[Q]How to access screenshot image editor without taking a screenshot? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi You know that when you take a screenshot it opens a simple image editor. I am searching for a way to edit any image (without taking a screenshot) in this editor but i can't find a way to open it.
The reason:
This editor has the pan&zoom feature and it saves an image - not a note.
The samsung Photo editor does not have pan&zoom when drawing.
Alternative editors in the market do not have the same brushes and color chooser and/or are expensive and also bloated.
Is it possible somehow to push an image from the gallery to this screenshot editor ?
P.S. Is it appropriate to make an app request for this thing ?

Make your Apps e-ink friendly

I've been playing around alot with my nook simple touch and one of my biggest issue is that there isn't a complete theme that i like... I've never been very good at making them apk.
You'll need to use astro or titanium backup to back the apps up so you can download them to your computer.
Then the simple solution to the problem if found... Use APK Edit to change the icon in the apk file. Now i realize that this is not permanent solution because when you update to a newer version of the app it will erase the new icon.
One positive this does have over using a theme is when you customize the quick menu that pops up when you press the N button your new icon will show up.
The app will also let you change the displayed name of the app. so if you have a long app name you can shorten it.
You can also open the APK file with a program like Winzip or 7z replace the any of the images and then re-sign the apk with App Manager.
I've used this app to replace all the image files with ones I've make b/w with photoshop so they are nice an crisp on the e-ink display.
once you replace all the files you want to change you place your Apk in the folder called place-apk-here-for-signing
run script.bat and enter option 16
give it a few seconds and its resigned..
Once you've made your changes just sideload your new apps and install.
Hope this helps others make there Nook Simple Touch more theirs.
Think you post is a bit misnamed.
You can change the name and icon of the app in nearly any launcher. Even hide the name. You can achieve your goal much quicker than tearing up the apk...

Not only the name and icon but you can also change any of the images that the app uses once your in it. You can change the background image to a white one or make the buttons a more contrasting black and white.
Plus if you add any app to the quickmenu it uses the default name and app icon regardless of what you have changed it to.Changing it in the laucnher only changes the in name of the app and the icon in the launcher and the quickmenu is complete separate and the launcher has influence on it.

PHOTOSHOP - icons.

Im trying to resize a set of icons in photoshop.
They are circular, transparent background PNG files.
As is, they are clear & smooth.
Upon import they are automatically distorted, beyond belief.
At this point there has been no editing, i have simply opened the file in photoshop.
Im not sure if its relevant but they are opening as index, locked.
Its not a universal issue, other images open fine.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Also any other advice on what im trying to accomplish;
- resize canvas up (to enlarge transparent background)
- resize image down to original size (to give the effect of a smaller icon)
Im aiming to batch convert a group, ive already defined the actions in photoshop so if i can get around the issue within photoshop that would be my first preference.
Cheers.

With EMUI Theme Editor (from Playstore), you can choose your own picture.

Reduce image size photo editor pro

To select and shrink images with Notes 8 and Photo Editor Pro, as you can see in this video at minute 8.00, a "template" is used on INY .. where can you find it?
What else to reduce the size of an image?

Change Background with Smart Cover

Hi.
There is a way to change the background when I use the smart cover? I mean the window on the right I can see with the smart cover...
Thanks in advance.
Without root you have to change the design in the design app. You can also create your own with apps.
With root you can replace the file, I don't have the correct name, because I deleted it for having a black background, inside the directory "ROOT/data/themes/0/wallpaper"

My phone is no root: can you please tell me which is the design app and the apps I can use to create new ones?
Thanks again
The "Designs" app is a pre installed system app. There you can choose your lockscreen wallpaper, which should also change the smart lock background.
With EMUI Theme Editor you can make your own theme.
I've tried but it changes only the standard background and not the smart lock one, that's why I opened the 3d and made the question...
With the EMUI Theme Editor change the S-View image. You have to crop it to the right size inside the editor before you save the theme. This should work, I've tested it a few minutes ago.
This is another EMUI thing that should be fixed by Huawei, but they don't mind what they're users want to have in the next updates.
I've tried and it works!
Thanks a lot [emoji6]
