I don't know how the issue started. I have been using CM10 for almost 2 months without issues. I restarted the phone and boom! It was stuck in a bootloop with that boot animation keeping appearing all the time. I tried a factory reset, flashing the ROM again, flashing another ROM, and even flashing the stock ROM with all the images using ODIN. It was still stuck on the boot animation. I was surprised that the last solution didn't work because everytime I did it, the phone recovered from the bootloop.
I can still enter into download and recovery mode.

Samsung GT-I9000 boot into recovery mode after pressing the power button
Not sure it is the same problem or not, but my phone (Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000) keeps booting into recovery mode everytime I turn on the phone by pressing the power button. I tried to root with the stock PIT file and stock ROM or CWM recovery and stock ROM or any customized ROM, such as CMD 10.1, but it still boots into the recovery mode every time I turn on the phone WITHOUT using any combo keys, e.g. VOL down, Home and Power buttons).
The thing is that the recovery mode is not looping. Basically, after I press just the POWER button, the phone boots into the recovery mode and stay there.
Please help!
Many thanks!!!

Hey you are gonna want to flash a stock image using odin which will solve your problem. There should be a guide somewhere
My problem is solved, I had to go to "Mounts and storage" in recovery and choose "format /cache"

What you have to do is to flash the boot loader, I had the same exact problem and this solved it. But our devices are different so I don't think my boot loader will work on yours.

I rooted my 2X with super one click and installed CWM 5.0.2.0 using rom manager. I used the rom manager to reboot in to recovery for the first time, then I tried to boot into recovery by holding down vol- & power but instead of taking me to recovery it gets stuck at LG logo. I had to remove the battery to reboot the phone.
Any one got a solution for this.
It works now, I just kept holding Vol- & power button for around 10 secs after the LG logo apeared then released and it went to recovery.

I m already using rom manager.

It isnt rom manager is an app that lets you quickly reboot to CWM witput pressing any buttons
Yup, this was the first time I tried to boot into recovery manually. These apps are no use once you flash a new baseband using smartflash as it will do a full wipe of the device and you have to enter recovery manually.

the tricky part is to release the power button at the right time, or immediately the first menu item (= reboot system now) will be executed.
You are absolutely right, I just released the buttons as soon as the LG logo appeared. As a result it gets stuck and I have to remove the battery.

hisham i did the same but my phone is stuck on the logo too....i tried to boot in recovery mode but its still stuck/////
Try booting into recovery again, this time hold the Vol- and power button a little bit longer (maybe 15 or 20 secs) and also try updating CWM to the latest using ROM Manager.

Same here
I have almost the same problem. That is, when I try booting to recovery from ROM manager, my phone is stuck on the LG logo (red one), but when I try holding vol- and power button to boot into recovery it just does a regular boot.
I recently went from CM7 to a new stock ROM using Smartflash tool, but I want to change back due to lack of apps available.
I have also installed CWM from the AIO-toolkit for P990, but this didn't help. I still cant boot into recovery.
Does anyone have a solution to this? I want to flash a new ROM rather than the stock LG one.
with CWM 5.x.x.x you have to push and hold both power an volume- and after CWM screen is started DO NOT release the power button first but release the volume- first (keep powerbutton pushed all the time) and push volume- once so it does not choose the reboot option.
Then release both buttons, "scroll" with vol- or vol+ and "enter" with powerbutton
First time i used the CWM5.XXX the "reboots" did drive my creazy
Occurred to me too and solved flashing TG v28g (which has root and recevery attached).
Hi,
I was trying to install 2.3.6 DDKQ6. The Odin process finished successfully and restarted the phone. But now the phone is in a boot loop. It keeps getting restarted after 2 seconds. I can't get to recovery mode.
I can access download mode but flashing even again (different ROM) doesn't work.
Please help me

Make sure the rom is in your region. Dont install a rom from another country. Try get to recovery mode with button combination. Search for more tutorials.

As long as ur phone is bootlooping, it can enter in stock recovery. So, take out battery, re-insert it, goto STOCK recovery & do "wipe data/factory reset" & wipe cache. It worked for me & for most of us too!!

I think
first comes the Samsung logo (no matter which ROM u have installed).
then comes your device logo (varies with the kernel installed).
then boot-screen.
If you press home+power button u will enter into the stock recovery console(if cwm or other recovery is not installed).
And if you don't press the home+power button then you will boot normally.
Be on the safe side
Press home+power button until u see the recovery console.
Most of the boot-loops can be solved by wiping up cache and factory reset.
Hope this will solve your problem.
Edit:
Try some after market ROMs they are way more fast and efficient than stock Samsung GB ROM. Try Apocalypse or
Democracy.
Just hold the power button and home button... release it when you see SAMSUNG.. flash the rom again if still you dont get any help...

I have a quick question about this. I have never done any of the holding buttons down while you reboot nonsense to get to recovery. If I hold in the power button I get a menu. I can shut down, restart, go into recovery or start the bootloader. I just select recovery and hit restart. It boots into TWRP. Am I missing something? It seems to have worked fine with my latest rom. Maybe this situation explains the trouble i was having loading AOIP.

I tried rooting my N7000 with Odin 3.04 and hardcore-speedmod-ics-recovery-n7000.tar
It went through fine but now my phone won't boot. It's stuck on the model number screen and now has a yellow exclamation mark in a triangle.
I can get into the ClockWorkMod recovery menus but not into download mode (using volume down and plugging in micro USB).
I assume that when I get it back into download mode I can install the stock ROM or a custom ROM, and then it should work?

Thanks guys.
For the benefit of future users:
So the default download mode is volume down and plugging into micro USB. With certain custom ROMs, it's Volume Down, Home and Power at the same time.
My problem was fixed by factory reset, loading the PhilZ kernel, then the stock ROM and the PhilZ kernel again to re-root, and then a Nandroid restore. I think the kernel I tried first was either incompatible or a bit dodgy.
Now to get CM!

The problem is back.
Since last time, I flashed the stock Samsung rom and the PhilZ kernel. The phone was working fine but got noticeably slower over the course of a week. Then it got stuck on a phone call and had to be powered off. The phone goes into CWM menus and can backup/restore fine but I've tried restoring and it's stuck on the "Samsung Note GT-N7000" boot screen. It powers off after this screen.
I had noticed that the gallery app had stopped working and some system text had randomly changed to garbage text
I've tried re-loading the ROM and that hasn't done it. I also tried a system + boot recovery. Before doing these, the phone would go to the splash animation but get stuck on that.
Any help appreciated.
Boot back into philz recovery and format system, data, cache, preload from mounts and storage menu. This will clear traces of old ROM. Then boot to download from advanced menu and flash ROM using odin
I had installed Stockrom CM10.1 and i want back to put a stockrom. In the rush I forgot to do the wipes before going through odin the StockRom.
Since then the phone does not pass the samsung logo and can not go into recovery mode. I tried to send the CWM, also the ".pit" with Odin and I have sent the RescuePDA. In any case get it to boot the phone and put it into recovery mode, although in download mode it is ok.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks in advance.

Is there any way of make wipes with the computer (odin or similar)?
I had the same bug. And, you got ramdump mode, probably in the past, you selected from recovery the option ,,reboot to recovery,,. To fix that, you need to press the same keys , but in a different order. First flash cwm 6.0.3.3 (by thewhisp), then , remove the battery and put it back. After that, press that buttons in that order : home+power+up+down
IMPORTANT: YOU NEED TO PRESS UP+DOWN AT THE SAME TIME, AND IN 1 SECOND. (Till you see the SAMSUNG LOGO)
If now you see ,, clock work mod,, wipe data. If not repeat all steps.
It worked 100% on my s6500d, after several hours of trying.
