made our LCD panels.
We had similar stuff on Xperia S, where you can actually read who made it, but cant remember the app name :/
Anyway, thank you for your effort
You have to be Rooted and Terminal Emulator.
Here is the Original thread which explain how to do it.

This is mine, Sharp Renesas 1080p video, the other once can be JDC Renesas 1080p video.
Which one is the better one?
BTW, with Terminal Emulator you can check the ID panel even without Root, just type this code
Code:
cd /sys/devices/mdss_dsi_panel
cat panel_id
Hi, thank you for reply.
I tryed with this Un rooted method and it gives me message "access is denied".

I have a yellowish screen too, I'm using these white balance settings, yellow tint is almost entirely gone and it also adds saturation, tell your friend to give it a try.
