Here in this thread is the NL ftf file http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2200945
It`s not so hard to find.
Flash with flashtool.
If you have done, please tell me if you have the same nfc update issue as I have.

Yes you can just flash with flashtool to downgrade and if you dont wipe anything,
your phone will be as before just with .434.
But for me the downgrade ended in a NFC update problem that causes the phone to reboot the whole time!
Therefore I am stuck at .253 without root!

To find things requires you to actually search, if you're too lazy to do that then read the stickys where you'll usually find them, but if you're too lazy to even do that, wait for a spoon feeder to come along and help, as they have done.

Yes, but no bootloop. Boot was fine, but then the nfc update comes and ends in a reboot.

No. .434 didn't work at all for me, because you can't do anything because of the reboots at startup.
Therefore I flashed . 253 again but without root, because it's unable at the moment.

It's working fine, I've flashed about 4 or 5 different 434 ftfs over the weekend with no issues, you can find the ones I tried in - Xperia Z Resource Thread -|- Firmware - Guides - Mods {Update - 253 FTFs}

You should really use the search button, there are 100's of threads about this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2439328
That should help. Good luck.
If the 4.2 you're talking about is 14.2.G.2.257, then it's unrootable. You need to downgrade to 534 and then root, then OTA to 257 and you will keep root.

Upgrade/downgrade...

Hi,
I am thinking of flashing the 4.4 upgrade to my z1 to see if the Bluetooth issues that I had on 4.3 will be resolved. My question is -
If I upgrade to 4.4 and I am still having Bluetooth issues, will I have any problems downgrading back to 4.4.2?
Any help will be appreciated!
P.S. I don't need to have root access!
Yes because you cannot downgrade from 4.4 to 4.4.2, they are the same
If you mean downgrading to 4.2 or 4.3, it should be fine (AFAIK)
Remember there was the loss of IMEI going from 4.3 to 4.2, so I suggest only downgrading to 4.3

Hi gregbradley
Thank you for your reply,,,
Sorry I meant downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.2.2...
I have tried the upgrade to both .290 and .136 (4.3) and back again to .257 (4.2.2) and did not suffer any IMEI loss.. Does this mean that I was just lucky or?

Alan

That's your choice. Vodafone UK will come with some bloat, but you can remove that with root.
