They make progress on the 3.0 AOSP kernel everyday. The one used now has everything working, though due to the frequent patching its not common for some instability to be introduced for several days until it's fixed. The 3.4 kernel will just make it much easier to support future versions of Android and improve compatibility with existing 4.2.2.

Just FYI i have not had any camera issues in a while. The only USB Issues i have is the having to reboot after taking it off the charger if i want to have my computer see it. I have not had any random reboots for a few nightlies now with CyanogenMod which is what AOKP is based off of.
You should give AOKP a try if you like and see how it works for you. At most you are out a half hour of time.

He just needs to create a new thread. He did what CM did, he started building CM 10.1 releases and stopped developing CM 10 abruptly. His OP is just out of date.
A Mod needs to step into his thread and just state that, IMO.

so i have got a LOT of requests from people from nexus 4 forum to release pacman for nexus 4 but non of the team member has this device
nexus 4 being a google device i suppose it wont have issues with aosp based roms so i am looking for testers for the rom
i will build and upload it tonight i will be using cm configs
if you are interested in testing please post here
I am very interested, pacman is my daily driver on my i9100. I love it and I can't wait to get it on my nexus 4! My nexus 4 should be here Wednesday and if this is working by then it'll be the first and possibly only ROM I'll be flashing. I only really like aokp, cm, and pa so this ROM is perfect for me. When will you build with pa 3.0? I appreciate your work!

There are already some roms like rootbox, revolt which try to pull it all together somehow, but meh it does not include the real hybrid engine, it is xposed framework.
But this here looks promising. Add in some PUB/Bionic stuff and it would be perfect
I'll test!!!!
I'm in for sure!

i don't know if going official really worth it, unnecessary headache i would say the only advantage i see would be update notifications, which could be easily implemented using goomanager. unless of course if slimbean decides to implement delta updates, i would be saying different thing.

@demetris_I is right. for making it official you need to spend way more time into the project, and you need two (official and "good") alpha/beta testers.
so you see, he has a lot of time to lose
i'd love do see it official, too, so i offered my support however i can, but it is, and will always be, his decision. and we all have to accept it

You're not entitled to anything, if you feel the need for a bug list flash the ROM and compile one yourself. You'll find out how much time it takes. Don't go around demanding all kind of stuff but do it yourself instead, and if you can't do it yourself; learn to. XDA is still about all kinds of development, not making your phone custom and shiny.

kltespr?
I flashed yesterdays build and its running fast and smooth but it is still built with the 8mp camera. I believe cm is being built with a 16mp camera. I used Google camera on worked perfectly, no fcs.
Everything else I've tried have worked perfectly.
I'll keep u guys posted on my findings.

Kltespr?
10/26 build working perfectly. Using the Google camera and not a single fc!
Does this work with the octo-core SM-G900H? I wasn't sure from the info in the OP.

I believe it does but I will check with the AOKP team.
Edit: Still waiting to hear more info but based on the info I've found it likely will not. Worth a shot though.
Edit 2: Definitely won't work. That phone has an Exynos CPU.

Is there a way to check which roms do and do not work with this CPU, so I don't bother people by asking in each rom thread? I couldn't tell if I was missing a detail in the OP for this thread or not.

Basically klte means Qualcomm only. Unless the thread specifically states it's for Exynos (the two are not compatible) you can assume it's not.
AOKP was my favorite rom on the S4
And now on my S5 really this is the only rom that works for me without any problem at all, very fast and stable
